  • Excelenteeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • Crystal has the voice of an Angel. How could 11 people vote dislike on the song and this exceptional singer? The slower tempo was beautiful, only a person with an exceptional voice could pull it off. In God, Jim.

  • it makes sooo much difference when someone sings this with conviction like Crystal.

  • @StephanieSalmond it is on her "one silent night" lp. it's hard to get a copy of though. i've been looking for a while now.

  • She was very light with this one considering how powerful her voice was in the 90's.

  • @JakRizen2 I agree. It's not bad, but she did not show her range as I would have desired.

  • beautifully sung

  • Crystal does such a beautiful job with this glorious song. She has just the right emotion and shows pure talent in performing it. What a range she has. This is my favorite Christmas song but I do listen to it many other times through the year. Thank you for posting this treasure. - Paula

  • God is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good.

  • Crystal Lewis is a performer who shows conviction and seems to have angelic countenance while doing so, It would seem to me that her faith is very clear in her mind's eye while she is singing. As if she is seeing heaven, just a purity there I see in her. I get a clarity and anointing from her, completely a gift she is giving all of us all for free!

  • She has such a beautiful voice, i really love this version:-)

  • que presioso

  • crystal has one amazing voice. i think most can agree on that. but ive noticed that when she performs (live) she tends to improvise tooooo much. she does it with this song all the time.

  • very true and real version. you would feel it. By it I mean the birth of salvation.

  • She did a terrible job. The Celtic Women know how to perform this song. For being a Christian singer, she should be able to feel and convey the words/message of the song.

  • The Celtic Women? They had no feeling in their rendition at all, and not much support under their wimpy little voices. For God's sake, they need to ROUSE me when you sing "Christ is the Lord" and they didn't seem to realize that the song had progressed at all.

  • Of course, this version out and out - well, there's no reason for it to exist at all.

  • Yolanda admas rendition is by far the best ever sang (for me)

  • omg crystal sang soooo well, i enjoyed it so much! she has such a big powerful voice, yet can get so low in her voice as well. She will always be my top favorite artist. I grew up with her music!

  • I am a great fan of Crystal's, but I too do not think she's been classically trained to perform a song like this one. Although I'm not big on Mariah Carey or Celine Dion, I do feel they do a much better job with this song.

Crystal would sound flawless if she looked into classical vocal lessons (in order to command a song like "O Holy Night"). I love her voice in any other genre. It's very powerful and unique and she's very versatile!

  • this version only sounds so bad because shes really slowing down and not singing along with the music. the one on the cd is amazing.

  • Crystal lewis is one of the most powerful christian singers globally. This is a great version the song.

  • This woman can sang! She's truly blessed and anointed. I wish she would release more CDs and sing live more often.

  • Bravooo!!! the best version Ever... Beautiful simply the best... Crystal has one of the best voice I've ever heard...

  • terrible interpretation (and performance)of a beautiful song. But I guess some people are willing to pay for it so she will continue to sing, unfortunetely for those who love good singing.

  • This artist is tha most important voice in the christian music, if u dont know nothing about music then shut up... Thank u

  • For the best version of this song go to YouTube's video of Bianca Ryan singing it with more heart and soul than anyone else around today !!

  • She should have sung it with a bucket on her head, it would have sounded better

  • WHAT WAS THAT????? I cannot stop thinking about it. That's absolutely HORRIBLE and disgusting version of an absolutely beautiful hymn. How could it have happened? She should have her head cut for what she did with this great song.

  • This is possibly the worst rendition of this song I have ever heard. What an annoying voice this woman has.

  • this is one of the worst versions of this song i have ever heard

  • ettevroc28 & texmatt - you're gonna have beautiful children

  • que comentarios mas tontos...comparar a Crystal con una cantante secular!?!

  • very nice version !!!

  • Yuck!

  • Lump1ag1rl, while "good" is a relative term, so is longevity in the music industry -- Weird Al Yankovich has sold millions of albums and he's been in the "biz" for years and years, but that doesn't mean he's AMAZING. Very clever, funny, and handy with an accordion, but not necessarily "good."

This woman here has no vibrato and is incredibly nasally. Voice lessons might help her out a little bit, but until then I'm not sold on the "AMAZING!!!!1"

  • You hit the nail on the head. Just cause one might like a person and what they stand for doesn't mean that they have a beautiful singing voice. She has a slightly above average singing voice - but AMAZING she's not.

  • I thought this was a joke and was about to get offended when I realized it was nothing more than an earnest but barely passable rendition by a singer WAY over her head. I'm sure this woman is great at whatever her normal comfort zone is, but please leave the serious singing to people with serious voices.

  • No, you did not think it was a joke. Writing that was just your way of insulting her as well as you could manage. How proud you must be to have turned out to be this type of person.

  • And how presumptuous of you to decide what I did and didn't think was a joke. My comment was not out of malice, but out of exasperation at singers who don't have the humility to know their limits and attempt songs which require an operatic quality which this woman does not possess. My intention was not to insult, but yours apparently was. Well done!

  • Face it, you were caught being your true self, and you don't like being called out for it. It doesn't take presumptuousness in this case. It's as obvious as can be than no intelligent person could watch this video and think that is was a joke. Having an opinion that someone is over her head is one thing. But accusing someone of making a mockery of a song when it's OBVIOUS the singer is doing her best is something decent people simply do not do.

  • And yes, it WAS my intention to let you have it for what you wrote. Unlike you, I don't write something and then deny my true intent.

  • Did you consider the possibility that you misunderstood the meaning of "joke" i.e. someone put this performance out on the web for others to be amused by because it's so bad? That's why I was initially offended and then realized it wasn't meant to be laughed at. No, you assumed you knew what was going on in my head because you didn't like my opinion and wanted to strike back.

  • This, folks, is what is known as damage control. Yes, Sir, I absolutely did consider that possibility. However, the rest of that sentence shows what was in your head. So transparent. It was mean, and that's all there is to it. "when I realized it was nothing more than an earnest but barely passable rendition by a singer WAY over her head"

  • Correcting your mischaracterizations of what is going on in my head is not damage control. As I suspected, what you really objected to is my OPINION which acknowledged that this woman was doing her best but I believe is beyond her limits. Nothing mean about it. Speaking of mean, which of us has implied the other is stupid, mean-spirited and a liar? I've made no personal attacks on you just for having a different opinion. I'm done and won't respond further, so I hope you have a happy 2007.

  • No, you reserved your personal attacks for someone just trying to sing a Christmas song. You left me alone. You wonderful human being, you.

  • People's taste in music is different, so saying that she isn't "good" is a relative term. She is a wonderful contemporary Christian artist who has released 20 English albums and 7 Spanish albums. She has been a signed recording artist since 1986. I think that her longevity in the music industry otherwise proves that she's beyond "good". But then again, this is just my opinion.

  • Sarah Brightman 's version is the best, not jokes !!!!

  • -i hate the way they sang it. its ugly.

  • who let this woman sing this song!?!

  • I am in love with Jesus!

How can people compare a christian singer with Celine? Celine does not worship God the way Crystal has all her life. She's the real thing!!!

  • Muchas Gracias! I Agree! Quien comparar Crystal Lewis ( de musica CHRISTIANA, ce canta para Jesus) con Celline Deon ce canta secular musica para la mundo! It dosen't make sense! Why are people ccomparing a singer who has a deep love for Jesus and who is singing for him to a secular artist who sings for worldly fame. Thank you, initochanchan for posting this message. I agree with you all the way!

  • omg!! people!!! THAT WAS TERRIBLE!!! WHY DONT EVERYONE SHUT UP AND LET CELINE DEON SING IT!!! SHE IS THE ONLY ONE THAT MADE MY HAIR STAND UP WHEN U HEAR HER SING IT!!!

  • HOW DARE YOU! Crystal Lewis does this song in a beautiful arrangement! Celline Deon is not the only one who could sing this song beautiful!

  • I happen to agree, that is the worst thing I have ever heard. So nasal.

  • sooo arrogant. Celine does not love Jesus the way crystal does and that alone entitles crystal to sing it more than Celine.

  • Celine Dion is probably the most overrated singer in the world next to Britney Spears. I think it should be illegal for Celine to sing this song.

  • increible! de donde sacas estos videos? wow!!!

  • wow!

  • beautiful and meaningful!! she sounded like she really loooooooooooooved the moment Christ was born. So do I

  • wow so beautiful

    i love it

  • beautiful!

  • Johnathan! Way to go!! Thanks!
