I agree that there needs to be more transparency in the voting system. Especially with the use of machines. They need to be open for inspection by the public (source code, hardware etc.) and there needs to be more checks and balances in the human elements of the system. However, until there's evidence of foul play drop the conspiracy theories. They don't help the cause. We need to start by pointing out the problems that are easy to prove (there's lots of them).

Ron Paul has explained several times why he won't run on a third party ticket. He did run on the third party ticket in 1988 and lost, the current system isn't really set up for a major third party. It's a huge gamble, and most people refuse to vote outside their party anyways.
He would have to give up his Congressional seat in order to switch his party and run on a third party ticket. He's one of the few politicians in DC actually fighting for the people's best interests.

i live in the UK but i will be flying into USA to support Ron Paul in Washington on July 12th 2008.
i do not want to be in the position to tell my kids that i had a chance to make a change and sat on my fat ass & did nothing.
a few hundred bucks in flights and a few days off work are nothing compared to the time and effort Dr. Ron has given to OUR service in his 20 years in congress.
why not use your tax rebate to finance the trip? Put that Bush bribe money to good use

If ron paul was as great as people believe him to be then why isn't he running as an independent. Ralph Nader is running again so why can't Ron run so he can at least keep McCain out of office. When It's all said and done. Ron Voters are gonna go vote McCain in. Nothing new.

Ron Paul has explained several times why he won't run on a third party ticket. He did run on the third party ticket in 1988 and lost, the current system isn't really set up for a major third party. It's a huge gamble, and most people refuse to vote outside their party anyways.
He would have to give up his Congressional seat in order to switch his party and run on a third party ticket. He's one of the few politicians in DC actually fighting for the people's best interests.
It's not over yet. ;)

Ron Paul can do more in one year, than any of these other clowns will do in their whole term. My best friend's grandfather is 89 years old and still builds houses, up on the roof, down in the basement. He does it all, because he is active.
RP is an active cyclist and swimmer, I am not worried about his health at all, Although I agree with you, If someone a little younger had the same message and voting record as Ron Paul I would highly consider him for that reason, but none have such a record
