Totally off the subject of the game, but...I really, REALLY miss the old X Play. The sketch comedy bits (like the ones at the beginning and end of this video) were true highlights not only of that show, but of G4 period.

Back on topic...Sonic CD was godly and alone is worth the price of this collection. I for one would like to know which game Morgan considers the best Sonic game ever. The other games are novelties.

Sonic is one of my favorite series, but the thing is that the controls are usually horrible! And the camera never helps. Also the current voice actors suck. They should have kept Sonic Adventure 2s cast. But the story is always fun and the graphics are usually good. It's a good series no matter what X-play says.

I would give this game a 6.5/10.

Pros, Sonic CD and Sonic R are very good titles, same with Vectorman 1 & 2. Unlocking retro stuff and pictures kick ass. I like the hints.

Cons, They could've have more unlockable games. Most of the Game Gear games suck. The Game Gear games take too much data on your memory card. Sonic the Fighters was okay. The controls in Sonic R are slippery. The spin dash in Sonic CD is delayed for one second. Overall, decent game.

1. Nintendo messed up big time by removing Streets of Rage 1, 2, & 3 from the US listing just to keep an "E" rating for the final release of the collection. they should've simply made two versions. one with an "E" rating and one with a "T" rating so that SOR 1, 2, & 3 could've made it. all this to please a few parents -_-. 2. why the hell isn't the japanese soundtrack included on the US version as well?. it's a slap in the face and Sega cheated US buyers out of the original soundtrack -_- sucks.

Sonic Championship was pretty fun to beat the hell out of another sonic character that pissed you off though =] and Sonic CD GOD i love that sonic game. Yeah the only actual LEAP to the 3-D were the Sonic games i actually ever liked which were Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 along with some little bit of conception to Sonic Heroes.

Most 3-D sonic games sucked. Also Spinball i loved on the Genesis too, i took hours getting past the Power House lvl (2nd one) was a kid ._. oh well. still nostalgia =D Xplay kinda pisses me off with their overrated reviews. whatever happened to Good Games getting good reviews?
