If you want to prevent further hair loss, talk to any doctor about propecia/proscar/finasteride. It's a weak anti-androgen, won't really feminize you, but it's rather effective to prevent hair loss. As for hair transplants, they're expensive, they work, but won't prevent further hair loss.
Scalp advancement just means your scalp skin gets stretched over all its length. Makes you slightly less bald in the front as well, but I would still need *some* hair transplants to have a "perfect" hairline.
