They're a great looking couple. They seem to be very relaxed and content together. Sad thought but I hope that one doesn't loose the other any time :(
Now they are pretty different in the wild they probably fight each other. Like saying a Lion and a cheetah will automatically become friends on sight.
He is only 65 lbs, the cougar he is with is a small female weighing about 90 lbs. You bring up a great point though, many cats in captivity are larger than in the wild. Two main reasons are
1) Better veterinary care, preventative care, more consistent food source (sadly this isn't always the case though). 2) Many cats have been breed for the sole purpose of being skinned/fur sales. Therefore, many lynx and bobcats (the species especially)are very inbreed as these breeders/dealers breed the larger cats so that they can get more fur per animal, increasing their profit. It takes 25 bobcats to make a fur jacket, and 18-20 lynx.

That lynx is huge. They're not suppose to exceed 80 lbs and it looks almost as big as the cougar.
