I must confess, when I saw recent clips of Roy on YouTube I thought the show looked a bit cheesy (all that hand clapping etc). And then I went to see him earlier this month and was blown away. Still in amazing voice, and a brilliant showman.

Me and my brother went to see roy wood play live a week before this in colne they were great. I was really surprized at how good they were they went a hour past curfew time as it was like a package of bands from the 70s they were headlining for.

Roy one of the truely Rock & Roll Greats of all time. It's a shame and so sad that he never got or gets the respect and admiration he deserves. He should be ranked up there with the biggest names out there, from Ray Davies, Brian Wilson, Pete Towhnsend, John Lennon, Bob Dylan...

Yes! It's nice- and reassuring- when a veteran still has the voice that we know. I heard a recording a few years ago of Joni Mitchell and didn't realize it was her at first. The smoking really took its toll.

Oh, he really is good here. He sounds like he did in 1968. Unlike Sir Paul, who is getting a little creaky in the pipes, Roy is as good as ever, if not better. Such a great band, too. Thanks for posting this on YouTube.
