  • Looks like the industry got an unexpected surprise when they bent over to pick up the sopa.

  • wmg doesnt want any more heros

  • Warners suck, i was in this industry for a time parrallel importing and warners were the dunbest company i came across. They all sit there wishing the 80's would come back .......don't worry it's the last little sabre rattle of a company that has not evolved with the times and is desparately trying to hold back the tide.

  • 08/16/11 "Record Industry Braces for Artists’ Battles Over Song Rights"

Search this and read. The shysters and leaches are already scared and reaching for the lawyers.

"...the recording industry has made a gazillion dollars on those masters, more than the artists have"

  • metalica, shit, is responsible 4 this... too much money can breed greed . then u lose ur original fans that got u there.... ill go for socialism!

  • Please check out my video: Funeral Service for a Hell Raiser...Click my name yobigbrotheronline below and then see all under the uploads tab.

  • Kiss you hand 10 times.

Say your crushes name 15 times

    Post this on 2 vids.

    Look at your hand

  • Imagine the tune in your head. Now try to walk down the street without strutting your funky stuff, difficult isn't it?

  • Haha, I downloaded it before YouTube/WMG took it down. Nanny nanny boo boo!

  • WMG are not faggots. They are anti-piracy activists.

  • @vevoumgwmg ... Screw you idiot.

They have shafted many good users here.

So keep on sucking the WMG cock, you crude barbarian.

  • @SamPD2 Well I will try to keep my cool, but WMG did the right thing here by muting pirated audio.

The user had no permission to upload this.

  • @vevoumgwmg DUDE, YOU FUCKING THINK EVERYONE WHO IS NOT WMG OR VEVO IS A PIRATE, WAKE UP AND REALIZE WMG AND VEVO ARE MESSING WITH YOUTUBE, ok, they're good for making youtube free, but besides that, they have to realize what they're doing and be more careful for what they are doing when attacking pirates, cause not everyone is what wmg and vevo thinks they are, I thought people like you would know this, but I guess you have no choice but to support these companies instead of doing what's right

  • @roboguy75 I am not sure why you think that I have this belief that everyone should be converted to VEVO or WMG....I am just saying that if you do not have the legal rights or permission to upload something that is not completely yours, then you are violating Youtube polices and (possibly) you are a pirate.

  • @vevoumgwmg Are you kidding?

He is dead. Yet they want to make every ounce of money from it.

I don't see any harm whatsoever in uploading this video.

  • @SamPD2 He might be dead, but his property still has a rightful owner...and it ain't this guy.

  • @vevoumgwmg i thought since the link to amazon was posted that was a kind of permission, guess not.

  • Congrats WMG for keeping the public from accessing your music. Brilliant.

    WMG CEO EDGAR BRONFMAN JR

  • Notice how Mr./Ms. Shareholder continues to maintain a 'favorites' playlist which includes some co-opted and/or pirated uploads. Mr./Ms. Shareholder wants to have his/her cake and eat it too. Hmmm...

  • @TigerRocket yes his/her non-profit, "here's some great music if you like it consider buying it" flavored cake

i remember when people could each have cake, and could try other people's cake freely and without harassment... Not like now when cake is no longer eaten for pleasure; it is eaten for business

  • i was getting vexed reading these comments by the shareholder but actually that was also a cracking bit of music so cheers wmg suck

  • A little lesson to the haters: Many of the artists that sign with WMG never make back the money that it costs (paid by WMG) to distribute their work. The profits that WMG makes come mostly from a handful of superstar artists. Without those profits, WMG could not afford to sign new acts. Artists who don't like the contracts offered to them are of course free to sign with another company. WMG's history, though, shows that a lot of acts have stayed with them, even after they didn't have to.

  • ''I have seen hell. . . I have been to hell. . . I was signed to Warner Brothers for eight fucking years. . . '' - Frank Zappa

  • Mr./Ms. Shareholder likes to pretend He/she's the only one with moral standing and understanding. Mr./Ms. Shareholder continues to make money from something Mr./Ms. Shareholder had absolutely no hand whatsoever in actually creating. Mr./Ms. Shareholder has compiled a personal YT play list of "unauthorized" uploads. This proves Mr./Ms. Shareholder to be a ridiculous pouting hypocrite.

  • F*CK U WMG!

  • As a WMG shareholder, I approve of their efforts to protect their copyrights. They would be remiss not to. Using copyrighted music in a video without authorization is piracy. And youtube would not have become as popular as it has without abetting such piracy.

I'm shocked by the entitlement mentality of those who have posted anti-WMG videos. Recorded music is expensive to produce and market. Nobody has the right to use it without permission. And no, the "fair use" doctrine does not apply.

  • @xlxfjh Dear Mr shareholder.

when a film or music is considered art, it is due to the fact that the piece of art promoted certain ideas and values that should be accessible for everyone. People like you, Mr. Shareholder, will never understand the true meaning of art and creativity. As an artist, one has to earn credibility through e.g. touring and promoting music. Therefore it is not sufficient to create one or two 'masterpieces' that pay generations of businessmen until they burst eventually.

  • @PawlowDogs Music recordings are commercial products just like boxes of detergent. Artists who sign with WMG and major labels do so to maximize the sale of their products. They don't get any revenue from youtube posters copying their recordings to a random video that may have nothing to do with the music. That is nothing but cooptation and piracy.

  • @xlxfjh Once you put something online, it will always be out there. People will take it for free, I didn't make the rule but that's just the way it is. WMG just needs to accept this and stop trying to censor every creative work on youtube that just happens to feature music that the WMG "owns." Look at all the hate for the company that this has generated. It's bad for you, me, WMG, and YouTube.

  • kurwa ale kicha

  • F**CK YOU WMG!

  • How to REALLY fight Youtube censorship:

    watch?v=DYdsZWcZVIM

  • This footage and the music actually work together so well.... I am misty eyed!! :-*)

  • Damn WMG!!!

  • I just found out that the WMG has been owned by the Chinese Government since January 2007!!!

  • Fuck them for doing this, such a pile of wank.

  • WELL THIS IS SOME BULLSHIT!!!

    I LOVE DIS SONG!!

    WMG'S A BUNCH OF FUCKERS!!!!! -_-

  • It really seems like all high schools should be forced to include a course of study on the laws of copyright in their curriculum, as so many teens seem to regard it merely as an inconvenience rather than a formal legal entity that protects the intellectual rights of both artists and composers. You create something that you make money from (your living) - you want every Joe putting your creation up on the web. Good luck to you

  • ya none of this is new. large privately owned companies will always rip off the people under their thumb..... in this case that includes you, me, and the performers.

  • This is why Prince broke away from Warner Bros. because of shit like this!

  • @kalimaganeshshivan WoW.. I didn't knew..

  • See my vid at

    watch?v=71CkMH_3a0A

for a complete list of WMG artists to boycott

  • i hope piracy put the Warner shareholders in the fucking soup kitchen and eating of garbage . . . bunch of jew snakes

  • the music industry is killing music

  • Repost and appeal -- Warner did NOT own Stax when this song came out. They had been released from their Atlantic contract, and were being distributed by Dot. WMG has no basis for a claim. Besides, according to YouTube, WMG is back in! Please put this up again.

  • I just took a big WMG and flushed it down the toilet

  • corporations are too greedy these days...they even begrudged paying their employees thats why they go to place like China and Vietnam where people will work for near nothing

  • Do they own happy birthday?

  • @56BUICKRiviera actually believe it or not someone (not sure if it is though WMG though) does indeed own the copyrights to happy birthday lol

  • @cornflaker: Chappel Music, part of WMG, owns the rights to "Happy Birthday To You". It's considered the most profitable song in Western music history. That's why they don't perform it in "cake & candle" scenes in movies or on TV.

  • WMG horseshit forever!!!!

  • as usal, someone else has posted it, and it's still available

  • SUPER PLAYLIST !!!! DANKE !!!

  • That's why I use torrents. I think we all should use free download sites until the big music machines ante up to the artists and their families for robbing em blind through the years.

And the same corporations have the nerve to protest downloading. Bull!

  • god give us back isaac hayes we will offer you justin bieber

  • @wouter040795 Problems is God wants to keep Isaac Hayes.

  • Fuck WMG till they bleed!

  • WMG just made another $0.99. I just bought "Theme from 'Shaft'" from Amazon.

  • I muted this video, i put the real song and it looks like video some months ago , haha, try it =P

  • Hahaha, Damnn!! Anyway , the song sounds like Shaft... WMG, Shut your mouth"

    hehe

  • wmg cunts !!!!!!!!!!

  • Warner Music Group now wants to buy up all the fresh water in the world ...and there are nasty rumors they are trying to buy the rights to OXYGEN in the atmosphere

Can you believe it? Dam right I am boycotting anything associated with these nazis. If I find out anyone is doing business with WMG...I won't buy their product

  • @MatrixFactoryGuy -HEELL YEAH!

  • BOYCOTT WMG. DON'T BUY MUSIC, VIDEOS, OR ANYTHING ELSE FROM THEM. What is the next step Warner? make us wear head phones so the people that did not pay can't hear it? You have crossed the line and need to be put out of business!

  • Comment removed

  • Fuck WMG and the dinosaur music industry CEOs.

  • The point is, how the hell is it taking any cent off WMG's plate if a simple video uploader is playing a song on YouTube? I'm sorry but I can't connect the dots here. This deal that WMG has with songs like this that we've heard in countless other places for years has got to be 1 of the grossest of injustices. What's more, this site used to be about the public, i.e. US. Now we're just susceptible to growing limitations from more silly clauses in contracts, YouTube should have read the fine print.

  • There is a way around this contact me

  • i realy hate wmg.... i always found new songs and such on youtube..

now i only hear little cry wayne on mtv If there isnt a real life soap going on -.-

  • so what was this before WMG fucked it over then?

  • WMG = Corporatist Fascists

WMG, Viacom and Sony would make Hitler and Mussolini proud.

  • The replacement music is beautiful; but not what I was looking for.

  • WMG, Sony Music and similar companies act they're personally being robbed every time someone posts a track that they own the rights to. They, of course, only provided nothing but the fairest of deals to their artists themselves. George Michael can testify to this.

Let's hope WMG and Sonny Music are a dying breed.

  • WMG headquarters

    75 Rockefeller Plaza

    New York, NY 10019

    Tel: (212) 275-2000

  • What is the replacement music? Just wondering.

  • Why is it that there are other videos on YouTube of this tune? Just curious.

  • @MaceMn WMG just haven't gotten to them yet. I had a Doobie Brothers track up for about a year before I was caught.

  • @MaceMn

They had the audio removed from this clip, because this clip had the most views. YouTube is smart. WMG wanted more money from YouTube. YouTube refused. WMG said that YouTube could not use "WMG-music" anymore. YouTube removed a lot of high-profile clips that use "WMG-music". Everybody started hating WMG (because YouTube made sure we all knew who wanted the audio removed). WMG backed off. And now you see "WMG-music"on YouTube again...

  • @Troublesome2008 is this realy true, technology always win,wmg need to recognise that fact

  • @MaceMnI have no idea. I'm just thankful they exist.

  • Grand ole opry LLC actually deletes our videos instead of given you a chance plus they give you a strike on your account...they'r all fuck wads...like what really is the problem...it's not like we are making one penny off this and they act like a bunch of cry babies...if it wasn't for us youtubers their music would never be heard again...... total dumb shit CEO's.....

  • wmg is not an "evil corp," they are a STUPID CORP. if they were evil, they probably would be more calculating. there is a reason why big record labels are about to go the way of the dinosaurs. don't look more into it than you have to. stupid and dead isn't that great. i just wish i could see Isaac here!

  • WMG is an evil corporation, and the U.S. government allows them to control us and our free speech. If I was the government, I would have shut down Warner Music Group years ago and abolished copyright laws to liberate youtube artists so they can freely express themselves. This is a free country, right, not some corporate-ruled fascist state?

  • geuss the next thing we will have to worry about is wmg wont let us read the lyrics.OHHH WELL GEUSS WMG NEVER READ THE CONSTITUTION.

  • They muted my audio before anyone had even watched the video!

  • when google took over youtube it changed a whole bunch. first we got the crappy beta channels then wmg sided with google and muted 91.3421% of all its videos with music thats not registered therefore most videos was blocked, muted or deleted and most channels was suspeended, or closed.

  • Let's start with tort reforms. I know that we live in a litiginous society and yes, it is morally wrong. One good thing I can say about the Freemasons is that they have a standing rule which prohibits them from suing a fellow member. As a society we could stand to learn a few good things from them. One of the many reasons why 60's youth rebelled is because of the materialistic attitudes of the 50s culture where superficial social games were played as those "who counted" kept up with the Joneses.

  • @Onsube

Thats fine, but if WMG wants to go after me, a DJ, I will pull their music. Plus keep in mind, I live in Russia, WMG can not touch me. Who looses the most, their artists.

Also, WMG sometimes claims music that they do not have rights too. I am already in one dispute with them.

WMG is also destroying myspace. A lot of music artists and labels do not use that site because they can not even upload music that they own because WMG claims it is theirs, and you can not dispute it there.

  • @ianjohn05

Oh and while we are at it. The laws are not right. USA has idiotic laws. The laws do not explain right vs wrong, they only explain what is allowed.

Plus, a lot of people hear music on you tube and are likely to purchase it after hearing it on you tube.

    Stupid laws.

  • @ianjohn05 I totally agree. Just because the law says it's right, doesn't mean it's right. Some laws really need to be changed.

  • I attempted to post a video response. I do not know if you have to approve it, but if you do, please so.

I am a professional DJ. I have DJed in venues from New York to Moscow. I also am and have been in radio for 12 years now. I recently have been trying to promote my mixes on US web sites and have been having problems because of WMG. result: I have had to pull their music from my rotation. The artists loose most of all. They loose club and radio play.

  • @ianjohn05 This is so true and it's too bad that Frank Zappa is no longer with us to help back up the comment you have just posted. To make the long story short, please review Frank Zappa's interviews where he takes great pains to describe the music industry. Yes, pains to them and more like a tickle to him.

  • Teddy und er werden gemeinsam an guter Musik arbeiten mit vielen da "oben"

  • wow thats bullshit.

  • what wolfstev76 said:

WMG are obviously too stupid to read the studies that show that ppl who download ("pirate" or "steal") music are MUCH more likely to BUY (as in pay real money for) music than ppl who don't.

    So let's help educate them.

NOT ONE PENNY to ANY WMG entity -- that means Warner, Reprise, Atlantic, ATCO, Electra, Asylum, Nonesuch, Stax, Erato, and Rhino -- until they stop this nonsense.

    Spread the word.

  • I've discoverd a lot of music that I liked (and bought) via You Tube and other places online. now, if I hear something I like, I research to see who they're signed to. If it's WMG, then I buy it used so WMG doen't get any of my money. I would rather pay 5 dollars too much to an individual than to give another 5 cents to Warner Bros.

  • I feel ya on that. I don't have a problem sharing music with people for free if I have it. I would rather give it away then give it to a company like wmg. Sorry bastards....

  • @FireitupBedford

I hate them (WMG) with a perfect hatred

  • @FireitupBedford I agree with you. I do it myself.

  • @skovol007 Walk into any Good Will Store, or Salvation Army Thrift Shop. Find places that sell used LPs and tapes. Buzz through any consignment shop or second hand store. Find Garage sales that have albums for sale. All of these ways

were how I got tunes in the 70s and 80s. These ways can work today, too.

  • @skovol007 I can dig it!

  • Appeal the decision.

WMG does not own the rights to the music from the album released on Enterprise (read: Stax) Records. Those rights belong to Concord Music Group, which purchased them from Fantasy Records. Fantasy took over Stax when the original label closed up in the late 70's.

Warner has the rights to the audio soundtrack of the motion picture itself, NOT the ALBUM or any recording sessions for it. Warner Bros. purchased the MGM film library in the Ted Turner buyout. Appeal the decision.

  • No. Stax was distributed by Atlantic Records (a label owned by WMG), which explains the WMG copyright claim on this video.

  • Mist!!!

  • I said it before and I'll say many times again...boycott Warners Music Group

  • getting tired of this... now how will i know who's the man that would risk his neck for his brother man?

  • F*CK U WMG!

  • My Wallet says: "Hi Universal!"

  • @remix91742, Don't even think about it.

I think they also mute videos.

  • No, This whole legal dispute is between Warner Music Group and Google - which owns YouTube - Universal is probably laughing at Warner's stupidity.

  • @remix91742, So you are saying they allow the use of their music?

  • Well, they are not muting videos with indiscriminate willpower all across Youtube. Search artists like ABBA, AFI, etc. Their videos wont be muted by some petty copyright infringement.

Now If your search artists like Isaac Hayes or Bjork here on YouTube, good luck finding a video with audio.

  • @remix91742, I guess. But it depends.

Do they belong to WMG? Or Universal?

It depends on many factors. A great video can be turned into a bad one when the audio is muted.

  • We hate old cartoons that is unavailable

    Mom's don't care about classics

Go cry like a pussy cause its not coming back

    WMG = Evil!

  • ''I have seen hell. . . I have been to hell. . . I was signed to Warner Brothers for eight fucking years. . . '' - Frank Zappa

  • Frank Zappa didn't give a shit for warner brothers either.

  • Warner Bros was hip in the 70's. I sent them two bucks cash in themail many times and received all the sampler lps. Now they wouldn't dare give music away like that although mp3's could be emailed fir little of nothing.

that's why the music industry is a joke now. These no talent, autotuned clowns. Some don't try to stay in tune. Sounds as if they are in the shower. Psssssst!

  • @Caasi02 See that's why we've got to take the music back and put it back in the hands of the creators.

  • @Caasi02 welcome to the internet. they stop promoting good music and they force that crap down our throats as the only other choice. yet, thanks to P2P, we can get the music we enjoy and will promote it completely and refuse to spend hard earned money on post produced shit. thats a nice middle finger to the DRM companies :]

  • well looks like I'm gonna have to cure this itch with the ole' Shaft DVD!

You're spot on btw, lastangelman that is

Up the death rate of MGM spawns!!!

  • LOL yes indeed FUCK WMG

  • what can I say that has not already been said,

    fuck wmg?

get with the times most of the music I buy I first find out about online.

if you censor it all I can not hear it and then i will not buy it.

  • Que le den por donde más duela a Warner y a todas las empresas que sigan su política. Ellas solas irán cayendo por su propio peso en el futuro si algún juez bien untado no lo impide

  • FUCK!

  • ok here's a history lesson. warner brothers in the 70's was one of the coolest labels going. they used to put out these 2 lp samplers of their artists for 2 bucks a piece, and they'd actually let an artist stay on their label for more than one or 2 lp's if they weren't selling 2 or 3 million copies each time out....it was amazing at one time...alice cooper, captain beefheart, fleetwood mac, the everly brothers, faces/rod stewart, the list goes on and on...too bad they're such lameasses now.

  • good point...the problem nowadays is the sheer volume of artists out there, and if someone isn't selling records WMG can simply take their pick out of millions of others and promote the hell out of them. remember musics not about hard work, integrity or songwriting any more, its about image and promotion :(

  • only in the popular music scene. and its actually always been that way. now its actually much easier for unknown artists to get out there. people keep feeding the idea that music today is all fake and that musicians are all businessmen, but its not really how it is; look at the indie scene for an example

  • @gotbass7 Easier? Really? Somehow I don't belive that.

  • well yeah. nowadays anyone can go out and buy something to record their own music. they can record an album, and put it online, and advertise it with the internet. you dont need a record company to be popular, people lately are diggin the underground scene, bringing it above the surface. its interesting actually, a lot of the major labels are becoming indie and a lot of the indie labels are becoming major

  • Hmm. I guess so. I was mainly being sarcastic because I don't think it's that easy, espcially with the record companies cracking down on nearly everything. I've found that getting the RIGHT gear is actually quite difficult.. but I'm in a different genre... totally different. If I didn't need a decent guitar.. I'd probably have more done to show people.

  • What?................

  • WMG SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Fuck you WMG! Can you dig it?

  • Damn your satan worshipping hides you shower of fuckwits WMG

  • Damn right fuck wmg!!!!!!

  • WMG should choke on a bowl of dicks

  • FUCK WMG!!

  • fuck you

  • Yeah really: Screw WMG.

  • FUCK WMG!

  • THIS SUCKS !!!

  • well any fuck you wGMG all my music is downloaded free of course from illegal third party sources so fuck you

  • fuck you WMG u peadofiles

  • UGH!!! Hayes is probably rolling over in his grave

  • What you guys don't understand is that there's nothing wrong with corporations that attempt profit maximization. Nobel Prize Winning Economist Milton Friedman once said "the only social responsibility of a corporation is the maximization of profit."

However, WMG is behaving like retards when they force us to remove all our audio, when they could instead monetize it, which would increase their profit by both giving them better Public Relations and additional advertising revenue.

  • WMG are the worst with this kind of over zealous enforcement of copyright.

I won't buy any of WMG's music new, only 2nd hand. I suggest others do the same. Those grasping bastards at Warner don't deserve the sales.

On a brighter note, I've noticed some postings of mine that were instantly blocked by the Universal Music Group over six months ago, have recently become 'live'! It could be that UMG at least are realising the benefit of allowing their music to heard on mediums like this.

  • Shafted indeed.

  • Your weirder than me!

    Think you for the blissness!

  • Warner executives are pedophiles, thats why they thought it would be funny to make Porky Pig giggle before they suddenly decided to ruin YouTube!

If would make my day if you repeated this message to other anti Warner videos!

  • chef!

  • You sure you aren't pushing a Stravinsky record instead?

  • How unhonorable, WMG, completely stupid and selfcentered.

  • It's getting worse now. The same music groups are trying to get congress to pass a tax that would force RADIO STATIONS to pay MONEY to play/promote THEIR MUSIC. If they wanted to commit business suicide, there are quicker ways.

  • this is stupid and you can imagine what idiot group came up with it.

  • When will these idiots get it. Its because of YouTube that i go buy new CD's by Hayes and Prince. You're stopping your own sales you dumb asses. You can't buy what you never heard of.

  • Since Isaac isn't here anymore, couldn't they just play the audio as a tribute? Or wait, what am I saying, wmg cares about profits, not about respect.

  • boycot wmg by nothing buying any of their shit

  • i like how wmg gets to controll what we put on, and see on the internet. Opression is alive and well i see

  • move to dailymotion, they won't do anything over there

  • WHORES

    MUTING

    GOODIES

  • when we learn to stick together..... we can play the same game - may even play it better......get yo-self orgaized, become biz savvy.

  • What a disgrace to the United States of America!

  • i know wmg really pisses off many people because there are people like me who made there first highlight videos and the amvs and thanks to warner we have our videos disables or audio muted that really GRINDS MY GEARS
