  • Nice work man!

  • This is total Bullsh*t! Wow... why does this have almost 1.5 Million views?! truly terrible considering the true music and artists of the era are disgraced by this crap.

  • @nicojordan Its not that bad, dont need to be mean.

  • @nicojordan

Then make a better cover! This guy is playing it really good with loads of feel in it! No need to be an asshole you know.

  • Not bad for some billion year old carbon...

Actually that was really nice. I'd like to know what chords you're using

  • Absolutely love the vocals, and I enjoyed the way you switch from melody to harmony during "Got to get ourselves back to the garden." And what a lovely and unique ending. Nicely done! You have an uncanny ability for hitting the right vocal inflections. Thanks for posting.

  • cute

  • Wow! I'm a big fan of CSN&Y and I wasn't expecting this! You, my friend, did an excellent job of this great classic song! Bravo!!!

  • que porqueria !!

  • Sorry, I am almost 62 years old. Where in the fuck can I get some more of these drugs?? They made me a very empathetic, caring, optimistic person. I want to pass it on. Damn, it would be so much easier with the right drugs.

  • YOKO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I have been playing gutar for 30 years. I have seen many of the people that played woodstock many times. shit I was at woodstock. This guy plays this song perfect.

And whoever made the tacky and crass Yoko Ono remark?

    HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHAH

  • Great job! I love to see the younger generation playing worth while music. Anybody who has given this man a thumbs down surely is ignorant!

  • Dont quit your day job.

  • Best cover Yoko's ever done!

  • @Revolution1117 haha

  • @Revolution1117 man, that was funny

  • Great song ruined

  • dude...wow...awesome...i went and picked up my guitar...plays video again !

  • a very ambitious undertaking... covering this song without harmonies. I liked it, myself. like most acoustic songs, it seems, it gets better as you get a little further into it. i admit to being partial to single guitar, single voice, single track covers, because they are arranged so you can play them in the den, or in the park... or wherever. thanks for posting it.

  • this is not joni mitchell this is an asian man

  • For one person singing this song and playing the guitar this is excellent. Everyone got that friggin studio verision which was done muli times with vocal backup. And fuck the Hippies. I got back from Nam in 67. I could have gone to Woodstock I don't live that far from where it was, but I chose not too. Friggen Hippies lazy bastards ,did everything for themselves only . Some were children of Doctors. Didn't do shit, got bucks from their family. I enjoyed this Asain singing this song.

  • Really bad....sorry

  • this is such a boring, bland, cover with almost no emotion. this sucks

  • Hey WAKE THE FUCK UP!!! HIPPIES ARE NOW BANKERS!!! THEY DID NOTHING BUT FUCK AND GET HIGH!!!!! yes yes dear empty lost people i was there and i saw them walk about my house naked and dirty and looped as a kid. I have a question for you wanna be -or lingering fucks. While you sat at woodstock-a few miles north of me-did you think of the kids that were drafted to Vietnam as you enjoyed a show-- they watched a show called life or death.18 yr old kids MAULED! 58,479 KIA! others never whole again.

  • @joeknee4767 Hihi

  • @joeknee4767 And what were u doing while those men were dying? And what are u doing now while more men are dying in this war?-U are bitching about hippies, at least they stood for something. And at least the men who are fighting and have fought in wars stood for something to. Do You stand for anything?

  • I will never listen to this song again in any version... you've ruined it for me.

  • Very nicely done!! I agree w/GreatMooglyGoogly...you did an awesome job of making the lyrics wonderfully understandable! Loved the scenes behind you....I wonder if you are a reincarnation from the 60's era?! Peace, Love & Happiness....much success to ya Joni ! thanks for sharing your work w/us

  • Well, it's excellent. All of it, no matter where we were when. Be, nice-though, to seek the spark we had...

  • Dig it!

  • jggrow:

Thank you for serving your country in our time of need. The closest I came was a little under a decade in the volunteer fire service. You are right. Service comes before attending concerts. I wish more people realized this fact. Again, THANK YOU!

  • GreatMooglyGoogly:

The supernova spilled these heavier elements out into the space around the supernova and created a shock wave which compressed the nebula which our solar system was formed from. So, we really are "stardust billions of years old carbon etc."

  • GreatMooglyGoogly:

The "billion year old carbon" line refers to the origins of elements heavier than hydrogen and helium which were created in the supernova that triggered the formation of our solar system. An ancient massive star exploded in a supernova. this created elements such as carbon right on up to gold and uranium. "We are stardust, we are golden," "we are billion year old carbon" refers to this supernova.

  • Appalling rubbish. A travesty of a beautiful song. Please hang up your guitar.

  • Yes thank you for the billion year old carbon, what intelligence in the lyrics. I'm 47 and it's only through BBC documentraries that I have got my head around that stuff. Anyway I feel so sad because I feel the moment has gone,, a groundswell of young people, new ideas and vitailty. Our lives should be more than what we have..Anyway CSNY, CSY the Grateful Dead, Led Zep, The Doors, Joni, Nick Drake and all music thats connects.

  • i don't feel too bad for missing Wodstock....I was in the Marine Corps at the time. The music is with us, no matter what, forever.

  • @jggrow my mom told me I couldn't go 2 Woodstock...she said 7yrs old weren't aloud~Did I ever throw a fit at that prejudices against age! :-P :-D~I agree we carry this era's music w/us & its great 2 see these younger generations fallin in love w/it too & wanting to hear more from their generation to come up w/quality songs as we had~It was a great time to be alive...young...& so free~As I am Proud 2 be part of the mindset that brought our troops home & shut down the viet war~Glad U R STILL W/US

  • very nice. thanks for posting.

  • Nice voice and I love the sound of your guitar too. Great.

  • The best cover of this song... :)

  • The best cover of this... :)

  • where can i download it? This cover is great

  • Why does Jonie Mitchell look like a Japanese Woman and sound like a Japanese man?

  • @GrandmasDay32 LMFAO

  • @GrandmasDay32 Globalisation. :)

  • @GrandmasDay32

    Good one ..

  • @GrandmasDay32 this guy rocks. the billion year old carbon line is SWEET.

  • @GrandmasDay32 - dats not Joni(e), dats Bing Crosby.

  • @GrandmasDay32 Heh, that rendition was far too fast to be Joni and far too much 'word play' to be Crosby Stills or Nash!

  • I LOVE this version. It's my favorite!

  • Wonderfully done...my sprirt was moved. Thank You.

  • nice dude.

  • Very good ..Stumbled upon this by accident.. good job...

  • this is all very great, thank your for sharing!!! Each time this is watched it opens up another great moment =]

  • Simple but good. I like your voice and arrangement.

    And your original songs, too!

  • I don't know why I was so surprised to like this performance, but I really did. I'd like to hear you harmonizing with one or two other people.

  • Nice job! I really enjoyed this xxx

  • still no the killer version of this song from Tuck and Patti around

  • I'd love to know your thoughts on my version of this song. Please share if you like it!

  • very nice

  • Great performance! Very good, indeed.

  • People who say bad comments, I'd like to see them do it any better.

  • tres tres mauvais

  • Great idea with the background. Nice version of the song, best of luck to this performer.

  • Amazing cover! Great performance.

  • Yes, such beautiful ideals. Too bad it all got lost in a haze of smoke and a cascade of pills. A very nice performance and a well produced video. Thanks for sharing. Peace.

  • This is one of the best and most heartfelt versions of this song that I ever heard!

  • cool

  • Beautiful versio ......

  • NICE VOCAL AND GUITAR WORK!

  • This is not a cover of a Crosby Stills and Nash tune. Joni Mitchell wrote this song FOR THEM. Get your information straight.

  • @bluehiway04 easy bud, don't shoot.

  • Thanks for sharing. The music of my youth will never die.

  • so much judgement over meaningless shit.. I think you rock man! I've been trying to hit that one and you got it down really nice! love your shirt too!

  • check out Richard Thompsons version, played in front of Joni, it will blow you away

  • wow man thats amazing! you did a great job on that song. excellent acoustic version and the original backdrop scenes just drives it home that much more.

  • Dude if you wanna cover stuff, at least play it in the right beat. It's not a march, but a 4/4 bar song. Don't rape songs!

Oh yea the reply is gonna be 'it's a personal interpretation' ... bollocks ! You have a good voice, that's not the problem.

  • @Hemail He played it the way he liked to play. If he wanted to be told how to play the song "properly" he'd join the fuckin pointless army, and take orders.

  • Great version - listened to it three times. Your version sounds great on the classical, deep and resonating. The vocals are solid, nice inflections and the chorus is sung so well and just damn catchy.

  • YOU ARE AWESOME!!!! Thanks for loving the music of our generation!

  • im not into the timing . but good job.

  • This is the first time I've heard this song- the performance isn't typical. It is a warm and passionate simpatico of lyrics and rhythm. I'm going to check out more of your stuff.

  • You picked an awesome tune. Good strummin - keep singing, playin and postin! the noise from the peanut gallery is easily ignored..

  • Far Out Dude!!! 1969....I was....one. One years old. I can't remember it...so I must of been there!!!

  • LOVE IT!!!!

  • much appreciated, good song, good musician.

  • I didn't know Kim Jong-il could sing. North Korea may sponsor the next Woodstock.

  • Very nice job - enjoyed it.

  • This is wonderful! Well done my friend.

  • very good sir.

  • WHY DOES THIS HAVE VIEWS? AZIENS CANT BE HIPPIES.

  • @bubs7569 and who are u to say who can be a hippie or not ur ignorant just like everyone else who has a strong ego stop being so judgemental man and the least u could do is actually spell an ethnic race right...

  • duuuuuuude.

  • nice one mate!

  • Way Cool

  • And, not for nothing, thank you for ENUNCIATING!!! I never could decipher the "billion year old carbon" lyric. Awesome!! :)

  • @GreatMooglyGoogly first time I heard it clear too. I love it.

  • @GreatMooglyGoogly and lost in the devils bargain.

  • @GreatMooglyGoogly Maybe we should have listened to the original first (I thought csn wrote this). Joni Mitchell sings it clear as day

  • @GreatMooglyGoogly I grew up singing "we are starving, we are dirty" instead of "we are stardust, we are golden". I knew a guy who sang "we were happily stoned" instead of "we were half a million strong". Joni Mitchell missed Woodstock because her manager advised her appearing on The Dick Cavett show was a better career move. She wrote this song based on what Graham Nash told her about the legendary festival.

  • Great video!!! Keep the spirit alive - TEACH PEACE!!!

  • Once again thanx for the love of music

And unfortunately the garden today is that if hatred and judgement... IT IS A PIGGISH WORLD WE LIVE IN NOW... how do ya give peace a chance when people don't know what the he'll it is ..... If you want good company you have to hang out with your pets it seems like .... Once again nice work on the tune man thanx

  • ok wanannabee, you actually have ability but be yourself....slow down and find your soul, one musician to another.//.....and we aaaaaare creation........

  • cool.

  • Great, I love this guy, jnaff6@mail.com

  • please have a look at my version of woodstock...I'd love to know your thoughts Anna Corcoran - woodstock

  • Good Job!

  • fuck you!

  • this video is a little trash

  • Thanx for keeping our dreams alive man. It's a shame when they tryed it again it turned to violence and destruction.

  • I like it, well done

  • I love this. Was sitting in the dark looking for a good version of "Woodstock" and this is like a prayer to me.

  • @LuckilyThough This song is by Crosby, Stills, & Nash, Joni Mitchell is the one who actually designed the album artwork for their album, So Far

  • @maxwellsgianthammer Hi man! just to tell you this time you are mistaken. The writer of the tune is Mitchell -although, paradoxically- she was not really there (but close!).

The C,S,N &Y version (not CS&N), from Deja Vu is much more famous than Joni´s, and I am not even sure which version was recorded before (2 borrow a song just written by another author is not so unusual, bearing in mind these people were all friends, hanged -and actually Fucked- together), but IT IS JONI´S TUNE

  • @maxwellsgianthammer You know Mitchell wrote the song.

  • @soin2top Lulz late by a motnh.. Joni Mitchell did both. I did my research about.. LESS THAN A WEEK AFTER THAT COMMENT.

  • awful!!!

  • you suck

  • beautiful~peace love and gratitude

  • OK! I got it now!! I really liked this! and I am picky! Ignore the haters. They cant help themselves, they are botom feeders...love ya! do some more! Hello from North Carolina, USA!

  • whats your tuning here?

  • Awesome work man!! nice twist

  • This Is Joni Mitchell's song and CSN covered it, the song came after Woodstock and Joni wasn't there and she wishes she was and it comes through her voice quite clear

  • This Is Joni Mitchell's song and CSN covered it, the song came after Woodstock and Joni wasn't there and she wishes she was and it comes through her voice quite clear

  • Nicely done man I'd crank it out any day man

  • deferent but good

  • That was really sweet. Thank you!

  • Billion year old carbon...wow! I've been a fan of this song since Joni sang it in the 60s...but I never knew that line!!! I'm going to have to play her version to see what I actually sing to that line...oooer.

Fab version, I wasn't sure at the beginning but by the end of it I was in love with it all over again.

Did someone on here dis this singer because of race or sex? Who cares?! Good people...bad people...a few confused in the middle...that's the only way we should be thought of...simple.x

  • not bad, dude ... !
