"send jews to madagascar": from today's perspective it may seem antisemitic but it was not. the delegation to the madagascar island was composed of some poles but also by polish jews and jews already established in palestine. the outcome was : the island is too small. the reason for this was that the immigration laws in palestine made immigration harder, not because poland wanted to get rid of them.
