  • Another awesome video by Tony d

  • so did you mask the buttons and stuff? now the power button looks hazy.... and you got all that over spray...direct spray for that matter in the 360.. is that not bad for the inner hardware? I'm not being a smart ass. id like to try this... just making sure it wasn't a bad 360... thanks.

  • @JDizzle45fizzle thats just an xbox 360 case

  • @JDizzle45fizzle look at 1:26 you can see right through the case

  • ok...lol never mind i seen it at the end of the vid ..thanks keep up the good work love the vids

  • name of the music u got playing on this vid ????? i like it .

  • hang on so this is just wet paint? then put on the glad wrap

  • @bboy0610 Yup that's about it . Acrylics with retarder in it work well too.

  • can this work with spray paint?

  • dose this work best on black base's like trueFire ?

  • i cant wait to get my internet turend back on to join this coolass forum. so i dont have to look at youtube vid on my cell phone.

  • tony, when you rub the wrap all over, is that just to get the FX on evry pice of the panel? or are you trying to make shapes?

  • costommod360.... the trans base is just a base coat thats put on b4 the colors, to make the paint sick better to the X-box plastic, instead of sanding or scuffing. And trans colors or the same as Candy colors, their transparent colors they change every layer of color under it.

  • Im assuming the transparent base is just to lock in the black base, correct? How does transparent base work? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

  • did this process left the surface ruff ???

  • @titan371 put a layer of clear, wet sand it, and the second layer of clear. it smooths out everything

  • can you use spary cans?

  • @TrueApollyon Can't see why not, might need to use enamel types but you not going to get the translucency as much.

Try an old PC case to test. Use Hi gloss black let it flash off and harden. Then mix say Gold Metallic in the left hand and Clear with the right hand lay it on reasonably thick then freezer bag, scrunched cellophane or good old Glad Wrap, stippling all over the surface, peel off and let harden, rub back 1500-2000 WET and hit with several coats of clear

  • how long do you have the plastic on before remove it ?

  • @mraway99999999999999 he removed it after 30 seconds then let it dry

  • thats a nice trick to know

  • Sik bro.. Paint my truck a teal candy blue like that lol

  • how cool is that

  • how did you just put your paint in you gun without reducing it

  • your got the best airbrush tutorial's on the web if you ask me, im going to buy a airbrush soon and try the stuff you show on your channel :) thanks for the tutorials and keep up the awsome work :D

  • is it safe for the xbox or is there anything you had done to keep it "alive"

  • it looks like a really dark hunting camo also. could you use it for that by using different colors?

  • It's incredible how such an easy technique looks amazing :D

  • MAN IM TRYING TO PAINT MY LOW RIDER BIKE METALIC ORANGE ....WHAT OTHER COLOR DO I USE TO MAKE THE MARBLE POP OUT ?????

  • Do you let it dry before you take off the plastic? and do you think it would work with spray paint?

  • @Moose1097 yes, you let it dry. Dont think it will work on spray paint well, you need to add a lot of paint to the area. make it wet enough.

  • @z0ne276 No, you don't let it dry or it'll pull up the whole skin with it. You pull it off while it's still wet, then let it dry.

  • That is has got to be one of the most amaizing videos you have ever done.

    Absolutely awesome effect tony 5*

  • hey men i am having problems with my projets i dont realy know what paint is the best ones to work with automotive since i am new in this departamen i will apreciate any help

  • hey just wondering, in what order do you use do this in ? and with which paint ? at the moment im just guessing... 1st coat - black base coat..... 2nd coat - pearl, kandy or metallic base coat.. then apply wrap whilst wet ? then clear it all ? am i wrong, just not sure yet.

  • @1111brendan 1st coat is your candy base, 2nd is black or whatever u chose to use then apply the plastic wrap, 3rd coat is your kandy and top it all off with clear

  • @1111brendan Yep, you got it brendan. You could also shoot some kandy over the top in the color scheme you want to match. Tony would probably paint it kawi green LOL!!

  • thank you sooo much man,,, ive always wanted to do this to my dash but i never could find anything that really gives a good picture on how to do it...

    Props!

  • u r SICK !!!!!!!!!!! its very nice !!

  • u r SICK !!!!!!!!!!! its very nice !!

  • what is the diffrence between transparent bas and just regular transparent colors?

  • WOW! That's sooo cool! thanks so much for sharing... looking at the result I would have never guessed it was so simple. You're so clever.

  • can i do this with a sprey can?

  • how long do you let the paint dry?

getting a new Iwata eclipse cs next month!

  • great and easy!!

  • amazing !!!! 1er time i see this !!!!!

  • do you have to wait until the paint dry before get the plastic off ???

  • thanx Tony D

  • I cant do any of this, but its just fun to watch.

  • i wonder if it is the same xbox case or a different every time he uses one, because I wouldn't paint over the ones hes done. they look awesome. I would have it where I just switch the shell out on my xbox when I want to

  • @BladeEdge93 HAHA like a wardrobe...closet full of x box shells

  • You are an asset to mankind. Thanks for your videos !

  • MY GOD! That looks so fucking awesome

  • siiiiick!!!

  • Thanks for the video, its very helpful. I have one question, have you prepared the XBOX before?

  • Awesome Trick! - Your Tricks are really easy to do by yourself and even a beginner learns really great tricks - thanks for that.

This really makes airbrushing more fun to do!

  • Thats looks so much like shattered glass, I'm less impressed by other peoples works now....

  • That is awesome. I gotta try this.

  • dude how many freakin xbox shells do you paint? Are you doing them for customers or just as an example?

  • @dedicated2succeed LOL, it's the same one.... Like I can afford xbox shells like that. Ha

  • that's looks great. How much do you usually charge to paint someones system cover?

  • @ArtWithRob I don't, I'm just messing around. I don't have time to paint as a job...

  • thats sick

  • So awesome

  • WOW looks really really cool!!!

  • Pretty cool...thanks

  • YOU ARE A CERTIFIED G!! THANK YOU SO MUCH MAN

  • @Dexduzdiz Dude, seriously, this trick is ridiculously easy. I'm just surprised no one else got around to showing it to everyone. Thanks though...

  • @AirbrushTricks errrr. Search Ed Hubbs Airbrushing Wrinkle Effect

  • awesome as always ... I don't know if you realise how helpful you are for newbie like me. Thanks a lot ;)

  • Also looks great using aluminium base coat then candy over the top

  • cool trick, thx :)

  • A very big trick! I think it should be a little more luster to it later. Thanks for the video, I'm learning a lot from you!

  • Great trick, but I just wanna know if you can use paint for normal art (water based) and thin it down or just to buy a whole ton of proper small bottles from kreatic

  • @BrOK3nBrZD The AutoAir that Tony is using is water based. If you mean apply by brush,i suppose you could as long as its thin enough and you get rid of the brush marks with the plastic wrap.

  • This would look sick with orange on black

  • @clocke74 Yes, yes it would. I love orange and black....

  • Neat! Gonna try this once I get my compresor working again. But just a tip dude, the background music is really loud compared to the volume when you speak.

  • thats so cool Im deffinetly gonna try that one thanks for the vid Tony

  • Wicked trick

  • wicked awesome

  • Do you reckon it would work with a rattle can?

  • @moess117 yes it does. Just make sure you work it while the paint is still wet. I find using silver on a black base then the candy color works best. Of course, Clear coat sand and buffing brings the whole thing to life. Good luck

  • @ObsessionMotorcycles Thanks man, I'll definitely give it a go when I get the chance.

  • @moess117 Sorry. I just want to make sure that you understand that the base coat MUST be completely cured before applying the wet coat to be wrinkled.

I also find that using an airbrush will only allow you to work in very small areas at any one time. If you have a larger spray gun, it is better than an airbrush for this effect to work perfectly.

    Pete

  • now can you show us the velvet paint trick i have always wondered how people do it

  • @MrMetalica11 What do you mean? Send me a PM and point me to an example. I'm sure I can figure out what your talking about.

  • it looks cool but wouldnt that leave a really un even finish

  • @ZuluComander I'm guessing you lay down some clear coat after it, soon as that's dry wet sand it down then repeat the clear and sanding till you get the finish you want.

  • @moess117 It sits pretty low once it dries. Yeah a thick clear coat makes this trick look amazing. Some folks like to put a candy color on top of the design also.

  • @AirbrushTricks What do you mean, like a full coat or just mist it over?

  • @moess117 You gotta lay it down. A pretty thick wet coat works well but of course you can try all different combos....

  • @moess117 A regular thick clearcoat.

  • @AirbrushTricks Thanks man I'll give it a go as soon as I get the chance.

  • That was kool! I seen others on youtube, But your trick was to damn kool! Kool beans!!!!!!!!!

  • nice!!!!!!!!!!
