Nice video Jason. I know it's been a while since you made it. But I'm sure you still feel the same. Your playing here was some of the best acoustic playing I think I've heard you play. Full of feeling, which in my opinion is the most important ingredient.
Hi Jason, my friend once use that as a gag to encourage people to give all their notes for charity just after I play Bach! Bach certainly did! Like that!
Jason, all the best musicians who are now gone are playing their very best music together - and Bob's enjoying all of them. Know that we all love you and that Pat's great talent is with you. I love you, Dianne
Hi J , yes my friend. I have been in your shoes before! :-(. Man you aint never alone when ya got a Harp in ya hand and the Lord to set ya free. Rock the Dam :-).
A little peek into the soul of Jason Ricci. Every note of that slow blues says something. Mr Ramsey is watching now Jason, to see if you pass on what he taught you. You may feel lonely now but, surely, you know there are literaly thousands of your freinds thinking about you. I am positive you will come out the other side of this a much stronger person. Much, much more prepared to give it all away,so to speak.
First of all, the blues were masterful, heartwrenching. Thanks for sharing that with us.
Second of all, I'm so sorry you were feeling down. Lost a loved one, traveling alone in an unknown city, night time after a long day of walking, jet lag AND no smoking?? No wonder you were feeling down. Let me just tell you this...I do think these bitter sad moments in life are what give us perspective to appreciate life's sweet happy ones.
Good luck in Breda...and here's me sending you a big hug!:)
Oh I hadn't seen the whole vid yet. I'm sorry for Pat, I liked what you said about wanting to call him though. Damn, had I seen this movie earlier, I now know where you stay, you could've gone out in the Dam with me! Well, some other time then...
Hey J, I would've come to Paradiso and see you perform with Walter Strout, however I chose to go to Alvin Lee. Since he's old, I've got better hopes of catching a glimpse of you somewhere in the future. Feels kinda weird do, having my hero in town and I don't get to see him...
Well that's the thing, Alvin Lee (the lead singer of Ten Years After) is also performing tomorrow night, and I won't be in Amsterdam for the rest of the weekend. However, I'd be an insult to all your youtube subscribers if I didn't take this opportunity, so I'll be at your hotel tomorrow afternoon, even if it's just to shake hands. Good luck in Breda tonight, loved your train vid!
Oh, sweet Jesus, Jason, I had no idea Pat Ramsy had passed away, and I feel for your loss. I've been listening to him off and on since discovering him when he played with Johnny Winter, and to me he was one of the swiftest, sweetest, most stylish harp players I've ever heard. Your tribute was beautiful and came from your heart. You're a good man,JR, and your genorosity with your time and talent is greatly appreciated. Hang in there, my friend.
My deepest condolences and gratitude for the heartfelt words, both here and in your tribute to Mr Pat. That hole in your heart is a deep well... it ain't easy to draw from the well, I know it. But you are loved Jason, and never alone for that.
Thanks for sharing your heartfelt blues! Wow! Such emotive playing almost always comes from heartache.
Sharing this will help to grow & learn as we go through the great cycle of life. Yes indeed - We must remember to cherish & celebrate life!!! Very well put!
THIS MAKES ME CRY...

You know that's my favorite song, Jason.
Don't wonder, just know it, Jason, yes, I do think of you.
I hope my dear father, Hipoletus, heard your harp while you played in his home country this month, November 2009.
He taught me my first harp lessons.
Tell me about the brown cafes.

Hi Jason,
Very nice blues with just the melodies! It meant a lot more than too many notes. We lose people we love, it is hard but good memories styed!
