  • You get more health benefits drinking fresh green smoothies and adding more veges in your diet...plain and simple.

  • 3 people in my family did this and kept the weight off by a healthy diet and exercise

  • @529jona so the that diet really did have nothing to do about it, if you drink nothing but lemon cayenne pepper and water for 10 days then a carrot starts tasting like chocolate cake, they did it themselves, it was willpower, they basically we're anorexic for ten days then they decided to live a healthy lifestyle, this guy made an excellent point, this diet is just ridiculous, you're doing no good for your body.

  • bro..if you haven't done it..you shouldn't speak about it.... plus your still on the antiquated calorie dogma...

  • I love what Yuri has to say usually, but disagree on this one. The Master Cleanse is a cleanse! If weight loss occurs, its a bonus. I did it and had major detoxing symptoms and felt amazing once I had finished. It works as a cleanse. Not sure how weight I lost and frankly didn't care. I think Yuri needs to study this cleanse a bit more before comparing it to drinking orange juice. Thumbs down on this video.

  • I have done the Master Cleanse twice. I use Grade B organic Maple Syrup which actually has tons of natural minerals in it. Cayenne is also very cleansing and helps with any inflammation in the body. Lemons are extremely cleansing as well. I do lose weight during the cleanse but I do it as a cleanse rather than to drop weight. I recommend it. :)

  • cleansing for weight loss is a bad idea...cleansing for the purpose of "cleansing" is completely different...reducing acidity levels, healing ulcers,reversing/healing digestive/allergic symptoms are all very good reasons to cleanse your digestive system.

  • id rather not be cleansed than drink lemon, maple syrup, and cyan pepper...ew

  • what about fruit (sugar)? spikes insulin?

  • @rui27marne your body has a balance it has to maintain between sugar and insulin. They balance each other out. When you ingest sugar, your body secretes insulin to account for that.

  • @rui27marne whole fruits don't spike insulin but supposedly grains do. If you are insulin resistant (ie type 2 diabetes) then you should avoid even fruits for a while until the resistance has rest in a few months.

  • @imnotabear whats ur diet like daily? thanks

  • 80/10/10 is a sustainable long term cleanse / lifestyle! :)

  • do you have to eat with this? or just juice as food?

  • I really could feel your negative attitude towards this master cleansing diet through my screen! Great ;-) That's what people don't want to hear but need to hear when they need to go through such a process of changing their lifestyle for better health. Oh wait - how to you keep out "change" from the sentence? Right - doesn't work.

  • @timmothey I agree with you. I can feel his negative attitude too. Order for peolpe to understand the Master Cleanse they need to read the Master Cleanse Book. Take care and God bless

  • " Chapter 1 :

For the novice and the advanced student alike, cleansing is basic for the elimination of every kind of disease. The purpose of this book is to simplify the cause and the correction of all disorders, regardless of the name or names..."

A few pages later, the author also states that the master cleanse was first created for the healing of stomach ulcers.

I respect your opinion, but think it's false information to say the master cleanse is only for weight loss.

  • yeah that salt is gross...

  • @yelkaim1 keep in mind the master cleanse was not meant as a fat loss diet but as a cleasing program to remove the toxins. Did any of you read the original work of the master cleane's author???

  • i don't see why this is so hard to understand for so many people... use your brains, people. it's common sense.

  • Great work

  • what if you do this as a kick off to a diet?

  • @peace2sign taking in too few calories is only going to reduce your metabolism (by losing weight). Diets are really not beneficial unless you plan to maintain them. The best solution for losing weight while also increasing your health and metabolism is to eat healthier on a daily basis. When you do that, a kick-off is neither favourable nor is it required.

  • @peace2sign

dont you get, you are never supposed to do any diet at all!?!

Diet always implies a limited duration.

the ONLY thing in the universe that really helps, is changing your complete diet forever.

whenever you go back to previous habits, you will always regain EVERYTHING.
