The U.S. media rarely reported U.S. vetoes in the 80's & 90's.

The UN literature is also very vague. A vetoed resolution is hard to find documentation on since it is not adopted & notes to resolutions tended not to use the word veto, using 'negative vote' if giving any such info.

Veto was a highly derogatory term usually reserved for when the Russians voted against something.

I agree. It's very easy to lose sight of the fact that the state ( and I include all the corporations in cahouts with the state in that definition ) more or less tell us what to believe, and most people believe it.

The terrorism as defined by the state is minuscule compared to what they do. And make no mistake about it, the US and Israel are an axis of evil, almost everything they're GOVERNMENTS are doing in the world today is aimed squarely at the happiness and well being of the human race.

Are you sure? This resolution was passed in 1987, AFTER Reagan declared the War on Terror in 1981! That's right, 20 years before Bush jnr re-declared it in 2001.

Yes, Reagan declared 'war on Terror' in 1981 & then set up one of the biggest International Terrorist networks ever seen. Killing 100s of thousands throughout Latin America.

In fact, America became the only country ever to be charged with International Terrorism by a World court in '86 after it's attacks on Nicaragua in '83-84.

actually the 1987 declaration that the US government voted against was a thinly veiled reference to the US actions in Latin America and in particular the court case against Nicuragua that it had just lost.

So that, and the effect it would have on proxies like Israel & South Africa (US government loved the arpatheid regime, look it up) was why they voted against it

Are you sure you are not confusing 42/159 with UNGA resolutions 42/18 & 43/11 (which deal more specifically with the ICJ rulings)?

I have read the very long summary minutes of the session that went with the resolution.

Most of the talk is about Israel & many arguments about the proposed International convention about terrorism being denounced by Netanyahu, because it was to be held in Syria.
