I'm pretty sure im the only 16 year old in England who's been brought up listening to Roy Wood, The Beatles etc haha. Because judging by the comments, most of them seem to be from middle aged men!
@potatoface13 - Yeah, the audience at that show was pretty much a geezer's convention. I've always been baffled at how segregated by age the world is. Good music is good music, and at least my own children know that. Rock on!
The guy's still got it after all these years. What an amazing arrangement. Been a fan for 42 years now & still going strong. Bought all the singles, EP & lp's. Hope I get to see before I die, Roy. My favorite pic will always be the flip side of the EP. You guys looked so natural & relaxed.
I must confess, when I saw recent clips of Roy on YouTube I thought the show looked a bit cheesy (all that hand clapping etc). And then I went to see him earlier this month and was blown away. Still in amazing voice, and a brilliant showman.
Me and my brother went to see roy wood play live a week before this in colne they were great. I was really surprized at how good they were they went a hour past curfew time as it was like a package of bands from the 70s they were headlining for.
Roy one of the truely Rock & Roll Greats of all time. It's a shame and so sad that he never got or gets the respect and admiration he deserves. He should be ranked up there with the biggest names out there, from Ray Davies, Brian Wilson, Pete Towhnsend, John Lennon, Bob Dylan...
Yes! It's nice- and reassuring- when a veteran still has the voice that we know. I heard a recording a few years ago of Joni Mitchell and didn't realize it was her at first. The smoking really took its toll.
Man, I just loved it. Blackberry Way was one of those songs from a distant childhood. Just great; nice to see Roy has not lost it. Congrats to the filmer' by the way, who is the lady singing wit him?
Oh, he really is good here. He sounds like he did in 1968. Unlike Sir Paul, who is getting a little creaky in the pipes, Roy is as good as ever, if not better. Such a great band, too. Thanks for posting this on YouTube.
We may be middle aged but men of the world that know our good music when we hear it!!

Sounds like a cross between the James Bond theme and Penny Lane.

Iconic Blackberry Way,it's been in my head since I was an 8-year old.
Epic song in major and minor keys,a mixture of too sad Strawberry Fields and over-happy Penny Lane.Roy got it right! For British history books...

You're so welcome. Again, all praise to my daughter, Zoe, who did such a super job with her little Canon digital camera.
