  • @ at 4:10 the part that it feels sending a message good or bad if you don`t do something something gonna happens to you? Is that what you call karma?

  • I'm here because it's Notch's ringtone.

  • It makes me sick that everyone I know is just sucked in to call of duty or halo, and don't take the time to realize what a REAL game is. Not saying that I dislike call of duty or halo (or any game like that for that matter) it's just I think that the classics have the kind of feel that any other classic has, like final fantasy for example. This game here really changed the way I looked at the classics. If I had never had played this game, I would have never realized how good the classics are.

  • 1:55..best part ever....

  • Three people took a Chocobo beak to the eye.

  • @Rahmz1992 just fucking agreed, if those dislikes werent misclicks, then by god those people are terrible people.

  • Hello childhood.

  • Skyrim was cool. But dogshit compared to this game and other classics as ppl have said.

  • This song makes me sad.

  • Rockooo wiffle riptom tum tum, pijnachi coop gimlis, org com fidsnitch! Wiggle.

  • this brings life to my soul unexplainable beauty an magic i almost cry best game ever hands down

  • FFIX is the best. FFX was the second best, FFVII is the third best, FFVIII is the fourth best. FFVI wasn't that great story and character wise but the music was fantastic.

  • @Raptor8762 (IN MY OPINION)

    FF X = MASTERPIECE

    FF VII = AMAZING

    FF VIII = GREAT

    FF IX = GOOD

  • @YTofGyula

Haha yea if everyone invests $10,- we might convince SQUARE-ENIX to remake the game :)

  • @N0oDLX if i win the lottery, im putting all the money into paying square-enix to redo the graphics and make the music a bit higher quality, but change nothing about the story, a remake would change the characters we know and love

  • @lootship5 Really? I'd say the Story could do with some tidying and added dialogue and scenes for the side characters. I replayed it recently and after they leave Midgard it just seemed so choppy and disorganized.

  • @xkrazydog what game is better than ff7?

  • @blueninjaduck FF IX was far superior than VII when it came to character development, storytelling and Plot. It was also far more refreshing in its twist and complexities. The scenes transitioned seamlessly displaying a solid knowledge and confidence in setting all of which VII lacked.

FFX, altho linear, also had a solid plot and setting with strong character development.

And if your looking for complexity and maturity in a story: Final fantasy Tactics: War of the lions is a better choice.

  • @xkrazydog ok some smoothing out would be required yes, but i just don't think it would be the same without the clunkiness sometimes

  • @lootship5 Good writing always helps. And FFVII needs it very much as well as more dialogue.

Censored cursing and characters with static personality-less conversations doesn't help it. Especially when we're well aware that Square is capable of it.

  • @xkrazydog true, but by changing those things, you would also be changing a major part of the game, do you honestly think cloud would be cloud without some of the personality-less conversations?

  • its the love to the details! youll never find anything like that in newer games! forget the engine or something! the developers do not love their games any more... for them its just a job they have to do... sad.. old good times! :)

  • I certainly think SquareSOFT and Sony set the bar to an unreachable standard with this game... too many games today focus on simplicity and aim to meet the very predominant need for better graphics or more accessible gameplay, which while they do show progress, do not encapsulate what a game is about... very few games today surprise, or mentally challenge, me with an interesting, or even emotional, storyline and it just seems like they have more or less been outright sacrificed to commercialism.

  • @KillaClone0 you should try Heavy Rain, I thought it was fantastic with a gripping story

  • @TheBenLD Heavy Rain was one of the most creative games I played in the current console generation. I enjoyed it, and I'm looking forward to replaying it.

  • All video game composers should pay a portion of their earnings to the estate of Richard Wagner. It's all about Leitmotif.

  • i would enjoy this so much more if i hadnt heard it 9999999999999999999999999999 times while playing the game

  • Ahh, the Golden era of video gaming. This is the most nostalgic thing ever.

  • best game music ever? yeah i think so

  • Hardly ever heard this song at its full because everytime DAMN MOBS HAD TO INTERFERE xD

  • nothing can convey mood quite like music... and every song on this was great. Very emotive.....

  • for some reason it reminds me of disney

  • i played this song in lord of the rings online XD

  • Epic

  • Still own my PS1 and my N64.. ever since I started buying games for them off websites, I haven't touched my Xbox in over a month. The classics are infinitely better then anything any company can produce nowadays. Graphics aren't fucking everything. Back then (Including NES and SNES), it was about making a GOOD game, not about a game that looks realistic.

  • @Eirith i def understand in every way, but at the same time i would want a remake of the good games, like FF7, FF8, etc so they could be experienced to their full potential. Hell, i have a NES and a genesis, and i love those systems, i just feel like a lot of the new games coming out are the same plots or sequels to previous games. There are no refreshing games like there were back then. That's why i totally believe they should remake the GOOD games, which would kick ass compared to new ones.

  • @Eirith then again you play ff7 and its like yeah the people look like boxes but the first cinermatic comes on with the train and your like omg..... is this really a ps1 game

  • eargarsm[cit.]

  • Why does every video have to turn into the xbox fan boy, and the ps3..... ahhhh, broken. lol idk, who cares. I have an xbox. cause my friends had one so I wanted to play with them. Each system is bomb. Get over it and enjoy FF7 :) Besides best game ever is CRAZT TAXI!!!!. lol jk jk still fun game though.

  • This song makes me cry :,)

  • Damn, 3 dislikes? How can anyone not like this beautiful soundtrack? This music, the Main Theme on FF7, is simply beautiful, and heart-warming, I find it to be very calm and relaxing too, and certainly the kind of music that can lift the spirits and get you out of depression. I'd like to think those 3 dislikes were just accidental misclicks even though sadly that may be wrong.

  • How good was/is this game? This game came out almost 15 years ago and the posting of its main theme song still gets regular comments three years after it first got posted. That alone should tell you something.

  • @jgfleet i just played the game for the first time, one of the best rpg i ever played.

  • i still have the orgiinal ps 1 and i hav the original ff7 8 9 with the cases...i lost the lil instruction book that came with them though ={

  • @adamjimo me too but i have them all to be honest i havent even played them yet since i can find them on the PS store,PSP,& nintendo DS,(jus sayin when i said the all i meant FF-FF2-FF3-FF4-FF5-FF6-FF7-FF8-FF9-FF10 this part was for evrybody & in their original cases and wit the books

  • Although, I can't conclude that FF7 is my favorite RPG, I can say it is very deep. The characters are original, the story is entrancing and unexpected, the gameplay is easy to pick up on but hard to master and finally the music score is simply a masterpiece. All in all if I could live my life with just the old consoles and not this new PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii I would. Long live the classics forever!

  • @FF9master

hell ya i would be fien with ps1 and older consoles

  • @meow3636

I just have PS2 and that's all I need to be happy. :P

  • @FF9master long live PS2!

  • @FF9master I think the action games and shooters have gotten better on the next gen consoles. However, the quality of the rpgs out are nothing compared to the ps1 and ps2. All the good rpgs are coming out on the psp and ds.

  • @FF9master amen

  • thumbs up!

  • This isn't the main theme, this is the pre-meteor world map theme.

  • They need to write Final Fantasy as a book...I have so much respect for this game. If I had full say on my children's names, I name him Vincent and I'd name her Aeris.

  • FF7 is like an epic dream. Only difference it's real in form of a game.

  • I love this game, I don't require a remake but it would be lovely. Brilliant game with up to date graphics and refined music. Not changed, just glossed.

  • it's a shame the old codecs are so hard to get now, could do with a remake to bring it up to current tech level

  • How the hell could anyone dislike this?! Regardless of the game or not, this is an amazing composition... I'd say it has the best soundtrack of all, followed by X!

  • final fantasy 7 is the best game EVER....i never would have known about it if my brother had never shown me it. It has been at the top of my list since age 5

  • top 5 rpg's

    1 FFVII

2 Fallout 3 and new vegas

    3Elder ScrollS 4 Oblivion

    4Elder Scrolls 2 Daggerfall

    5FFX

Final fantasy 7 will always be the best and will have the best music of all time

  • this is by far one of the most epic awe inspiring songs to me.. at the time of this game and song i went through so much. it will always havw a place in my heart. long live finalfantasy seven...

  • Comment removed

  • I love the games that people call "old" but to me this game will never get old its always in my mind and the music is always on my mp3 or cell =) This game and Legend of the Dragoon was my favorite classic ps1 games LIVE 4 EVER FF

  • If I suddenly was given three wishes from a genie in a bottle, the first one would be that I would be able to forget the storyline of this game on demand so that I could relive it whenever I felt like. The second wish would be stopping pollution or something like that.

  • Im learning how to play ff7 music on my guitar so that these memories stay with me forever. Fucking love this game.

  • yeah, I totally agree. I really liked MGS 1. I liked MGS 2, 4 and 3 as well, but MGS 1 stands out the most in my memory, maybe because it was the first one I played. Very atmospheric and emotional. Especially the music. Fun gameplay. Also, I like Japanese character design. Japanese characters are less realistic (think Solid Snake vs. Sam Fisher) but more striking, in my humble opinion. Ultimately, I think us gamers just want to have fun while playing a game. Old games did that well.

  • ff8 is my FAV but not gna lie ff7 probz is the best 1

  • Cloud Strife Will Always Be My #1 Hero In My Childhood. Thank God Squaresoft Made The Best RPG Game Ever Created. If Only They Remake The Game On PS3. :)

  • jeez i remember when my mum took me to the shop when i was a small child and i was allowed to buy 1 new game for my new playstation ... i wanted resident evil 2 but i guess my mum didnt like the age rating so i chose something cool looking with a meteor on the front instead. Thank you mum xx

  • I can't believe someone saying Cid is not good xDDD I love him... Well, actually, all the characters because of their stories.

  • My constant team was always Nanaki and Vincent. Sometimes Cid cause he's that cool. They're just the best, and most of the other characters aren't as awesome.

Sephiroth is probably my favorite villain of all time, though.

  • This Song Makes My Heart Melt ... x D

  • Final Fantasy I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII and IX are my favorite ones. Yay for defeating Garland/Chaos, fucking emp up, defeating light with darkness and darkness with light, changing yourself and changing the world with it, saving the world from nothingness (and a warlock dressed like a teapot), overcoming yourself and defeating the clown, overthrowing the god, defeating the fanatical sorceress with the power of love, overcoming the bond of brotherhood (kinda), whatever not! All hail FF!!!

  • You know what I dislike about this game? Cid, Barret, Cait Sith and Yuffie. Everything else is GOOD.

  • @zxscd So you're like me? I only used Cloud, Tifa, Aerith, and Vincent in battle. xD

  • I've never played any of the Tales of Symphonia. I might check that out. I liked the battle systems of FF7, 9 and 10. Drawing magic in FF8 was tedious and the junction system was too complicated. I liked FF8's story, characters and universe, but playing the game wasn't as much fun as playing FF7 or 10.

  • i need a Final Fantasy 7 remake for PS3

  • Wow, that's cool! :)

  • i wish they remake ff7.

  • nice song

  • No game has approached FFVII - it's characters and story are still the most loved in the history of video games.

  • still have the game and ps1 great game cost me a lot of hours!

  • again i fell asleep on slow sences like this very relaxing music final fantasy 7 and 8 rules im a download all these themes and make a nice cd to lissen to whlie tryin to sleep hehehe :D

  • nostolgia taking over!!!!!!!!!! i want my childhood back!

  • @SuperCockism

    agreed

  • FF-FFX = Made by squaresoft = GODLIKE FREAKING EPIC WIN!

IV V VI VII and X will always be the best final fantasy games in history!

  • @Dragynn999 You're missing IX in your little calculation.

  • @zarados10

Nah... I didn`t like IX that much. It was good, but not able to become one of my favourite FFs.

  • @Dragynn999

    Certainly is one of mine~

  • @Dragynn999 wat bout ff9 i loved tht it had an ff7 feel to it :P

  • @ClansmenUchiha

The game was good, but not good enough to become one of my alltime favourites. Idk why...

  • @Dragynn999 It's funny how people have different tastes. FF7 is by far my favorite RPG. I even don't understand how anyone could feel differently. The characters, story and the gameplay! Especially the gameplay. Excellent pacing. Always throwing something unexpected at you. Dress Cloud like a woman, sneak into a corporation, beat bad guys on a motorcycle... always something unexpected. I thought Midgar was the whole world. I was shocked when I got out.

  • @ivorianstriker But I prefer FFX more than this. FFX had much better graphics than this, but i don't judge a game by its graphics. Its the storyline that makes the gameplay worthwhile and although FFX might not have had those unexpected events happening, the storyline was simply beautiful and I could say the same for the music too. FFVII in my opinion was very good and is number two on my favourite games of all time.

I think that Squaresoft made the best FF Games, SquareEnix dusnt hav da effect

  • @MrExtremeFail FF10 was great, I agree. It's definitely my second favorite Final Fantasy after 7. I agree, FF10's story was great. It was unique and well-told. I'm a huge fan of FF10's battle, abilities and level up system. They all worked well. I'm currently playing FF9, and I'm enjoying it. I tried it twice before but didn't like it. And yes, I agree that SquareEnix hasn't made any good Final Fantasy's. 13 was terrible, in my humble opinion.

  • @ivorianstriker I believe the series ended with Final Fantasy 10 which was the last great one they made, after that they just got too MMO. I love Final Fantasy 10, it manages to pull off a moving storyline like the PS1 titles, I think it was a huge challenge and risk trying to create such a classic title for a new console such as the PS2, but they did it so well. But 7, 8 and 9 will probaly always be my favorites as I grew up with them. Although Crisis Core and Tactics for PSP are just perfect.

  • @ex0genesis I agree with you, FF10 was the last great Final Fantasy. I've never played the MMO ones (FF11 and 14), and I didn't like FF12. I also grew up with 7 and 8 (and am currently playing IX). I heard a lot of good things about FF Tactics. I'll definitely try that out soon.

  • @ivorianstriker tactics is amazing one of my favorite games ever

  • @Ninada23 Wow, it's that good, huh? I have to try it soon. :)

  • @ivorianstriker yea def is plus * spoiler* you can get cloud in it :)

  • @ivorianstriker yes FF10 was the last and I daresay it will never be the same again. :(((((

  • @shinkle4 I liked FF10 also. It had good gameplay and a nice story. Yep, I haven't played a good one since FF10.

  • @ivorianstriker To be honest I prefer the battle systems of final fantasy 8 and 9. final fantasy 7's story is amazing and timeless but as an overall package i think Tales of Symphonia has it beat for the #1 RPG spot. TOS's storyline was though different on the same level of FF7 and the gameplay was just that bit more enjoyable then the gameplay of pretty much all final fantasy titles. Unfortunately the sequel sucked but the original Tales of Symphonia rules!

  • @ivorianstriker

The characters ruined the game. They were more cliche than cliche.

    Cloud is emo.

    Barret is Mr. T.

Tifa is the big breasted support

    Aeris is Juliet

    Sephiroth is generic bad guy.

Story and gameplay were good though.

  • @Kytherno When I first played FF7, I was about 13 years old. So I didn't think the characters were cliche. But I understand what you're saying.

  • @ivorianstriker

So true, I have been playing Tales of Vesperia recently and I was so happy because it is so similar to FF7, both in story, characters and pacing.

  • @ivorianstriker

Oh yeah, and I only played this game in Summer '09 when I was 13, I absolutely fell in love with the game, despite it being well over 10 years old I was hooked, stayed in all summer playing it =')

  • Oh I know the feeling of stepping out of Midgar.

I couldn't believe my eyes & wandered around for quite a bit.

This game is possibly one of the greatest even in today's time.

  • @ivorianstriker that is true!!! as an 8 year old when i first played this game i thought thats it im out of midgar i beat the game.....but little did i know, there is a whole world out there i had to explore....it was amazing. a theme park in the desert, cosmo canyon. floating around for hours on end with the tiny bronco in shallow water, the temple of ancients, and the biggest challenge of all is the 4 weapons. FF7 is and will always be my favourite game. as it was part of my childhood :')

  • @ivorianstriker Im hoping for the remake.

If they dont announce it soon ill buy the Playsation store version

  • @JBushred I would love to play a remake or a sequel.

  • @JBushred they r actually tri n to remake it for the PSP kinda lik CRISIS CORE

  • @ivorianstriker

Amen to that man, amen to that.

Although I must say, FFIX wasn't half bad either ;) But nothing comes close to FFVII

  • @ivorianstriker 7 without doubt! But also Loved 10 and 14.....But 7......WUD love if they made a movie dat was EXACT same as the game and 100 hours long hahahahaha :)

  • @ivorianstriker

same dude amazing game I loved the different slum locations and sneakign into shinra great characters story and gameplay even though ff8 was my first ff i still didnt love ff like I do intill i played 7 and getting out of midgar was pimp

  • ..ME TOO!

  • THIS GAME WILL NEVER GET OLD FOR ME!

  • @3032Mandy same

  • I actually just sat on the world map and let this play for a few hours today, it is that fucking good. God Bless a game this grand.

  • @neutralcartman2 I used to do that too, haha.

  • ahhh this music, everytime i listen to it, not just this song, any song from final fantasy 7...

It just strikes an emotion in my mind that can't even be explained...

  • @slipslooosh I fully agree, if more people played games like this and sonic and ratchet and clank the world would be a better place.

  • @gottagofast1 Hey man, sonic? really?

  • @slipslooosh Well not necessarily Sonic or Ratchet and Clank but I'm talking about games like this were it has extreme gameplay, good characters and a deep story.

  • @gottagofast1

God damn Halo, Gears of War, Resistance and all the other crap that comes out these days.

  • @brendude95 I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed FF7 even though it was 10 years old. I agree, there are too many FPSs in this generation of games.

  • @ivorianstriker

Yeah it was great, personally I don't think it was that much of a graphical achievement on the PS1, and I find it very hard getting into older games on the SNES / PS1 that I haven't played before. But there is something about this game that won me over, by the time I had met Tifa I knew I wasn't going to put this game down for the whole summer.

  • @ivorianstriker

And yes I hate games this generation, it's not the fact they are shooters, they just completely lack any sort of substance.

I would say the key for a great game is a stunning soundtrack with everything from soft melodies to pumping rock tunes, a great art direction and a highly detailed world, even pacing with moments of relaxing, a powerful atmosphere, an interesting story that keeps you coming back, challenging and unique gameplay.

I could go on and on.

  • @ivorianstriker

I could go on and on about the little details that make a game great, but all I know is that they aren't present in most of the games this generation. It is easier to achieve with a JRPG because they tend to have a melodramatic story and a unique art direction, but JRPG's aren't everyone's preferred choice. It can be achieved in action games though.

  • @ivorianstriker

For example Resident Evil 1 - 4, these games were very challenging and contained a lot of puzzles, the game also revolved heavily around using items as well. The pacing was also great, there were times where you could relax and know you weren't about to have your head bitten off. The atmosphere was extremely eerie and you always felt alone. The design of the mansion and Raccoon City and also the creepy music made the game great.

  • @brendude95 I agree with everything you said. I also played Resident Evil 1-4 (and 5 and Code Veronica). The PS1 games were special. Great art direction and backgrounds. I also like having moments of relaxation in games, like when I'm exploring a town or the characters are talking in an inn. There aren't many moments like that in today's games. I hope game developers rediscover the things we liked about old games.

  • @ivorianstriker

So true, another example I use is MGS, the game was very emotional and atmospheric.

  • @ivorianstriker yes i agree with you friend. especially the relaxing part. just relaxing in a bar talking about nothing to do with the story just messing around. sleeping in an inn and having dreams. going to the item store to buy a bunch of junk. hell. man the good ole days. hey these kind of games mean a lot to me. more so than most stuff. dont get me wrong i like stuff like oblivion and dragon age. But its the final fantasy 7 and chrono trigger's that made me really love games Peace:)

  • @JiuClaw22 I absolutely agree.

  • @ivorianstriker There was something magical about the games back in the day. There was motivation and desire to literally create whole worlds and stories conveying deep emotional bonds in mysterious worlds. They used to bring dream worlds to life. If i had the option to live in these worlds and melt away with the serenity, then so be it.

  • @theuberserge I absolutely agree. Well said.

  • @brendude95 Yeah it's a shame, thing is though true gamers would like FF, Sonic, Ratchet and Clank, Zelda, Mario, etc. Rather than that stupid war/army propaganda that they dish out these days.

  • @gottagofast1

    Yeah I know, it's irritating

  • @brendude95 And the worst part is they say games like this aren't as good. If only they knew what they where talking about. Before it was HEADSHOT it was CRITICAL HIT

  • @gottagofast1

Haha! Yes well said! They don't know what they are talking about. They think they are "hardcore gamerz", but they are inexperienced simple minded little kiddies who have no idea what a game is.

Hate to start a console war here, but they literally all own an XBOX 360.

  • @brendude95 Hey if that's not bad enough some total ass hacked PSN and now, if I wanted to I can't download FFVII. Not only that but the X360 fans are going crazy. Personally I'm not interested in fighting I just want PSN back up. I'm neutral when it comes to consoles. I try to like all games, but there are some games I don't like.

  • @gottagofast1

XBOX 360 fans are dicks, let them play their simple minded games on their poorly built system. They call themselves "gamers", but I highly doubt they are, playing Halo does not mean you are a true gamer at all.

Anyway, XBOX Live goes down more often and longer so they are completely hypocrites. XBL was down for me for 2 weeks recently because of incompatiblities with my ISP, it affected a LOT of people and Microsoft half assed fixing it.

  • @brendude95 its funny how u say our system is poorly built but the PSN is still down. you never hear about people hacking xbox live and stealing credit cards. and if someone did, microsoft will tell us on the spot! yall wanted free gaming, well you have it. no matter what you and i say, Xbox will always rule over all!

  • @jamalhyde

Uggh, XBOX 360 fanboys are everywhere!

Yes, OUR system is poorly built, if you used your common sense you would know that I am talking about HARDWARE, not SERVICES, which was crippled by a HACK, not INCOMPETENCE.

  • @jamalhyde

"Xbox will always rule over all!"

How much did Bill Gates pay you to say that? Or are you just extremely deluded? And the main question is, why are you on an FFVII video?

Anyway, pull Bill Gate's cock out of your mouth, research what you say before making yourself look like a complete idiot and you might actually be able to put up an intelligent argument.

Anyway, if you are a true gamer and not some Halo obsessed 8 year old, you know which console is the best.

  • @brendude95 lmao! this is too funny! stop taking this serious! halo is a good game, not the best. i already sold it so life goes on. i love the final fantasy franchise and always will love what square enix does. so just calm down and stop the gay crap man. get on with your life. its just games.....

  • @jamalhyde

    "stop taking this serious!"

Said the person who started this little argument.

    "halo is a good game"

    I beg to differ.

"i love the final fantasy franchise"

Seriously? You seem a little too immature to be a Final Fantasy fan. An XBOX 360 fanboy who pokes immature insults at the Playstation and then tells the other person to calm down?

JRPG lover and an XBOX 360 fanboy is quite an odd mix in my opinion.

  • @gottagofast1

Anyway, it will be back up soon. Give it a day or two and you can play this awesome game =(.

  • @brendude95 The worst part is that they say games like this are mediocre, if only they knew what they were talking about. Before it was headshot it was critical hit

  • @gottagofast1

Thanks for bringing me back to this video...Can't stop listening =)

  • when i die, please just bring me to the land of final fantasy,my one wish

  • @zyklon20 that is one amazing wish man.

  • @zyklon20 my only wish is that they make a remake of ff7 for the ps3.

  • @papiiuenvy186 HEACK YEAH!!!

  • THIS IS DEFINITELY THE #1 GAME OF ALL TIME IN FRONT OF ELDER SCROLLS SERIES AND HALO SERIES

  • @argonianskullmagnet I don't know about Elder Scrolls, but a piece of shit on video games like the Halo series doesn't even compare to a game with superiority of this magnitude that is Final Fantasy VII. This is a fucking masterpiece, Halo is a beginner's FPS that only 10 year olds play, but even then, the game sucks.

  • best game ever : ) so epic

  • best game ever it brings bak memory :( it makes me cry i used to love this game still do :( x

  • cloud has a BIG sword.. ;)

  • @RotaryPoweredRX if someone has a big sword then they have to have a small sword to compensate, get what i mean... (srry i just had too)

  • @shotgunguyy Sometimes it isnt compensating though, some people are just big :)

  • @RotaryPoweredRX airith has a big... hmm rod? ;)

  • This is awesomee.love this game

  • This game will never die.

  • this would go good with a game ending for credits or a ww2 game after victory or something

  • ahhh this brings bak memorys, ive actually just downloaded it on PSP im proper guna play the heck out of it again LOL :D
