That was there problem they were to focused on the design and the games, and OF course the games are important but the design is less important, actually idgaf what it looks like as long as it is a reliable console, like the Original Xbox. I love Xbox but they really failed with this one especially with all the time they spent on design but hopefully they learned this lesson.

@KentuckyKid220 Really? Dreamcast came out in 1999 in NA and had a Built in Modem for online and it had a web browser also it had it's own version of marketplace. Oringinal Xbox had place for memory cards and MS did make them. DVD player in Xbox you needed the Remote to watch films. PS2 had a DVD player when it launched in 2000. Xbox came out in 2001. Most Xbox game can run at 480P, some dc games can run at 480P.

Games like NFL 2k1 and Quake 3 games of that caliber got more gamers to play online than any game before on home consoles. gimmick or beta might be harsh. DC delivered online like never before better, faster, and competitiveness like we see now. DC showed us the way. Small steps were taken but DC took the big leap.

While the Xbox 360 may have had some issues, such as the RRoD, the PS3 has had some issues as well. The cost of the system at launch was very off-putting, and the fact that Blu-Ray is still new, many game companies still have a hard time programming their games for the PS3, which is why many games are developed on the 360 kit, and ported to the PS3, rather than vice-versa.

Bro, the rings of death isn't an issue with the newer consoles. It's blown out of proportion these days. As for Xbox live, it's the best online service. I spend more on a single haircut then a year of XBL. About $28 for a 12 month card on Amazon. There are 25 million XBL users. It's the best way to go if your an online gamer.

In regards of the cost of online play.. u do get what u pay for tho, Xbox live is amazing & works smoothly. No game installation needed & downloads are way faster I dont have to book the week off work for a game update on the 360 like i do on ps3 lol. But the RROD is an issue nobody can deny altho I think the newer 360's such as the Elites are better built now. Its not perfect dont get me wrong but I still prefer it to the PS3. Im not a fanboy either as I've loved sony since PS1 lol
