This was one of those underrated films. It had action, comedy, drama, great visuel affects, an even greater story and it still got the brush off at the cinema. Tragic.
@thatsakrok I checked it out... it's a Buddhist motivational chant: "Nam Myōhō Renge Kyō" it's about arousing deep faith within oneself (or in this case Tuck is motivating Jack).
I always wondered what he was saying too! I didn't find out until college, in world religions class. The prof said it, and i said, "Hey, just like in innerspace!" but no one knew what I was talking about.
@thatsakrok : The words he says are: nam myoho renge kyo! It is the mantra of the buddhism of Nichiren Daishonin. I am also practise this Buddhism. Today I saw this movie in German and they really synchronized it. I was so surprised that I was looking for the original scene on youtube and wanted to see if he really said that in English as well. And, yes he did! Maybe Dennis Quaid is also practicing this Buddhism. Great!

Has anyone else ever actually listened to what's coming out of Schrimshaw's mouth during this scene? It's completely batshit insane, and totally awesome.
I think there's another one that's simaler but I can't remember the name, it's about that this man who has cancer if I remeber right & he's planted a bomb somewhere & the code is inside his body some where & the only way to get to it is to go inside him after he had some kind of accedent
I love the Tuck as a character especially Victor Scrimshaw(not sure how to spell his name) it's so funny how he talks and tries to get Jack into the truck and Tuck looks away when he sees the truck about to hit Jack.
I loved this scene so much! It was fun seeing Jack hold on for dear life when he jumped out of that Freezer truck! The best part of this movie is the friendship between him and Tuck: Tuck gives Jack the courage to do things he didn't think were possible: fight, talk to women, kiss a woman. Jack is a new man because of Tuck! Great post!

Tuck is chanting "Nam myoho renge kyo", a Buddhist chant (Nichiren Buddhism, to be exact.) Not quite what it means in English, though.
Great flick and a childhood favorite. "Play with it, but don't talk to it."
