Though the version that I've encountered most has been based on the 18th-century tune, "Helmsley," Azmaria is singing the setting by William Owen, to the "Bryn Calfaria" hymn tune.

@chezaslullaby I think the song can heal, but it's not a power Azmaria can control at will. She can only use the song to heal when God gives her the power to do so. That and at that point Satella had achieved her goal and was content to die there. She didn't need Azmaria to heal her. That's my theory, anyway.

@chezaslullaby Well as i remember from the anime that after aion took a hold of all the apostle (including azmaria), she lost her powers. While she was in the church praying, I remember Satella going to her aid and thats where Azmaria told Satella that no matter how much she tried to sing her powers were no longer working.

@chezaslullaby her power is lost. She said it by herself. No matter how hard i sing, or how long i pray, my power doesn't come back. All the apostle is killed. I would die etc... i guess she lost her power after the ritual.

This is my favorite song of Azmaria. I still remember how much I cried when she sang this. She and Satella were my favorite characters in the series >-<
