I had a little stock D16 hatch with a 16g turbo from a volvo on a stock motor pushing 7psi and that thing beat some 350zs and a bunch of imports and even a few v8 mustangs. It didnt keep traction out of a dig at all though i only won on rolls haha. Bad ass car man

i helped finish up wiring for a ls2 FD. i have a LS1 s13. and the FD is nicely balanced with some minor suspension adjustments. and when i say minor, i mean clicks of the coilovers, and setting ride height for looks. i daily a civic myself cause the 240 is too flashy. but i dont have ridiculous amoutns of power coming out of the civic either. haha. but the FD with an LSx is a good choice

I gotta gie credit to 20b's and whatnot, but parts for that (even if you built one lol) are expensive, rare, custom, and not to mention when it comes to things you can't do yourself... not many shops specialize in rotary's. Sure you can make em fast, but it's a waste of time and more importantly money. Not to mention a 13b to an LS1 is a HUGE upgrade. You get more HP, TQ, Potential, and... one QUICK ASS FD! lol

You can tell just by the gearing. I had an 00 SI before and the rpm's match up to the MPH. I mean he was around 8k rpm at 60mph, then it looked like 9k rpm at 100rpm in 3rd gear. Seems correct to me.

on this car there is a little gear on the transmission that reads the speed of the car. the gear itself is the sensor. it is not an rpm sensor, it is a speed sensor and something is probably wrong with it.

yes it is an rpm sensor. it translates the rpm reading of the gear into a corresponding voltage which goes to the gauge cluster.

it's not an epic fail. wheelspin will naturally give a false reading of speed on that kind of speedometer. know your stuff first before telling people their things are broken.
