Not really. If you've been to any Asian society, you'll find that there is a strong rejection to western influence. Asians actually get flak in their own country for liking western culture. This is a strong contrast to what you see in the movies or in your case, Asian cartoons. As for blond hair and blue eyes. Who do you think the Japs draw these things for? Asian market, or the more lucrative and time tested American market?
