This one and Anthrax's London. Great blastin' and drivin' songs. Feed the Gods by White Zombie is the other awesome tune off this soundtrack.

The only performance on this song worth mentioning is the drums, and even he sounds like he snorted an 8 ball before they recorded this. Am I the only sane person thats heard this? Nothing against 4 Non Blondes, I actually like some of their original songs, but this version of "Im The One" is absolutely terrible...especially the guitar which is non existent in the mix, (It sounded like a 5th Grader was making noise in his basement where the solo was supposed to be. Just God Awful and Painful...

the electric guitar is played by jim mankey of concrete blonde. he toured with us in 1994 for a few months. dawn learned how to play a double-kick about a week before we recorded this. no rehearsals; just go in and fucking rock it. i like the instrumental break better than VH's - that drum fill out of it is bad ass.

I hope you don't think this is better than the original version. Its an OK cover, but the guitarist has nothing on eddie, and the singer has no charisma in his voice like Dave. It is an alright attempt, but they should have used the real version on the Airheads soundtrack, it rocked ten times as hard. Sorry 4 non blondes, but lesson learned never try to cover Van Halen. Never try to cover the Beatles, Led zeppelin, Soundgarden, or AC/DC either because in all honesty, those bands are uncoverable.

I too prefer this version. Van halen is awesome, i'm deffo not knocking them. I don't know why this would be a bad cover. I mean it's a cover.. they're not a tribute band ya know? Thats fine, and I understand your point about bands doing covers in their perspective, but to me, it sounds like they tried to make the song their own, like the way Jimi Hendrix made Bob Dylan's All Along the Watchtower his own, or the way VH made You Really Got Me their own, so I would have expected a little better than this version.
