No offense to you at all bud but honestly you got alot of practice to do. I'm not sure how long you've been playing MW but I've been playing it for almost 8 years now. Just a few tips which you may or may not know. If you shoot through someones right or left torso and destroy it, shoot it a couple more times and they die, you can do the same thing with the legs but its very frowned upon in multiplayer. (Use to be back in the day, not so much now but old players will spite you for it)

@ildamos I downloaded it :) I am totally new to playing it and the controls are really hard to get used to.... Maybe it's meant to be played with a joy stick?

@TearsOfWar1 My friends play it just fine with a mouse and keyboard combo. Go to INSTANT ACTION in the main menu. From there select TRAINING. That should get you up to speed on the game's controls. :D The DL also comes with a manual. (I haven't played this extensively yet; recently bought FEAR 2, Ghost Recon, and The Orange Box. :D)

I am really not used to pressing '1' to stop all the time... w and s to go back and forward, a and d to strafe left and right, and the scroll wheel controlling how fast you will go when you press those buttons, and stop automatically whenever you let go of the WASD buttons. Can I set it up like that?

@TearsOfWar1 I think there's an option regarding torso twisting but I don't know about the accelerating/decelerating bit. That aside, it's best to practice w the default torso twisting; you're putting yourself at a disadvantage if you opt for the mouse torso twist option. I'll be posting a tutorial vid in the next few weeks but I'm not making any promises (busy w the day job).

@ildamos Actually I found a really good setup for me. W and S is accelerate and decelerate, A and D is turning left and right, the scroll wheel is to change what weapons to fire, right click is to zoom, left is to fire, and the mouse options is to torso twist. All the other buttons to do stuff is fairly close to the WASD keys. IDK feels really natural to me, spent a day configuring the controls. When you are not bust w/ your day job, can you make a tutorial on weapons also?

Hmm a tutorial about weapons would be hard - this game you see, isn't compatible with GameCam the video recording software I bought for $30. Only FRAPS works with it and I'm not about to shell out $40 so soon for another recording software. T_T I'll see if I can make one but there's a very small chance I'll do it. They also updated it between now and that above message I made to .0022 but there aren't any dedicated servers with it on yet.

AI mechs will actually use Jump Jets now, lol (.0021 and before, I have never seen them make use of em.. ever)

Oh yeah, Free Releases also come with the map editor since the original map editor's installer won't detect the MTX MW4 Free Release install.

This game as of now is not played by as many pros as it used to be. but I'm telling you if you want to help anything in relation, try and give support towards the company for the attempt at getting mechwarrior 5 into the beta stages. Yep. The entire video is made up of spliced segments. The phrase got cut. My usual means of recording, GameCam, won't work with MechWarrior so I had to use a free version of FRAPS (which imposes a time limit on non-registered copies).

Specs maybe? But I recorded this using my old PC (p4 2.4Ghz; 7300 GT; 2Gb DDR RAM) so it must be the bumped up contrast. I edited the video using VirtualDub. (Contrast, sharpness, blur, etc)

Yep it's very easy. I don't know how to control it using the other control scheme though (the one where you control the upper body separately while you walk in another direction). MekTek is getting bogged down with legalities. But they're sure they can release it. It's just taking too much time. :(

It's MekTek Net, not "Com." Also, MekTek underwent server maintenance some days back. Check again. They seem to be having problems with Microsoft, which had undergone restructuring.

Ah I've only reviewed the demo version of the game. I'm waiting for it to become freeware. :) In other Battletech games though, I generally pick heavy energy armaments (PPCs, Large Lasers, etc), mix it with weapons that don't generate a lot of heat, and toss in some indirect fire weapon modules like an LRM pack. ("Pack" is that the term? I'm not so good with Battletech-MechWarrior lore.) Thanks for finding this video interesting!

Yeah, just got my copy yesterday (did "buy now" on ebay with a new copy) and got it for $16.00 with black knight expansion pack. Runs great and having the disk is always nice. I try to use 2 heavy lasers (1 PPC and one large laser) with 2-3 medium lasers and a clan flamer to annoy my target. Also use 2 sets of 6 salvo unguided rockets just to keep firing when my heat gets too high. Good combo for me.

Battletech com is being mum about it and the best I could get was "August" this year --- and this is according to one user, not an admin. I've heard they're working on some 'packs for MW4: Mercenaries so they're awfully busy right now. Meanwhile, I've DL'd another freeware official MechWarrior-Battletech game series. This should tide me over until the release. I'll be posting a review of this on my site probably by tomorrow (the 8th of August).
