I'll never forget when I was learning for a test a whole night, sleep deprived and jacked up with multiple caffeine energy drinks, I slipped into a different state of mind while listening to this song for hours. Malmsteen is overrated as a guitar player. First of all, playing diminished seventh arpeggios and harmonic minor fast are not hard. With one years practice, any fluent guitar player could duplicate it. Let's see him play a lot of whole tone stuff (Alan Holdsworth) and see how good he is. However, I think he is very underrated as a song writer and that's where he deserves credit.

What will always floor me about Yngwie is not the sheer technical ability or speed, but the incredible vocal quality that his notes have at times and his unreal vibrato. The bends at 3:53 and 3:57 are some of the most expressive things I've ever heard. Ironically, he has a rep as being all flash, but I think he's one of the most emotional rock-metal players ever. He's amazing.

You will feel them if you are close enough, the funny thing was when he was done. There had to be over a hundred on the floor, and no one cared. Everyone already had plenty as a souvenir!!! I mean, I'm not one to talk, he's still a very precise player and I couldn't come anywhere close to him, but there are some points where some notes ring out that you can tell weren't intentional.
