I used to think that new Metallica sucked too. Pretty much anything after Justice; and including Justice to a certain extent. However, I do not feel that way now, and it's awesome! Seeing clips from this current tour, the band looks like they feel unstoppable. What I have seen on youtube is all great. Of course it's not Masters, but WTF! They still do close to if not more that 200 shows a year and have for over 25 years.

Screw you, Metallica didn't sell, never did, never will they just a bigger audience because when they released The Black Album in '91, grunge was rising too with "Smells Like Teen Spirit", so the mainstream rock audience could shift their way. Besides if they kept playing thrash, no matter of the lyircal content, they could have been washed out like the glam & hair metal bands.
