spaceseeker - good eye :) i think its a dodo bird, yes? dodos dont do their own nesting but plant their eggs in unsuspecting wren nests when the parents are out-n-about foraging for food. then the dodo chick hatches quicker, and proceeds to hoist the wren eggs out of the nest so the dumb parents end up feeding it instead. nature's a bitch, eh

No, spaceseeker means a cuckoo you dodo. Dodos have been extinct since the 17th Century. They also weighed about 40 lbs and were flightless, so hanging out in nests wasn't exactly their bag. Back to your ornithology 101 text! ;)

Great stuff. I like how they play it a little "dirty". The trained classical tone would not have worked on this piece. I have listened to Kronos for the last 15 yrs-fantastic ensemble!. (As is Sigur Ros!) Kronos play mostly contemporary classical (experimental) music.
