This Argentinian bitch was probably paid by the bankers to bring down Sanford. He has alot of Ron Paul's ideas and may have stopped the Federal Reserve takeover and enslavement of the United States. He got setup.
Paulson, Bernanke, Geithner, Sommers, Greenspan, Ruben and more. The crooks involved in looting 14 trillion dollars for Goldman Sachs, Chace Manhattan, JP Morgan and whoever else they felt like. And they are all Jews. If Jews don't speak out against these crooks the way they spoke out against Bernie Madoff, as far as I am concerned they are un-American cowards. If any of these bank criminals enter a synagogue, real Jews should tell them off or shun them HARDCORE
STUPID DECISION ? How ironic... Now make a brilliant decision Governor and please STEP DOWN
de lever and take care of your important business at HOME and those little guys you were so concerned about. WHAT HIPOCRICY. remember what you said about Bill Clinton. Now it is your turn.
It's almost ironic. The Utah governor is also a Republican and he took the stimulus money and now Utah citizens are angry at him. I guess that they feel that he sold the Mormons to the devil. Can't win either way, IMO.
Their constituents should remember this at the polls...turds like Sanford, Jindal and Palin placed their political aspirations before the needs of their states.
His lack of understanding is astounding. we will lose 7,000 state jobs; increase unemployment by 2% - which by the way is already borrowing money from the federal government. Maybe we should be consider the fact that his tax policies have put SC on a credit watch list from Moody's and have choked municipalities ability to pay for Capital Projects. Too bad he failed to mention that it is federal money and we have to pay for it even if we don't use it - so yes lets finance 49 other states.
I have a tremendous amount of respect for him making such an obviously unpopular decision to follow his principles and looking after the best long term interests of SC.
Anyone know why he turned it down? Its not just about principle or that he doesnt think its going to help.Obama had all kinds of strings attached for taking the money including changing labor laws and stuff that will last long after the money is gone. You have to think farther ahead than just this pot of gold in front of you.And let me tell you something, money isnt the problem with SC schools, particularly poor black ones . . . if you disagree, look at funding and notice the lack of correlation.
Im from SC, I am a republican. Sanford is not my favorite some of his views and choices I have been totaly against. But.. with this thoughts and views on this package of "bailout/stimulas" I agree this is not free money it has 2 be paid back.. Clyburn does not care about his region he represents ask him how much he visits the areas in SC he serves once every election cycle when he is on the ballott
Sanford is turning down stimulus money for South Carolina. It is a shame that he won't use any of it for the state's poor schools especially in the "Corridor of Shame." I see a power back lash from the black community and educators if he decides to run for Republican nominee for president in 2012. I forsee blacks voting in the GOP primary ffor a moderate Republican to try to wash him out. I don't see why the state legislative body can't check his power in not taking stimulus money.
Haha. I can guarantee you 95% of blacks will not think far enough into it to vote in a republican primary. All they see is republican and think "george bush" and "the devil" and don't realize that voting for the lesser of two evils (in their mind) might actually help them in the long run.
That does make sense. His decision is strictly political. Politicians do that regardless of what party they belong to. Politics as usual. By the way, GO BRAVES!!
Good comments, Gov. Sanford. Too bad Washington, DC's notion of 'bipartisanship' entails ignoring your and others' perspective and warning.
You've been put in a very tough place with this federal deficit spending 'stimulus' nonsense, which reaches back to the train wreck of the Bush administration, but we in SC support you.
