Though they were selling 1/144 models for like double the price. A reasonable $13-$15 1/144 model was like $26.

Toys R us in the philippines have the almost same price in YEN converted to Philippine PESO!!! if the bandai price is 6500 yen they would sell it around 5000 PHP, (the exchange rate for yen=peso is 1 YEN= 0.571 PESO) T_T

I remember back when Gundam was huge in the U.S. because of Gundam Wing. Stores like Toys R Us, Wal-Mart, Target, etc had Gundam models for sale ranging from Gundam Wing, 8th MS Team, 0083, G Gundam, etc. It is weird how the series started to die when they cancelled Mobile Suit Gundam when the September. 11th terrorist attack happened. They tried to bring it back to life with Gundam SEED, but it failed because they keep changing times from night to late at night, which killed ratings.

Here in Manila, Toys R Us and this other large toy store chain called Toy Kingdom are the worst places to buy Gunpla. Their gunpla is usually 20% more expensive than those sold in Hobby stores. Maybe it's because their located in malls where the rent is much much higher.

during SEED Destiny the Toy's R Us near me had a ton of gundam figures. however, after MSIA kinda bit the dust that whole aisle got shrunk down. Eventaully it jsut sorta disappeared. the model aisle never changed much though... although they didn't have the plastic ties on the kits...which was nice.

Wow Japan has the best sales ever.

The best Canada has to offer, are overpriced anime goods including Gundam Kits.

And when theose items are not over priced, that shop is forced to close down...that place in canada I use to always go 4 kits... NO, not comix hobby; $30 for a hg flag custom(not including tax) or a $100 NG 1/100 strike freedom! not worth it at all!
