If you guys are keeping insects, may I suggest some Rhinoceros Beetles? They have native ones in your country(Grants, Eastern etc)... they get pretty nice sized, and they look cool! They are pretty easy to care for too. : )

I have a couple of things for you guys. 1 is that I'm applying at pet stores and they have snakes of course. I'm afraid of them and to touch them but I want a pink/lavender hog nose I LOVE THAT NOSE it's so cute. Any tips on how to approach a snake? I know you can't show fear or that your scared of them they can sense it and purposely try to scare you. 2 is how do you avoid getting bit? I want to wear gloves but I don't want to scare them. Brian, I couldn't help but notice you said you feed the beardies lettuce, do you feed them anything else besides the crickets and lettuce because keeping them on just lettuce can be harmful because its basically just water and calcium not a whole lot of nutritional value. Not trying to make it sound like you don't know what your'e doing just concerned.

@TheKingsnake22 Correction: only iceberg lettuce is bad. It isn't actually harmful, but doesn't really contain much nutritional value, since it's composed almost entirely of water. However, it is good for feeding to a dehydrated lizard that isn't willing to drink, or need strictly arid conditions. Other lettuces, such as romaine, are an excellent and nutritional source of food. Leafy greens are always best, such as kale, mustard greens, and dandelions. A balanced diet is the key to health!

Blue Tongue Skinks are were it's at. I just got a baby Blue Tongue and he is amazing. They are easy pets but hard to breed so it is defiantly some thing to thing about.

You should get a crocodile monitor, kinda a cross between that Nile you have and the American alligator, in size not colour, so they can get about 10ft! But still a really cool lizard if you have the space
