Alot of smouldering happening here. Its a wonder they Strange how the plot builds of the tension between these two so well, and then hands Tracy to her elderly ex-husband in the end, for no obvious reason, except she realises her fiancée is a jerk, and Frank is already spoken for.

@jenni4claire I sort of agree - in The Philadelphia Story there was a lot more passion between Tracy and Dexter - the characters played by Cary Grant and Katharine Hepburn were quite clearly meant for each other. In this version....Grace and Bing do still have that 'something', but it's much more companionable. They're closer to being very good friends - which by definition lacks that 'spark'. In the end though I think they're a nice couple, and that bit on the boat is adorable :)

i realize something.hopefully i won't spoil anything for you folks. but i think the director made a serious mistake of making bing crosby the cary grant character in high society, and frank sinatra the jimmy stewart. the roles SHOULD HAVE BEEN REVERSED.

Which is kinda strange because I'm a gigantic fan of Katharine Hepburn and The Philly Story is one of my favourite movies. Wow! I was watching Grace through this entire thing and it reminded me of a Cary Grant quote on her - "Grace Kelly acted the way...Fred Astaire danced. She made it look so easy. Some people said that Grace was just being herself. Well, that's the toughest thing to do if you're an actor."

In this clip, her reactions to Frank are so natural. Even though she's not talking, it's still fascinating to watch.
