  • I liked the Ron Bogda era at the stadium. He played it the best on the 6 manual Barton of Oshkosh.

  • frank pellico is the best.

  • The Blackhawks has the best Organ

  • @berwyn1232 HAD the best organ

  • This is NOT Frank Pellico's song. It is "My Vision" written and played by Al Melgard, two organists before Frank came along. Frank's version doesn't have the heart that Melgard's did, Melgard was the best of the best. But Pellico is a good organist. Nancy Faust could not handle a pipe organ, pure and simple. Nothing can top Al Melgard; wish someone had his songs on here. I had all of his records.

  • I have Al Melgards albums, still play them once in a while

  • @TouchMeKnott Frank is fit to play at a supper club or roller rink, not hockey games. Nancy couldn't handle a pipe organ? What complete foolishness. Her first year, 1985-86, she took some time to get used to it, but the other three years, she was doing brilliantly with it. Did you watch any of the Hawks' games 1986-87 - 1988-89? Did you ever hear Frank TRYING to play some of the songs that Nancy played flawlessly and fluidly? It wasn't pretty.

  • @skifusya My point was that this song, My Vision, is not Frank's song, and he cannot play it with the heart that Al Melgard did. Nancy was a pop music kind of organist in my opinion, and I'm an organist. I never heard her play anything with great depth on the Barton pipe organ. Melgard was the best; with My Vision, Danny Boy, Dream Train, Cinco Robles. I preferred that kind of music. No, I wasn't there in '88; were you there in '67 when Melgard played My Vision. It is incomparable..

  • Frank was instrumental in the decision NOT to bring the Barton Over. He is a good player, but lost his touch on the games, because he can't play on every drop. Now it's a production.

Nancy was awesome at thinking of songs that fit the situation.

  • Frank is good, but Nancy is probably the best sports organist in the history of sports. There's a reason she's spent 40 seasons on the South Side.

  • I can't listen to this song without hearing Pat Foley saying "Hoping you enjoyed the broadcast, in spite of the outcome..."

Oh, and for the guy who bashed Pellico, did you like it better when in '05-'07 when the Hawks played almost nothing but canned music? Nothing says old time hockey like Pink's "Get The Party Started".

  • @packerhawk24 Even Frank's lousy organ playing is better than canned music. But that strict comparison alone doesn't make him a great organist.

  • go hawks. frank pellico is AWESOME he is just the best organist i the world.

  • BRING BACK FRANK!

  • Frank Pellico could put a toddler on sugar to sleep. The Hawks never should have gotten rid of Nancy Faust.

  • Mess with Frank and you're messing with me!! LOL

  • LOL....don't get me wrong, I'm sure Frank's a nice enough guy. The slow, somnolent stuff he plays really well, and hearing an organ at a game is always preferable to piped-in noise. But anything played by ear I've heard from him at a Hawks game (and this is going back to when he took over in the fall of '89), like pop or rock or simple crowd rouser tunes are just done painfully, clumsily BAD, sorry. And I stand by my comment that it's a shame that the Hawks dumped Nancy for Frank.

  • YES!

  • Hi! Im Sergio Pellico from spain, maybe this Frank its a lose parent....

  • Does Frank Pellico still play the music during the singing of the national anthem(s) before every Blackhawk hockey game? The United Center sorely misses Wayne Messmer, although he's still active elsewhere...his official website is http://www.waynemessmer.com, so click and enjoy!

  • Wayne sings at Chicago Wolves games now, best national anthem performer ever.
