I almost.ALMOST believe there was a higher power directing Oscar Schindler to the the best thing in the world at that time and as he said in the movie:I could have saved so much more if I sold my car,my Nazi Pin,etc...he was incredible at the facade and not running the saving hot headadly,he became concerned that he can really save lives and he knew that nature he was dealing with,the Nazis.

@MAGODIPORTANOVA Uhm, Hitler.. If you were going to be killed for something you will NOT do, you wouldn't do it. Simple as that. That's why people followed orders.Sure they could have said enough is enough, but only one person at a time would do it, and everyone near him would shoot the dude dead. Use your brain.
