  • Huckabee is SUCH a phony douche-bag. Listen to his scripted responses. No meat, just sound bites we've heard time and again. And to think a sizeable portion of voting Americans are STUPID enough to cast a vote for this jerk, much less Giuliani, McCain, Romney, or Thompson. Boobus Americanus gets what they deserve!

  • as i watch this, ron paul has raised $10,262,797.77!

    this man is legendary

  • What happens if Ron Paul wins the presidency. Will the media just constantly put a bad spin on everything he does or says, or will they finally come out of the gutter and wake up a bit? The latter seems more unlikely than Duncan Hunter getting the Republican nomination, but I found it to be an interesting thought.

  • When Americans take back their country, all these media false tellers should be held responsible along with the neocons.

  • RON PAUL 2000 AND FUCKING 8 !!

  • Hey... This is a great sign. If FOX NEWS is willing to spend time trying to smear Paul, it shows that he is having a real impact on their agenda. Good benchmark. If Paul didn't represent a threat, they wouldn't waste time on a story like this.

  • what fox failed to mention is that they were refusing to let many RP supporters in at the straw polls, despite the fact that they had paid to do so. they gave them some phony excuse why they were not allowed in. you can find it here on youtube. bush was a two term president...voting is fixed.

  • And, judging by your statement, I will presume you are a wise man? I would love to hear why he is so stupid.

  • Surprisingly fair report from Fox--the title was just to get people's attention?

  • Rudy and the other candidates are bought and paid for. WHY DO YOU THINK THEY ALL HAVE SO MUCH MORE MONEY THAN RON PAUL?? Because they are all backed by corporate American. If elected, they will take their marching orders from those who bought them and put them in office, just like Bush/Chaney.

  • Fox news=neo-con owned propagandist media.

  • you guys gotta see this

a soldier, an artist, and a Ron Paul supporter!

    flickr dot com/photos/aheram

  • He's the only one towing the company line, that's how stupid they are. National polls are rigged and no longer scientific. They just love corrupt evil Rudy.

  • At least they are starting to talk about him!

    Thats a huge improvement.

The footage if anything makes him stand out and shows he has energy and commitment to fight for us, rather than just "keep towing the line" as britt said.

  • I sure hope we have a chance to elect Paul as our President ! its our only chance !

  • you fucking americans need to get off your fat asses & destroy Fox news, what the fuck is wrong with you people

  • The cut of Ron Paul's retort EVERYTIME! How many soldiers have to die to save face?

  • FOX NEWS -- Home of the Barbarians!!

  • This wasn't a smear at all. It portrayed Paul as a Constitutionalist and used his own words to outline his positions.

  • Are you blind creepyhater?? The report goes out of its way to highlight that Ron Paul received 1% of the vote as a Libertarian candidate in a previous race (nothing to do with this race) and creatively edits debate footage to show Paul's opponents scoring talking points on him, but then cuts off Ron Paul's responses to these attacks. And the piece just gives meager acknowledgment to the true power of Paul's internet following.

  • I didn't see Brit Hume smear Ron Paul on this vid. I love Ron Paul and hate Fox "News," but I didn't see it happen here. Sorry.

  • There was no direct smear, but there was implicit ones...the clips they showed for example at the debates...they did not play his rebuttals and they only played the cheers for others disagreeing with him...It's all about framing your subject...

  • For those who like Ron Paul, and dislike Fox spin, please check out this youtube video under the search: Open Message to Ron Paul Supporters aka Paulites

  • Let's face it, we have got to elect Ron Paul as President.

  • Yeah, I thought for FOX's standards- not too bad.

  • Ron Paul needs your help in a new MSN poll. Eliminate the spaces from the url and vote.

    h t t p:// election. msn. com /?G T1 =103 57

  • On 9/11/2001, I watched in total disbelief as three steel buildings collapsed at free-fall speed on their own footprint. Building 7 was not hit by a plane, and it's fires were under control. Jet fuel does not melt steel. Someone please tell me more about the debris from the "commercial airliner" that hit the pentagon.Google Terrorstorm, Loose Change, and Zeitgeist. There is now probable cause for a full criminal investigation of all 9/11 events.

  • coughsleazeballcough

  • Ron Paul... 100% Unscripted.

    Beat THAT.

  • fox is just awful. I wish americans would wake up

  • A story like this only benefits RP through recognition. I don't loathe Fox News for stories like these, which only present a slightly biased perspective. However, other Fox pieces are simply insane.

  • lol 3rd....in TEXAS.... he said that like its a bad thing?... 3rd...RP spent ...umm maybe 100K...MIt...1mill minimum...Rudy ...500K atleast....500K for Huckabee..same for Mcain..lol Murdoch is scared ..really scared.

  • They should have played his response to Rudy.

  • How is this a smear?

  • Hey! I was AT the Texas Straw Poll. Fort Worth is my hometown, and I'm a co-organizer of the F.W. Meetup Group. The RPT ONLY let delegates vote in the Straw Poll (Mock Election) and wouldn't even let all of them in to vote. If the PEOPLE had been allowed to vote, he would have won by a landslide. Ron Paul Supporters OWNED Tarrant County Convention Center for two days. Don't doubt it.

  • Ron Paul finished third in Texas because the party hacks in that state refused to let delegates who support RP into the convention hall to cast their votes. You'll never hear that on FAUX NEWS! RON PAUL FOR PRESIDENT!

  • Ron Paul 110%.

  • They are trying to position themselves if Ron Paul completely blows up in the polls. Typical games

  • The piece could have been worse. Fox News needs to do more like it. At least Dr. Paul got some air time. Nixonesque Huckabee with his 'honor' was probably not the best soundbite for Dr. Paul, but those who know any history whatsoever should know Dr. Paul won the exchange. Dr. Paul isn't a sound-bite politician, he's more into substance. I think we're possibly witnessing a paradigm shift to substance over form, anyway.

  • Fox news, champion of liars and crooks... (and I'm a republican)

  • "...he won the straw poll in Maryland, but here in Texas, he placed 3rd...[after a giant fear mongering brainwash by speakers to previous delegates]"

Keep spinning your yarn media...and when your shareholders ask why the ratings continue to hailstorm down, just tell them about the lack of objective journalism.

Thanks for posting this to youtube!

  • What's with cutting off his responses... total joke... sick of the smearing... why dont u show 2 mil of 1000's of pple with ron paul signs screaming ron paul? No sir that would low ur cover.

  • lets keep in mind that fox has been destroyed on the internet and even the most diehard fans are losing interest. this was a very very minor piece and no one really even watches brit hume. he's incredibly boring. this was only because fox has been outed as attacking ron paul so they're trying to say, "see we don't always destroy him". it's a nugatory effort by fox.

  • they will have to hear our cries for freedom

they can only cover their ears so much

but the sounds of freedom shall pierce their resistance

    GO RON PAUL

  • Ron Paul WILL BE OUR NEXT PRESIDENT !!

  • Yeah, actually not bad exposure for Ron considering the source, Fox News.....they seemed reasonable, maybe something is afoot (like they realize, He is becoming "for real").

  • What are you guys oblivious? Of course they smeared him just look at the debate clips, they cut them off after the other idiot candidates gave their retarded responses and got their applause from their brain dead followers.

  • That did seem pretty fair for Fox, which is saying a lot.

  • If they were trying to smear him, they did a poor job. I thought it was neutral for Fox.

  • Sounded fair to me.

  • Liars! He's 72 not 71.

  • I thought that was actually very good in general

  • Listen up Folks. That is about as good as it gets from Fox and let me say, it was GREAT EXPOSURE for Ron Paul.

  • I find it funny that Fox is doing a piece about Ron Paul, but in BOTH clips from him in the debates, they cut off the clip after his opponent's applause line, ignoring the fact that Paul slam dunked both encounters when he replied to those statements.

  • This was good..to be from Fox.. this is good.

  • Go Ron Paul. I registered Republican and I'm for for Ron Paul! I also gave $200 dollars to his campaign so far:)

  • This was not a smear... this actually WAS fair and balanced. Please don't let paranoia influence your thinking. All this shows is that FOX is opening up to all the support Paul is getting and that they're willing to accept him even though they were reluctant at first. The tide is shifting.

  • Still slanted. They cut off Ron Paul's favorable responses in the debate in favor of hacks.

    ronpaulforpresidnet2008. com

  • Overall I thought it was good, much better than I would expect from Fox.

    Ron Paul 2008!

  • This was an incredibly stupid move on Fox's part.

They just planted the Liberty seed in many minds.

They should have made it much more slanted to protect their favorite Giuliani.

My favorite part about Giuliani saying he's never heard that reason for 9/11 before is that it's a de facto admission that he's never read any intelligence material on 9/11.

  • This is propaganda because it gives us a very limited view of Ron Paul but it is no hit piece. For Fox's standards, it's actually quite "fair." And as an aside, O'Reilly wasn't as bad as he usually is when he interviewed Ron Paul yesterday.

  • Ron Paul wasn't smeared in this clip. Call a spade a spade. Just because it comes from Pravda doesn't mean it's a smear.

The last thing we need is a streak of paranoia to ruin the good vibes of this campaign.

  • I wouldn't call this a smear piece.. definately should have left Paul's debate responses in but other than that it was more favorable that I expected considering the source.

  • I, LOVE, how they don't let him respond after the attacks.

  • How exactly did Brit Hume try to smear Ron Paul?

Do reporters have to start drooling all over themselves when they hear Paul's name mentioned in order not to be accused of being anti-Ron Paul?

Do writers have to pretty much endorse Ron Paul and all his views in order not to be accused of working for the neocon machine?

  • well it fox news that smeared Ron Paul not Brit Hume.

  • Smeared him how?

  • What a hit piece. They conveniently edited it so that Paul's rebuttals were left unheard in both of the debate clips. Why let the other guy have the last word when you're covering one particular candidate? They say he has 1500 volunteers but for some reason ignore the meetup link on his campaign site with over 40,000 volunteers.

  • Edited for smearing purposes, but it didn't work. Ron Paul rebuffed Giuliani for knowing nothing about foreign policy and the blowback surrounding our foreign policy mistakes. Ron Paul has won a hell of a lot more than just in Maryland. He also has the highest military and veteran donations (that includes me, proudly) of ALL candidates. The Texas straw poll was for 1992-current delegates ONLY, not open to the public. He took away 17% of the vote of NEOCON ACTIVISTS. He's dominating.

  • They failed to mention the fact that they refused to let a bus load of supporters inti the TX straw poll and it was closed to republican delegates ONLY.

  • "Unscientific..."

NO POLLS ARE SCIENTIFIC. You would have to poll every single person.

  • Alot of people are going to look awful stupid when Ron Paul does better than they try to convince us everyday that he'll do.

  • Huckabee believes that the honorable thing for the Republicans to do is to lose to Hillary.

  • Yeah, good point. I noticed that too!

  • More importantly, Huckabee believes that the honorable thing to do is to continue to let our boys die for a war he admits was a mistake.

  • Wow, this went up fast. This was on TV literally about 10 minutes ago. Not bad for a fox news story.
