@mpsslovak No, no, if it's not something you want to do, then you shouldn't feel obligated to sell it. I'm greatful that you agreed to sell me the DC-42. Plus, I probably couldn't even afford this one.
Right. I wish some others would get that picture, I'm pestered quite often about selling a certain Emerson Premium NIB by a certain collector... He's got first dibs, but it's not going anywhere anytime soon, and especially not while he technically still owes me a fan. Can you guess who it is yet, or shall I go on? XD
Go figure. Sorry I've been gone for a couple days, dunno if you've told John already. I'd send out the fan first then have you send payment, but I got screwed on my FIRST trade, so I'm a little wary of others now... I'll leave the fan boxed up for now, I don't have a place to put it anyway.
@mpsslovak I was just as nervous as you when I planned to send a MO halfway across the country. If you ever decide to send it, rest assured that I'm a VERY trustworthy guyat leastcompared toummOTHERS. ;-)
So if I send it you'll send the MO? I just kinda need the money to invest in the Thomas. I give people the benefit of a doubt, but once I get screwed over, they're OUT of any sales with me unless I get my guaranteed payment first. I think most people are more trustworthy than certain others... XDXDXDXD
@mpsslovak I give you a fan collector's promise (if such a thing exists). If you do, my parents will have to let me send the MO if they're at all decent people. If not, I'll simply mail it back.
Well yeah, at that point there's nothing for you to lose, and it would be the dumbest thing I've heard for in a long while if you are not allowed to send it. Wanna check it over with them? I've got plenty of time, lol.
@mpsslovak Not really, I'd like it to seem like a sort of suprise, and not something planned formerly between the two of us. If this plan backfires, I'm in deep sh*t.
Just be sure to make it seem like you decided to send it yourself. Hopefully, that will encourage my parents to trust you and......MOST fan collectors.
I like them too, but I'm getting way too many 90's SMCs, so I sold a few and I'm cutting back on buying them. There's a white/PB DC-42 at Habitat, but I don't think I'll get it.
Yes, I've still got it. There was another identical one at a thrift store last I went as well, but that was long ago now. You really want it? I'll sell it, I need money to reinvest in the Thomas hugger from John... PM me in here or on VCF!
i have this fan as well. i had 2 change the cord switch and the compacitor and it still works. the only problem is when i try 2 put it on medium or low, it is still going fast. so i decided pretty soon that when i get it installed in my house or room, i will have a wall speed control 4 it 2 c if it will work on that.

You selling this one too? LOL
Just kidding, I probably wouldn't have enough money after buying the 42".
BlueStreak440 2 years ago
Maybe, if you want it. 52" are less common here than 42" though, so I'm more willing to let the 42"ers go.

@mpsslovak Right, and as long as we're on the subject...my parents don't trust you...they say I can't buy the fan. =( =( =(
Pass the word on to John, will ya? Just tell him not to sell it to anyone else, 'cause I will eventually buy it, just not for a while.

Okay, well, I'll see what I can do on that. Don't know when I can get it out.

What were we talkin' about, again? LOL

There's three of these in a local cafe in my area. I like them; they were the first ceiling fans to spark my intrest WAY back when...

In my opinion, you can never have too many vintage fans. Regardless of what year it's from! =)
BlueStreak440 2 years ago
Wait...Do yu still have the 42" Park Avenue III? 'Cause I'd buy it from you! =)

PM sent. ;-)
BlueStreak440 2 years ago
Meh, I don't really count 90's as vintage, and too many 90's SMCs can be pretty bad since they're not even all that great.

fairlyoddparents5478 2 years ago
Yeah, they were made smaller. Good fans for being near the end of quality made fans.
