Yes but you are limited. On this 025 I upgraded the carb to one with both a H and L screw adjustment. I also opened up the muffler outlet and removed the screen. You can also improve the cutting by switching over to RS chain it is a more efficient cutter design. The ports can be modified some but I have not gone into this saw that far. also a side note is that my son was running the throttle and he let of on the up cut.
