  • Silly Christians, again you got it wrong. You need maybe to be just Christians instead of pretending t be Jews, you insult my religion when you do this.

  • Remember that Chabad and Judaism are separate religions. You can recognize chabad types online because they usually have the magic number 770 somewhere in their name.

  • Dancing is prohibitted on Yom Kippur. It's a day of affliction, not enjoyment.

  • It pictures the binding of Satan (Lev 16:21-22; Rev 20:1-3). That makes it something to rejoice about.

  • Plus affliction has to do with fasting not, not dancing.

It is a day we are not to work on, but I don't remember any place where it talks about not dancing.

  • Actually, Torah is very clear on the matter! It is to be "a day of sacred, SOLEMN assembly" in accordance to the Mo'adim that Hashem gave Israel. When you dance [lirchudah], you are purposely violating the command of being SOLEMN. Instead, you are REJOICING, the opposite of SOLEMN. Thus, this act DEFILES the assembly and makes it impure [lo tahor].

  • 27Howbeit on the tenth day of this seventh month is the day of atonement: it shall be a holy convocation unto you, and ye shall afflict your souls; and ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto Hashem. 29For whatsoever soul it be that shall not be afflicted in that same day; he shall be cut off from his people. [Leviticus 23:27 & 29, NASB]

  • If you can find one passage that says you can't dance on the Day of Atonement you'll have proof enough for me.

Really, I can't understand why one would want to dance not having food or water that day, but the Bible doesn't say you cannot do it.

That sounds like something the Pharisees might have "added" to the Bible though. You know like the 60 or more dos and donts they added to the weekly Sabbath?

  • Anointed.

  • That's where I belong!

  • This dance is so much in the spirit of Yom Kippur!

  • wow u guys did great
