I dunno. While I am in love with deep voices, I think his voice suits him. First of all, it has an /accent/ (OHMAHGUDNESS YES). And also, he's supposed to be a "smooth talker" to undermine Beast's defenses and make him all emo and stuff.

And when he gets angry or whatever, his voice can get really loud and powerful-sounding. For example, when he says "Kingdom Hearts" or the phrase right at the beginning of his battle ("Where's the fun in this?" or "There's no fun in this!" (can't tell)). :D
