@mathuv Well I'm talking about my impression. I've been there for 15 days and trust me I couldn't wait to go back home... I'm not talking about language or staff, that doesn't make any sense.

I'm talking about your bus (without any stop-alert button), your law (you cannot divorce there!), your streets without any asphalt... And yes, I met a lot of malteses being very and extremely rude. As well I met few (actually one is a very close friend of mine) really nice and honest person.

Everyone keeps talking about leaving the centre's and getting jobs and finding apartments. That is just not possible in Malta. First off, no one will give these persons any jobs. Secondly no one will rent to an apt or even a room to them. Malta still has a very bad problem with racism. These immigrant did not want to go to Malta they wanted a better life for themselves out of their war torn countries. I remember Maltese leaving for a better life abroad illegally in most cases too.!.!.!

Why do the authorities have to clean up and repair the damage they have created themselves, they choose to live there and so they repair the damage themselves from the allowance they are getting. It is of no use for the authorities to clean and repair for them, because after a few days the situation will be the same again, or else they can always find a job and rent a place like all the rest of us do !

The damage that we see in the video was caused by them fighting between each other. Once they were given tools, & teachers volunteers from trade school where taken there to show them how to repair the basic stuff....instead they thrown the tools at the teachers, hurting some of them. None was mentioned on any media!!! They should thank us each day for paying for their electricity, water, food and that each month we give them €130 each for doing NOTHING!!!

If they don't like it these people are free to leave whenever they want. They can rent a place to live in like the rest of us. As it is they are receiving free electricity, water, accommodation ,internet and a daily allowance. That's more than I receive. The thanks we receive is that every few weeks the police have tyo go down in force to stop fights between them.

Marsa Open Centre is not a military base, its a refugee centre. The AFM nor any other professional military in the EU houses their soldiers in the conditions found at the MOC. The management of the Centre is ignoring the health and safety regulations of Malta. It is a matter of the health of the refugees AND the public.

It's an open centre. Nobody is making them stay there. They are free to go and rent elsewhere. But it wont be free.
