  • @AceWand I believe cumin is an ingredient in curry pastes

  • yum thanks im going to try this recipie

  • Nom... :3

  • Very healthy! Low fat, cholesterol free and high in protein. I love spicy curry but have never tried making it without at least a small amount of oil in the pan. Must try this method as it's ideal for keeping the weight down.

  • I AM ON A DIET AND WATCHING THESE QUORN VIDEOS REALLY HELP CURB MY APPETITE!!!! thumbs me up if u think im funnnnny!!!

  • @AceWand You should try to use your own spices as opposed to a ready made curry paste. Or atleast go for a nice quality one, such as bolsts curry powder.

  • I LOVE QUORN

  • this looks absolutely delicious, one question, when you say you can leave it over night, do you mean reduce it then leave it cool over night, or slow cook it over night ?

  • @anthoney987654321

cook it than eat it the next day.

  • Adding tomato juice or puree gives alot more flavour (: and coconut milk.

  • you can use any herb or spice u like.

    its a matter of choice.

  • what country are you from?

  • Umm! the allergy has something to do with Quorn being a fungus of some kind. Well something like that anyway!

  • I have only recently become a vegetarian and it's great videos like these that make the transition so much easier for me. Thanks!

  • LOL. The Final Fantasy theme at the end was a nice highlight. I'm gonna try cooking this, looks gooooood! :)

  • If you want to improve this dish even further, simply use mutton instead.Delicious!!!

  • I don't understand how anyone can possibly disapprove of that comment - three posts down - highlighting that Quorn isn't vegan; that person is correct. I'm only Ovo-vegetarian at the moment, but if others want to stay away from eggs, and simply assert FACT, well that's their prerogative. I personally think gluten's far tastier.

  • Looks great, I will have to try that sometime.

  • ali pan thats kool

  • Quorn contains non-vegan ingredients. No wonder so many are alergic to it.

  • im not vegetarian but i eat quorn all the time cus its sooooooo fukin nice

  • im a vegetarian and i am allergic to Quorn and apparently 10-20% of people are, i just eat it and then violently throw up so many hours later and i throw up for like 3-4 hours it is horrible i burnt my throat because of the vile, i am fine with the other meat free "fake meat" just Quorn :S i have been told cause it is a un natural elements of it? any one else know anyone who is allergic to it ? Meat is Murder peace

  • omg im allergic to quorn too! theres a big thing about it on web. i dint realise other ppl were till i read it. i was getting agonising stomache cramps and vomiting after my 'quorn' sunday dinners, and it twigged that quorn was the only new thing i had been eatin. iv been fine since giving it up. nice isnt it, a vegetarian allergic to quorn lol. im ok with every other fake meat too. quorn is basically vat grown mold, whereas other fake meat is soya. i know which id rather eat...

  • When you say "vat grown mold" that makes it sound awful lol but really how is that any different than eating mushrooms? its just a fungus. Some ppl are allergic to different kinds of fungi. also if a person is allergic to eggs quorn has them in it too. I haven't tried it yet though! :)

  • just eat meat then you can't not like it there are so many different types

  • i used to eat meat, think its tasty and nice, but before i went veggy i would only eat organic because if you research most normal meat is pumped full of dangerous things to make it bigger and fatter look more juicer, it is soaked in a water-salty solution which has many dangerous things in it for example look on a packet of asda smart price sausages look how much meat is in it.its shocking, also what an animal eats you eat scientific fact. then i watched meat is murder video by the smiths

  • it so easy just to say "eat meat". so very very weak.

  • fuk u (below) it is better then eating the real shit

  • Even a a meat-eater I find it hard how you can knock quorn: it tastes nice and is pretty cheap, along with how nutritious it is in comparison to some products...

  • You are lucky that all of you can eat this, I can't as I'm one of the unlucky ones who is sick as a dog everytime she eats Quorn - what a pain as I really like it!

  • could be the lactose in certain quorn products. Here in Switzerland you can get lactose free quorn products.

  • Interesting information about the free range eggs in Switzerland, thank you. I thought the rules were the same as in Denmark.

  • looool haha this vid is awesome , my brothers alway eating quorn, i love thsi cute stuf, but i dont like thas taste of it , smells like paper :-D

  • Thanks for showing i'm doing a Quorn korma curry soon and it will be my first time.

    btw you need to season your wok =0}

  • i live Quorn its verry nice vegetarian

  • Quorn!! Ha Ha! Its one of the most fly words ever! Smile when u hear da quorn!

  • Very nice, could you/would you use tomatoes? And also is there any reason not to use oil? Thank you for the video

  • yes you could use tomatoes. i don't cook with oil because the natural water is enough. :)

  • What ingredient is it at 00:56?

  • cumin seeds. :)

  • But Quorn is not Vegan. They use egg white and whey protein, which is derived from cows' milk.

But vegetarian is already way way better than meat. It's just Quorn isn't vegan, which is a shame.

  • Not all Quorn is made of milk. Here in Switzerland we can get Quorn which is made of 87% Quorn and free range eggs. Would be nice if they could make that stuff without eggs but not using any gluten or so as a substitute.

  • Free Range eggs is the same as other eggs. Eco eggs are better if you think about animal welfare. Free range eggs only require a window in the building or a door, it does not mean that the chickens actually get outside. They are still in same cages treated exactly the same.

  • Maybe in the US but here in Switzerland we have very strict regulations in terms of free range eggs. Cages are banned since the 70`s in Switzerland. Free range chickens are alowed to be outside or in the barn.

  • Quorn, curry AND Final Fantasy music! Heaven! :D

  • I ATE THIS TODAY

  • I am going to try this with gluten or perhaps Morning Star Farms vegetarian "chicken".

  • This looks SOOOO DIVINE!! I've been hankin for an awesome curry recipie and this one looks simply marvelous! THANKS!! I will try this on saturday (as well as the bannana recipe)

  • Great job again!

I say we all pitch in and buy Jameela a new stainless steel All-Clad pan to get rid of that ancient aluminum one. ;)

  • Lmfao no way final fantasy music! You are awesome!

  • Do you still recommend starting with frozen when you are working with ingredients other than tofu, also is their any particular reason that you prefer to avoid using a small quantity of oil at the beginning or are you just trying to reduce the fat content of the dish

  • you should fully defrost all meats before you cook them, but the tofu/quorn is ok to cook from frozen. and if you use it when it is fully defrosted it can fall apart. sometimes you need a tiny amount of oil to stop it from stcking, but since there is a lot of oil in the curry sauce you don't need to add anymore.

  • I am a vegitarian so thanks

  • Thanks for that video Jameela, it was inspirational. I'm going to try making curry tomorrow. :-)

Oh and the Final Fantasy music made the video alot better, lol

  • Mmmmmmmmm

  • The final fantasy music is great.

  • Holy cow! i must have missed this one! That looks so good. Question though, Could i use like firm tofu chunks instead of that like Quorn stuff?

  • i havn't tried it with tofu. but i think it will work :)

  • awsome i am so gonna try<3

  • Nice recipe. :)

  • The local Indian market is quite intimidating with all the different spices and then there are different mixes of spices too! Now I know - I look for the can of tikka masala. Thanks for making it simple!
