My wife and I just purchased a black on black Sorento today. And we are so happy with it. We were actually going to purchase an used Mazda CX-9 which was at a KIA dealershiop. They CX-9 they had was just ok, so the sales person introduced us to the Sorento. Man we were so surprised at the all the features for the amount of money. And once we drove it we fell in love. KIA has really stepped there game up. I looks just like an Acura RDX to me.

@amazonrush5 I agree with you. I drive an old 2004 Ghetto Kia rio and now when I want to buy a new car, Kia was never on my list until I saw new optima on road and I was blown away by styling. After checking it out on web I saw that Kia I drive and present kia are miles apart. I have made up my mind now to get a sorento. One thing I can say about reliability, I got mine second or third hand (used car) and I didnt get any issue for past 3 years. Car still runs fine and I will keep it.

I have the same sorento but its in black. It sucks so bad in the snow Im thinking about returning. Can any1 tell me why it sucks so bad. I cant even pull in my garage with 2 inches of snow.

I get to pick mine up in a few hours. Did not get one quite this nice, but even the "lesser" models have so much to offer. I cannot wait to get mine!

The one thing that I did notice on this vehicle was the seat cover stitching. If you look at the headrest @ 3:52, it looks like it was sewn together by Stevie Wonder. All in all, still a great vehicle, but I hope they work on that aspect of the interior.

Great video! Very informative. I have been looking at the Sportage. You explained a lot about the vehicle and all of it's neat features. The interior looks really nice. Isn't it true that Kia is now being designed by the person who used to make Audi vehicles? I might consider checking this car out.

The Numbers Say It ALL

SEOUL (AFP) South Korea's second largest carmaker Kia Motors said Friday its net profit more than quadrupled in the first quarter to March this year, thanks to strong sales at home and abroad.

Kia, an affiliate of Hyundai Motor Co., said it earned 398.5 billion won (358 million dollars) in the three months ended March 31, up from 97.3 billion won in the same period last year.

"Strong demand for new models such as the K7 sedan and the Sorento R sport utility vehicle and increased sales in the United States, China and Russia drove profit and sales higher," a company spokeswoman said.

First-quarter operating profit also surged more than three-fold to 309.8 billion won as sales rose 39 percent to 4.86 trillion won.

The country's largest automaker, Hyundai Motor, on Thursday reported its net profit jumped almost five-fold to to an all-time record 1.12 trillion won (1.0 billion dollars) in the same period on the back of strong sales abroad.

We bought the Sorento as a third vehicle. I feel the only ones ripping anyone off are the other auto makers charging outrageous prices for their models.KIA's giving the consumer just what they want a nice looking, dependable vehicle at a great price.

Sorry but kia JUST started making their vehicles in the US this year. They are in fact a foreign company-Korean. Honda Nissan Toyota and others all make their vehicles in the US most for 15-20 years now. Kia wasn't the first to introduce a 10yrs 100000K Bumper to Bumper. Hyundai was. Once again, so what if Peter Schreyer is the lead designer? all he offers is the ability to design a Kia that looks like an Audi, or Mercedes, or Lexus. NOT A KIA. They are ripoffs.

Order ours Maxed MSRP Was 34,590 we got it for 30,489,in Pacific Blue.Our buget was in the 40s we were heading to the Audi Dealer to buy the Q5 for 43 and change that was the mid level model, maxed was in the 50s. It was beauitful no doubt! We saw the Sorento at a traffic light decided to take a quick look.People we were "SHOCKED" The Sorento hands down blew us away ,the ride was so much better than Audi.I know sounds crazy.The Ride,Handeling,Looks and its loaded! Worth every dollar we paid :)

@soeasypls I am so glad to hear that you chose the Kia over the Audi. Kia has come a VERY long way in the last 3 years. They are among 3 manufacturers that grew in sales last year and they don't plan to stop. What was Audi's warranty? A LOT less than Kia and you will actually need to use that warranty with the Audi.

Your last sentence summed up everything great. I loved the review. Looking to my own Mohave and this, i can see that not only they have added the stuff they first introduced in the Mohave/Borrego, but they also refined them more. Everything is a little bit more thought out, than it is on my Mohave. Great Great review. You actually made me want to buy the Sorento now. :)
