  • yeh he dosnt walk down to the local sports shop and by a fiberglass bow

  • thats a modern laminated bow, robin hoods bow was made from a single piece of yew or oak.

  • @5tonyvvvv

LOL there is no evidence whatsoever that "Robin Hood" ever actually existed. The story is mere legend and folklore.

"Robin Hood" is a generic archetypal name used in the middle ages to refer to any unspecified itinerant criminal or fugitive.

  • hey dork boy,u think anyone will remember u in 1,000 years?..if he did exist or not.u cant prove or disprove it..there where people like him that did exist foresure.wheather it was him or not,may never be proven

  • dirty hands clean mind ,thats what my mum told me .pity it didnt apply to the bankers. still fred lives in my heart atrue grafter and inteligent man rip fred

  • @TheLatchford

Dirty pants, clean botty (Rik - The Young Ones)

  • i was talking about bow making iam a bowyer..do u know anything about yew longbows? probably not so stop talking

  • oh fuck off you twat.

  • right, get mad, cause u dont know what the fuck your talkin about..go suck a dick

  • *yawn*

  • One can only imagine the wealth of knowledge and experience these two have/had between them.

  • As much as I love Dibnah, attributed to the fact that I own EVERY DVD he's been in, his experience far outweighed his knowledge! Just imagine how boring this clip would have been had he known simple trigonometry! Just goes to show that knowledge is not always a pursuit of hapiness!

  • You can watch this again and again,it will always make you laugh, wellit does me.!

  • a one off and great ma, shame i never met him. i bet he would have been great talking to, and a great personality.

  • One of my heroes.

  • "a quarter" still imperial fasteners, not M6, lol.

  • The problem with the first shot is that you made the rope go throught the sting and the bow. When you moved the bow, you interfered on the rope and it got stucked on the string.

Once you put the rope over it and got the bow out of the way after you shot it went "smoothly".

Are you an archer? what are we trying to prove with this? I'm an archer, those arrows can go very far away. theres a lot os speed on them. My arrow travel at least 280fps.45 Deg angle you can make them go very far away

  • Ye- but the point of the plan was to use the arrow to get the string over a large tree branch to measure the height of the hill, not make the arrow travel a long way

  • i like the way alf is laffing at how mad the plan is thinking to himself this wont work

  • Fred was truly a one-off, a true British icon and a true northerner!

We feel his loss all the more these days - we will never see his like again!

  • if only i had had a teacher at school like fred , don,t you think he would have been amazing to learn from, so much knowledge and experience great to watch

  • FRED WAS THE BEST.seen in paper his house has been broken into 3 times since he died.STRING THE BASTARDS UP BY THE BOLLOCKS,fred would of...R.I.P FRED.

  • I always felt that Alf was the perfect foil for Fred's antics. The part where Fred misfired the arrow on his first attempt was absolutely hilarious.

  • That was clever how he thought of that idea to get his measurement , would not have thought of that and it worked , RIP Fred .

  • crazy old bugger, hes the guy that used to blow up big chimneys, classic stuff. :)
