  • I think I will faint if I see a house like darcys and the music is excellent

  • ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...........pond scene :)

  • OMFG I just died! So fudging sexy! I believe I may swoon! Mr.Darcy I take back what I said earlier you are the most delectable man on the planet -3

Ohhh but I feel so much for Jane and Bingley they are so....it breaks my heart ;'(

  • I think every fangirl just died at about............... 9 minutes on

    I know I did XD

  • Ah, Mr Wickham, your wit is beyond measure. (I seriously love Wickham in this version! I wish he' been like thisin the actual novel!)

  • @koolnomi95 I agree -he is so charming...but if he was like this in the book the readers would split their love for Darsy or for Wickham-and this was not the Austen's idea-she wanted only one perfect hero

  • @tassuett

Thanks for uploading and sharing it :D

  • @tassuett

    Darcy!

I forgot to specify...he is just hot in that pond scene!

  • HE IS HOT!

  • @Galandriel89

    who???

  • I must confess that mr.bennet is my fav character...

  • lol @ him coming out the water!

  • Excuse me while I laugh uncontrollably as Mr. Darcy comes out of the pond...

  • Even with her hair all ridiculous Alex is still so amazingly gorgeous *sigh* if I ever got as close to her as Amanda did in that last scene I'd probably pass out

  • MRS BENNETT IS SUCH A SPAZ!!!! (love Alex-333)

  • I laughed so hard, when she asked him to step in to the pond! loved it!!!!

  • 9:41 that oh so very agreeable...

  • HAHA

  • I don't understand the part where....is that a fly or a gnat that is buzzing around during their conversation at the pond???

  • I just cannot get over the fact that Amanda looks a bit like the young Haley Williams of Paramore with the hair... :)

  • @OhMyGoodnessWatsThat I totally agree! She looks a bit like Hilary Swank/Rachel Berry mixed in ;)

  • Mr Collins has had the unusual good fortune to shoot a peacock!!!! LOVE it!!

  • Mr. Darcy's face expressions - PHWOARRR ;) <3

  • "Please do not point your gun at me, Mr. Collins."

Collins swings the gun to point at Amanda. The man is a safety hazard whatever he does!

  • I love it at 6:00 in the background, Amanda says to Mr. Collins 'Must have been a good shot to hit tigers all the way from Egypt' lol patronising, he deserves it, she rocks!

  • And something I really like about this series (that doesn't show in any kind of P&P adaptation) is the friendship between Darcy and Bingley; how you can clearly see that Darcy is really fond of Bingley and gets disconcerted when his friend is upset or mad (at him).

  • Oh my, I giggle everytime Mr Darcy bows! It's so funny, it's like someone jabbed his butt and that's what makes him bow. So stiff! Hahaha.

  • @bia6677 Hilarious observation -- but nonetheless true!! :D

  • she asked him to get in the water to recreate the Colin Firth Mr. Darcy, who jumped in a pond to cool down, dressed almost exactly like that. It was then commented by many how wonderful Mr. Firth looked in a wet white shirt! Including by Bridget Jones Diary, who was also hung up on the Colin Firth Mr. Darcy.

  • ''I am endeavouring to dismount'' I love drunk Bingley. Also, him sitting on the horse the other way round is hilarious.

  • ''Damn you, and damn everyone who won't put a light in his window and stay up all night damning you!'' I just love the way they used to insult and actually express what they feel instead of telling someone to f off and call them names.

  • British shows are terrible! All of them make me cringe. I love the ideal but it was badly done, the actors are fantastic though.

  • ...yeah I'd have made him walk out of the pond like that too.....twice....then I'd ask Wickham to do it.

  • @SunshineMariah

This would not be a bad idea also.

  • I loved the way they dressed and the men looked so handsome and smart. Darcy is actually really good looking and looks a lot like Heath Ledger.

  • I loved the way they dressed and the men looked so handsome and smart.

  • There is nothing quite so cute as a vulnerable Darcy with a slight speech impediment. :)

  • Georgiana actually looks like she could be related to Darcy here.

  • Wickham is really very attractive here.

  • Frosty knickers! I love Amanda, haha. XD

  • I wasn't expecting to get so wrapped up in a The Notebook-worthy chick flick-gasm. But then the water scene happened....

  • pahahhaha ... how the mother gets of from behind that chair XD

  • Woooh Mama! Love the water scene in P&P with Colin Firth.

But I have to say I love this one too. :)

Good mercy Mr. Darcy! You do have a dramatic

    swooning effect! lol

  • Wickham you pig BIG TIME..... love his reaction... "yes, that's the tone" hahahaha

  • Damn. Darcy is downright beautiful in this adaptation.

  • ok so can someone explain why he's in the water?

  • @bryana188

Amanda had asked him to get into the water, because she wanted to see him all wet, such as the first Mr Darcy had done. However I don´t remember why the original Mr Darcy had got into the water. Anyway, both were very attractive this way.

  • @tassuett its cause he was riding on a hot day and wanted to cool off in the one with colin firth. hope thats helped. :)

  • @tassuett the original Elizabeth only saw Mr.darcy as he was walking up to the house after swimming in his pond. the movie shows him diving into the pond in just a white shirt and trousers after returning to pemberly. This scene confused me for quite awhile until I saw the BBC version of pride and prejudice.

  • @tassuett @bryana188 Mr. Darcy was swimming in the movie and had not expected company.

  • @tassuett He wanted to take a swim after the horse ride and didn't expect anyone to be at his mansion...

  • @tassuett I don't remember Mr. Darcy ever being in water in the book or movies.... He was ones wet because of rain but that's it..

  • @wuzzq In the Colin Firth movie he takes a swim in the lake outside his home and as he is walking back home he happens upon Elizabeth. She only sees him wet but not actually in the lake.

  • @tassuett The original Mr Darcy went for a swim in his lake at Pemberly after arriving home a day early, because it was a hot day and it had been a long ride

  • @bryana188 It's a direct reference to the 1995 BBC version of P&P where Colin Firth jumps into the pond.

  • @bryana188 in the original first pride and prejudice, Eliza was visiting some places with her aunt and uncle, and they also visited Pemberley, which is the residence of Mr.Darcy ofc..and when they were there, looking through the house or castle/mansion rather, they were informed that no one was home tho they are expecting Mr.Darcy with a big company on the other day.

Still Darcy arrived one day sooner on horseback and since the weather was rather nice and warm he took a swim in a pond :D

  • @bryana188 thats why Amanda asked this Mr. Darcy to get into the water xD

  • WICKHAM YOU PIG!

  • "Damn you and damn everyone who won't put a light in his window and stay up all night damning you!"

That is one of the best insults I've ever heard.

  • i really wish i was there, but i'm afraid i won't...

  • Holy mother of sweet baby Jesus that man is too hot for that water O.O"

  • WHY is he in the water? xD

  • 9:40 i was something like O_O HE'S SO HOT!

  • I'm like really REALLY into Wickham in this. he's so hot.

  • he so hot

  • I actually love this cast! They play on so well.

  • Oh, Mrs. Bennet!

  • collins is such a daft git

  • finally they kiss! took em foreverr!

  • the way he smoulders and says, "i cannot" when having to answer the horn/call :)

  • ooooh, i love the way he says "if only the same words over, and again" just picturing the perfect man saying "i love u, i love u, love u"

  • i like the fact that we get to see a more in depth idea of mister darcy than just a 2 hr movie

  • ohlord. that pond! i can't stop flipping laughing!

  • Amanda looks so much like Rahel Barry from Glee

  • @gdzezulskyte

I agree with you.The actor is quite handsome.

  • @tassuett your totally right :D

  • @PtoArchAngel93 in pride of prejudice from 1995 with Colin Firth as Mr Darcy, he did the same thing for Elizabeth. tho she wasnt there to see it. and cuz Amanda read the book she knows of that part. so she wanted him to do that for her. but icould be wrong. didnt read the book. which i will soon.

  • @TokyoDogz The water scene wasn't in the book, I read the book a while back and I don't think there was a part where he went into the water. I think for the 1995 version, they just decided to throw in that scene to make it interesting. :)

  • @ArtsyMario ah oke, well i saw it in the 1995 version so i assumed. but i was wrong ;p

  • @TokyoDogz she mentions the Colin Firth adaptation to her mother at the beginning. so she knows the mini series well, too, that is why she wants Darcy to walk out of the water slowly. that Darcy-in-the-water scene was kind of repeated with Firth in Bridget Jones´Diary, too, because, you know, Firth just has to have such a scene:)and one more thing, In BJdiary, his name was Mark Darcy:)

  • @WhiteMothsOnTheWing aah, i missed out on that when she told her mother that.

so i was kinda right. except for the book part.

and Colin Firth is such an Darcy.. just had to type that.

  • ok,wtf is he saying?

  • Love the pond scene with Darcy in the water!!! Hmmm....

  • @ArtsyMario that part is is hot but why did she want him in the water? was it like a fantasy thing or did i miss something?

  • @PtoArchAngel93 Its because in another movie version of Pride and Prejudice with Coiln Firth, he did a scene where he went swimming in the water and he came out with a wet shirt and pants. In here, Amanda must have saw that movie, and since she is with Darcy, she probably thought " Why not." This is as close to the real thing that she can ever get you know. I haven't seen that actually movie with Colin Firth but I want to. Its kind of old, I think it was made in the 90s.

  • in every adaptation of the story, i always feel so bad for kitty and mary, they never get any of the action...

  • oh sweet moses move away colin :O wow

  • Mrs Bennet is an annoying git. Don't you find Mr Bennet's sarcasm amusing, and why are his daughters calling him Mr Bennet?
