I have the same Maybelline palette, well...the pinker one. I love what you did with it. Gorgeous! I do recommend this palette, though you're right, it does need a base.

I would like to know what is better and the difference between the mac prep + prime transparent finishing powder/pressed vs the mac set powder invisible? I have oily skin and I feel like when I put on makeup I become more shiny . i would like 1 to control the shine and with a matte finish

@babysaphire87 the prep & prime powder is great for controlling oil, but you must be careful how much you use you only need a little!

@mazviebabie I use a little scotch tape to pick up the glitter, a little of the foundation will transfer but I just pat some powder over it and it's good as new :)

@aishu559 Sorry sweetie, but most of my subscribers as well as myself prefer it to be closer to the eye. simply because you can see every single little detail and you won't miss a beat. besides, if it looks beautiful close-up, it's guaranteed to look beautiful from far away :) In most of my other videos I also shows photos of my whole face if that helps ya, I guess it just varies on the video. you weren't asking for too much by the way!

@MsChocolex thank you so much. truthfully guys I would not say this looks remotely close to high-end, after a few hours some of the colors start to fade a little bit, even with a primer, and a base underneath. I would rate the eyeshadows as so-so but I don't think it's too bad for a drugstore brand, it just wouldn't be my first choice :-P

Great great great video. Not only did you use a inexpensive brand but you didn't use 50 different things. Some people I watch their eye tutorials and they use 20 different eyeshadows. That fine and the result is great, but then I have to go out and buy 20 different shadows haha.

@DreamingDittle not necessarily. the idea here is we show you the TECHNIQUE, and then you execute and work with what you have. Some people actually have a larger collection of makeup and are actually able to follow along. These videos apply to everyone, even if you don't necessarily have all the products they use, just make it work for you and what you have. that's what we all do here!

@DarknessXhearts ricepaper is good for just about everything, except purples. when I wear purple eyeshadow I stick to something that has a duochrome/purple look to it. it just looks so much better

@shyde003 the combination of brushes I use is the flat shader brush for the lid, and fluffier blending brush for the crease. but no I don't use a new brush each time I change the color I just use the backside of the brush

@MojoMamaBlog a number of different factors will contribute to that! the technique and the bases/primers you use underneath. personally I find the quality of the eyeshadow to be so-so, but I think for it being drug store makeup it isn't too awful!
