@jonathan6272 usc does not have fans, at least not beyond the extent that northwestern also has fans. the difference b/w osu and usc is that usc's actions actually directly led to winning. osu's did not. the on-field effects came with the cover-up, not the offenses, however inane the rules were that were broken. the similarity between osu and usc is that nearly always, both win and both accrue jealousy from people eager to tear them down for the slightest offense whether justified or not.

Who has talent in the Big Ten besides Ohio? Who is a real threat to Ohio State recruiting? They get the cream of the crop in the midwest and then get pounded when they played an elite team like USC or Florida or LSU. @harp1925 you miss the nuance of the situation. what tressel did was either an oversight or a cover-up but unlike at usc, the osu infractions didn't affect on-the-field play. the cover-up protected success, but the actions did not lead to victories. your claim that osu wins because of cheating is stupid. it's a shame that tressel, who did so much good, gets dragged through the mud by dolts like you because of this admittedly glaring offense and because all along you were jealous of his success.

Who has talent in the Big Ten besides Ohio? Who is a real threat to Ohio State recruiting? They get the cream of the crop in the midwest and then get pounded when they played an elite team like USC or Florida or LSU. Those teams had tough tests almost every week because the talent was similar. In the midwest it goes like this, Ohio State-5/4 star everybody else 1/2/3 star. Tressel overrated, would get pounded if he was in the SEC. Beating cupcakes is all it takes to get to a BCS

It's basically a home game for them. The NCAA babies the SEC.
