  • We may be middle aged but men of the world that know our good music when we hear it!!

  • !!! ='))

  • Roy Wood and John Barry... Who could ask for more?

  • Sounds like a cross between the James Bond theme and Penny Lane.

  • Harmi että et esiintynyt kunnolla Ruisrockissa silloin joskus v. -73. Äänentoisto muka ei toiminut... :(

  • Iconic Blackberry Way,it's been in my head since I was an 8-year old.

Epic song in major and minor keys,a mixture of too sad Strawberry Fields and over-happy Penny Lane.Roy got it right! For British history books...

  • wow that's brilliant - the john barry going into the song

  • i am french fan of the move since 1967 ,i realy love their voices

  • Rockin Roy Rules !!.

  • hes still rockin it, nice to see!

  • I'm pretty sure im the only 16 year old in England who's been brought up listening to Roy Wood, The Beatles etc haha. Because judging by the comments, most of them seem to be from middle aged men!

  • @potatoface13 - Yeah, the audience at that show was pretty much a geezer's convention. I've always been baffled at how segregated by age the world is. Good music is good music, and at least my own children know that. Rock on!

  • @potatoface13 my dad did the same to me :P

  • @potatoface13 So? What do you want? A biscuit? Silly twat...

  • @Damnblastify

ooh that'd be nice! maryland chocolate chip please, although im quite fond of hobnobs.. nah i'll stick with maryland chocolate chip. peace

  • He ain't changed one bit. Good lad Roy .Keep at it mate.

  • Brilleunt never alters Up with the rincelys!

  • The guy's still got it after all these years. What an amazing arrangement. Been a fan for 42 years now & still going strong. Bought all the singles, EP & lp's. Hope I get to see before I die, Roy. My favorite pic will always be the flip side of the EP. You guys looked so natural & relaxed.

  • i saw him at Dixi land show bar at the end of colwyn bay pier in 1980 with the helicoptors absolutly brilliant is there and instrument he cant play

  • i love the James Bond intro segueing into Blackberry Way and the way he picks up that motif throughout :) Nice one, Roy.

  • I f****ing near cried when I heard this song...FANTASTIC

  • whats fool introduction, delete it's introductions please

  • i love this song :) especially when Gary Holton and Casino Steel sing it :)

  • I must confess, when I saw recent clips of Roy on YouTube I thought the show looked a bit cheesy (all that hand clapping etc). And then I went to see him earlier this month and was blown away. Still in amazing voice, and a brilliant showman.

  • Does the phrase "come to America" mean anything? To see Roy in concert has been an over 35 year old dream.

  • Roy Wood is a Genious!

  • I'll always think of the amazing shit going on in England in the long dregs between the few quality acts that ever make it to northern canada :(

YOU'RE ALL SPOILED IN THE UK! haha

  • Reminds me to my youth. Very good Roy. Keep on rocking

  • Very extraordinarily clever, good stuff Roy!

  • Me and my brother went to see roy wood play live a week before this in colne they were great. I was really surprized at how good they were they went a hour past curfew time as it was like a package of bands from the 70s they were headlining for.

  • Roll on Rockin Roy .

  • roy wood - genius!! what a song, what a man.

  • She isn't his wife, and unfortunately, she isn't mine either! Her name is Shell Naylor.

  • After waiting for many years to see this legend I have managed to see him 3 times in the last 2 years -this man is great!Keep Rocking Roy!

  • sound track of my childhood-and im 19! haha fond memories :D

i wish i existed when this was new!

haha i love the intro to this vid-pity alice coopers band doesnt do stuff kinda like this any more :P

  • Roy one of the truely Rock & Roll Greats of all time. It's a shame and so sad that he never got or gets the respect and admiration he deserves. He should be ranked up there with the biggest names out there, from Ray Davies, Brian Wilson, Pete Towhnsend, John Lennon, Bob Dylan...

  • My only wish is he come to the Boston, Ma area. If anyone hears let me know. Thanks.

  • I agree dvdbtlr , please Roy come to the States, I'm in Boston too!!!

Long Live Roy Wood and the Move!!!!

  • A true legend. Brilliant live act.

  • BOND WOOD

  • LONG LIVE ROY WOOD.

  • Great to see this. I went to the same tour last year and saw him near manchester. It was a great gig he went 1 hour over his allocated time.

  • Woody still has some pipes!

  • Yes! It's nice- and reassuring- when a veteran still has the voice that we know. I heard a recording a few years ago of Joni Mitchell and didn't realize it was her at first. The smoking really took its toll.

  • bobprompter a man/woman after my own heart. where was this concert? wish i'd been there!!

  • Birmingham Town Hall, just before Christmas '07.

  • Wow! Great Voice.....and what agreat song!

  • Man, I just loved it. Blackberry Way was one of those songs from a distant childhood. Just great; nice to see Roy has not lost it. Congrats to the filmer' by the way, who is the lady singing wit him?

    Cheers

  • Very good recording. Nice to see Roy can still cut it.

  • Oh, he really is good here. He sounds like he did in 1968. Unlike Sir Paul, who is getting a little creaky in the pipes, Roy is as good as ever, if not better. Such a great band, too. Thanks for posting this on YouTube.

  • You're so welcome. Again, all praise to my daughter, Zoe, who did such a super job with her little Canon digital camera.
