  • IMO the New York accent is ugly sounding

  • I want you to talk in a dutch accent english

  • Because I love to play characters I make up. This is super helpul. Especially with my Irish and English accents which deteriorate quickly if I'm not careful

  • The scottish accent is sexy as idk what lol

  • i cannot do "i knoorw"!!!!!

  • She's a pretty redhead! I like redheads now

  • Why is it that Australians venture overseas and get accused of NOT speaking with an Australian accent. The (West) Australian accent is far more subtle that the myth believes. Sydney & NSW-people are peasant convicts (& speak as such: Ref Scumbag Keating)

  • i love her real voice..

  • You're wonderful! You're so much fun!

  • Amy, you are beautiful instrument of sounds as well as being super talented. I like how you FEEL the sounds and become one with them...a sign of a true artist! Bravo!

  • @mswinditup Oooh! I love how you articulated that, thank you! It is a splendid sensation to truly FEEL the sounds and become one with them, as you said. Spot on. Fully recommend it! :-)

  • She is enchanting! I found myself wanting to take her in my arms, brush her hair back and gently kiss her on the neck. Going to take a cold shower now then go for a long walk. What an intriguing woman!

  • Your Irish accent is incredible! Seriously!

  • I ... LOVE .... YOU!

The funny thing about this video is that you feel that you're actually having a lesson. 'Cause you keep saying "that's right" haha :p so cute ;)

  • If it took you 2 minutes to learn an accent... WHAT VIDEO DID YOU WATCH ?! o.O

  • She is so beautiful

  • HA! yer weegy accent is spot on!

  • A girl with an accent is always sexy.........and she's got 500!!!!!!

  • Your Australian accent is BANG on!

  • the irish accent makes me melt <3

  • @shabs124

Same here! Thought I was the only one! My spine turns to jello.

  • no i didnt get it! My throat doing weird things, my lips wont shape to the words correctly and i cant lean and put stress or w.e on certain parts of words im horrible at this haha :D

  • Without any tutorials or videos I found growing up I could do a range of different accents, it's so easy to do.

  • You're incredible, and probably insane. haha

  • I'm Glaswegian and found myself doing the Irish accent better :P

  • when you said are you having fun i had just said i look silly but im having fun haha

  • Audience?! wha-what are you doing trying to learn different accents? That is mighty precarious of you, Audience! =D

  • I found myself, an Australian, trying to do an 'aussie' accent and failing.

  • @VloggerLuke Did you think she was Aussie in her 21 accents? Her Syd accent is pretty good.

  • @selty Yeah. She was good. It was exaggerated but of course that is the purpose because when a person does another accent they do have to exaggerate it for people to understand who its meant to be. I love her work!

  • Could you please do a modern Irish accent...not a Dublin accent from the 1920's.

  • @yurismir1 The glottis being the vocal folds :-)

  • @gethaj My textbook disagrees with you : P

  • @yurismir1 hmm. well, it's the combination of the folds and the gap

  • @gethaj hmmm...I know that's what Wikipedia says, but my textbook still disagrees. It says it's the gap between the vocal folds.

  • You are unbelieveable!

  • Wonderful. Though I hate to be pedantic (and hope to be helpful) but glottal stops are made at the glottis. Epiglottal stops are something else... But as I said, otherwise, great as usual. :-)

  • @gethaj The glottis being the gap in between the vocal folds, correct?

  • amy - great series of videos - you certainly are a talented voice artist. just an observation regarding irish accents - in general, the vowels are not elongated. your observations on t, th etc. are spot on, but the word "that" for example, wouldn't be "thaaaaat" - great fun though huh ?

  • Ugh ugh ugh ugh haha

  • how it sounds when she suks my yank!!!! press (3)

  • When she said,"So she said. . . facetiously", in that cute voice, stumbling over "facetious". . .

    fucking adorable. Marry me.

  • so is she american?

  • SHE IS SO PRETTY.

  • WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU FROM!!!!!!

  • @SweetNoteage She's from Seattle, USA.

  • she's a beauty!

  • Ohh i love her sarcasm!!!

  • hah the "i know" aussie accent is so right on.

  • love these videos! i just donated and good luck with your film.!

  • my tongue goes crazy......

  • OMG thank youuu my friend is obsessed with aussies and she's wanted to know how to speak with the accent n now she can say i know haha yay

  • Never knew i had a bit of Aussie in me, I say 'i know' like her, and I just found out this amazing woman speaking it in a similar/same way too. :) ( I'm not even Australian or ever been there.)

  • Would swim across the Pacific covered in fish bait with a weighted vest and lead flippers to marry her and get talked to sleep every night.

  • I cannot concentrate on what she's saying, just admiring her beauty

  • HAHAHA my mom walked in the room looked at me like i was a robber. i tried to explain to her what i was doing and i zoned out and she didnt get it so i was yelling at her in a uncomplete Irish accsent!!

  • 3:10 = Jersey Shore.

  • I...LOVE...YOU :)

  • Who or what are you looking at?

    i

  • Weren't you on a national morning t.v show doing various voices? Like Good Morning America or something? I love to hear you doing those voices! It is soooo coool!

    i

  • Love LOve LOVE - your videos Amy!

  • you saying things in slow motions makes the dipthongs vowels a lot easier to learn. Thanks :)

  • AHHH I'VE FINALLY HEARD YOUR REAL VOICE AT LAAAAAST :D

  • i had fun with it!!!

  • Amiable Amy Is Amiable. x^D

Her next channel: "Walkable Walker." ;^P

  • great

  • I can picture ten thousand ppl all over the world, voicing all that weird stuff :D

  • I was on amazon looking for a book on how to do accents. I couldn't find a single one. I see a gap in the market.

  • @jasonUKbristol You're not looking hard enough. There are actually books on that topic.

  • she's boring and she scares me D:

  • the epiglottis does not stop a sound; it can't. It's the vocal folds closing the "glottis" which is the space between the vocal folds. just fyi.

    You're amazing!

  • You look like the "black swan" girl!

  • I need to get back to my Arabic homework but it's so much more interesting to watch these accent videos...

  • It's amazing how your clothes and make-up match the stained-glass door behind you! Great idea! Not only you act but your settings do as well. Artistic!

  • Beautifull smile ;) Try the french canadian accent for me ;)

  • sorry, but you have nice white teeth lol!, just saying

  • Would you be willing to teach me(us) how to do a "Transatlantic"?

Or is there a youtube video already? this is great!

  • She is hot but why she not do this lessons wearing the sexy clothes

  • I like your french accent. do you think you could pick up french canadian though?

  • what accent do you use when you moan?

  • This is AMAZING!!! Thank you so much, it's exactly what I wanted to see! :) I can't wait to see if you do more!

  • I have them all but I CANNOT get the transatlantic accent. When is that "how to" coming out?

  • OMG YOU'RE FUCKING AWESOME! haha

  • The door really brings out the colour in her eyes.

  • What language is the most discordant, in your opinion, Amy babe? I think Dutch and Hebrew are most unpleasant to the ear.

  • I rly wish you could do real long tuttorials! youre so good

  • I don't know what it is but you are incredibly attractive

  • Who else loves the word Glaswegian?

  • sorry your lesson is not concrete and clear.

  • Can you do a dutch accent in English next time? I've been told dutch itself is really natural in the sense of unscratched. I always think the accent sounds a little prude. Interesting is that our language, dutch, is characterized by the many consonants in it.

  • @alalelalex

I mean dutch has lots of vowels.

  • I got the Irish, Scottish and New York accent but i found the others a little difficult.

  • I love you Amy! You are awesome! More of these please :)

  • LOL, I love how much fun you have making these vids - especially this one! So infectious!

  • This was great! My housemates must think Ive gone crazy, talking to myself!

Just one thing- if I picked it up wrong please excuse me but I think it needs to be pointed out that wasnt "Irish" It was English with an Irish accent or even Hiberno-English if you like but Irish is a different language altogether. Im not usually all patriotic and nationalist like this, but its an often-made mistake. Amy probably knows but maybe not all viewers do.

    looking forward to more! xx

  • Very nice. Thank you very much!!

  • great stuff :D

(although - I hate to be pernickerty but glottal stops are stops of the glottis, not the epiglottis)

  • damn, what kinda drugs youre takin lol

  • Amy, you make me smile :-)

  • mooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooore

  • I'm American it was VERY difficult to prounounce the Aussie's "O" sound lol

  • amy's mannersisims reminds me of Ijustine's.

  • Worthless teacher! I can't concentrate on a word she's saying.

  • @babypappa Or you're a worthless student. ;)

  • @babypappa Attention span problems?

  • @Firewalkerbg OK, I obviously have to spell it out for you. I can't concentrate because I'm distracted by her beauty. It was said jokingly. Jeez.

  • @babypappa I wasn't serious either lol

  • I am in love with her teeth!

  • @lisowzki one of the "bestest" teeth!

  • I can't tell when or if she is being serious.

  • Comment removed

  • Thank you, madam.

  • im so glad i watched this while i am stoned

  • I love her eyebrows they're so amazing. :)

  • DO PRANK CALLS!

  • YOU'RE MY HERO <3

  • do if you can Chinese

  • ....how would you feel about a Carmen Sandiego movie?

  • You look as elegant as your accents. :)

  • i dont find her very attractive, i find her over dramatic (?) it looks like shes acting in a theatre, or tries to look like that.. dont like it

  • <3

  • how white are your teeth?

  • Please do the Japanese accent!

  • Amy! one word ... Awesome!! :D

  • @amiablewalker "Greece! Yaaaaay!" How random and cute. Also, you're breathtakingly gorgeous, although I do sometimes wonder where the rest of your eyebrows went! ;-) I'm praying we'll see your talents in a feature film sometime soon, if even an indie production.

Nice tip about the Aussie "know"--going from knar --> know. Not sure what area this would be from, but I've also heard a bit of a 'y' sound at the end, almost is if you were saying "knowery", but all at once, without the dipthongs.

  • God I feel as of Amy is actually talking to me. Very engaging!

  • Aaaagghhhhh Aussie is so hard lol

    Takes so much effort

  • @KayZeeDoubleYou Not for me (but it helps that I grew up in Australia, heh).

  • @markiduval Ha! I guess that would help!

I can do all the others alright but the Australian one I don't think it's as common to hear. I don't think I've heard enough of it to do it. It is a great sounding accent though :] Kinda rugged

  • @KayZeeDoubleYou It's funny how some seem more difficult than others hey. I hear American accents all the time on television but I find them hard to do convincingly. Whereas by contrast, I can pull off British accents easily enough.

  • I had so much fun watching and participating. Thanks you so much :)

  • water in french is woo you need a drink irish man, woo point hand towards mouth, french spell it eau, its woo to us say woo:)

  • @danbit5 it's not woo it's said like oh

  • @TomTomSays

oh la la la, that is shocking oh la l la. i will say woo if i ever get a fucking holiday buddy

  • @danbit5 chill out I was just corecting your french, and don't bitch at coz you can't get a holiday ... Ask your boss?

  • you made me smile:)

  • who else giggled like crazy when they got the accent correct? lol

  • i have my headphones on and my family thinks im crazy for saying random things lol

  • This woman is amazing; how easily and fluidly she switches between accents.

  • So that sounds pretty close to Squawk. So if I say it with a T it's Stuawk?

  • it made me laugh

    i sucked XD

  • You're so beautiful. I love your smile!!!

  • You're not very accurate with the linguistics, (like the glottis is stopping the sound, not the epiglottis) but I geuss it doesn't matter. Great accents! I like how you pointed out that no one's accent is the same, so there's no way you can represent an entire city's accent! Here's what she's talking abt in phonetics:

    - Scottish "t" is a glottal stop [ʔ]

    - Irish "t" at the coda is something like a [ɬ] or dental [s]

    - Brooklyn (is it brooklyn?) "t" is an alveolar affricate [ts]

  • I bet your psychiatrist thinks you are a trip.

  • I feel like such an idiot trying these things!!

  • You are really wonderful. I've watched a lot of your videos, and I really enjoy them. I like your style, personality, and how you explain the linguistics (for me, personally, I learn better that way, the way you do it,...if I understand the mechanics it helps, vs. just sort of being told and trying to copy without "construction/development background" of the words. I wish your vids were longer. I don't know much at all about you. How can I "get more of you" so to speak? I'm in the States.

  • The lazier and more blending of words the mire Australian it sounds. Well around here anyway. It's really easy to just slide into a real lazy drawl. Especially on particular days like hot ones loool. =3

  • you blow me away with your versatility in accents please be my coach. I would love to have your skills and i would practice if i knew how, years really i have nothing but time....

  • The Australian accent isn't great, most of us pronounce the the 'w' in the work 'know'

  • @xtian92aus she's actually pronouncint the word "no"

  • @maciejayy that is gramatically incorrect. The phrase she is saying is "I know."

Even if she were pronouncing the word 'no' she is extending the 'o' sound far too much.

  • @xtian92aus you're right. i re-watched the video. sorry.

  • @maciejayy No she's not. She's trying to say "I know." Why would she be saying "I no?"

  • @inspi i wasn't correcting you, but ok. you're right.

  • the only one i can do properly is song! i need you as my personal accent coach please. :)

  • You are soo much fun, Amy! I like these tutorial vids. Keep 'em coming!

  • your eyebrows are funny :_

i love your voice!! it's so perfect!!

why i can talk like that in english? ¬¬

  • that was so much fun!

  • love those windows.!.!

  • transatlantic! yes!
