the song was changed because of copyright. the original music is 'falling' and 'into the night' by julee cruise.

did a lot of research to find it. falling is available on youtube but into the night doesnt seem to be.

George Washington was a beautiful, graceful horse.  It is a shame he had to be euthanized. I am against racing, and feel this is just terrible. Poor, poor George Washington.

Excellent video, I love the music. It's more like an "in memory" type of song than...well, like a depressing song.

George's father was the great Danehill, a champion on the course and as a stallion. George was bred to race and without racing he would not have come to be.

We were lucky to have him.

This has an unusual atmosphere - those long, uninterrupted tracking shots (the ones at Newmarket upto the race) which don't look like they were broadcast on TV, and almost have the look of unmanned security footage - it gives it a disengaged sadness; and a delayed sadness which is more affecting than immediately flashing up 'RIP!' and having an RnB ballad which warbles 'be sad now' at the viewer.

The Julee Cruise songs are classy, and must contribute to the unusual atmosphere. Brilliant!
