this is the Eddie that Sammy was afraid of most; the sweet, kind, down to earth and SOBER!!!! Sammy prefers the drunk & numb EVH so he can do his solo career, cabo wabo band & chickenfoot. When Eddie was drinking & worrying about vultures trying to take VH apart, Sam used it to keep his solo agenda & using the VH brand to promote it while keeping Ed & Al waiting in the wings for VH. Thats the truth!!

@earlymtv This album was number one on the charts for a good while. Had they kept it together, they would've been just as successful as aerosmith or U2 during this time. It's hindsight, but look at the track record and it speaks for it self... What they hell happened Eddie after this? three years later he looked like complete crap, but looked pretty good here.

Man Sammy and Eddie were great friends and business partners what the hell happened?

miscommunication and some harsh things were done/said and no one ever apologized for their actions. Eddie thought Sammy was losing interest in the band, which he wasnt, and Sammy thought Eddie was getting to controlling. Sammy was in Hawaii with his wife for the birth of their child and Eddie made him come back to LA to record the two songs for the Twister Soundtrack, so sammy missed his childs birth. Consequently Sammy was pissed, which made Eddie pissed and things just got worse from there.
