The reason he is speaking slow is because at the finals of Emory all of the good judges are gone and so you have to adapt to ones that aren't that used to fast speaking debaters

and none of you are perceptive enough to realize that the only reason hes speaking kinda slow adn that so many people are watchign is b/c it was the finals of the barkley forum at emory and that greenhill AH was one of the top teams last year. how many of you were in semis of the TOC last year?
Ok, that's not slow, that's just not really fast like the description says it is. I mean, if you were just having an ordinary conversation and somebody started talking like that, you'd think he was crazy. But yeah, in policy that's not that fast.

Most of the good policy judges are gone and hte point of hte Barkley Forum is that you speak in front of multiple kinds of judges.
