  • Thnku :)

  • Lov the song who sings it

  • @nkisa1 Ice Cube and Dr Dre "Natural Born Killers

  • Never knew about Dennis Smith until this vid. Now I respect the hell out of him

  • @reganisUPshaw Dennis Smith is a Student of Jack Tatum an "A" Student I might add... Dennis Smith actually commented on this video, I almost cried LOL LOL...he's on the early early comments. Yeah D Smith is the Man.

  • great video! My fav hitters gotta go TATUM, D.LANE, S.TAYLOR

  • when great hitters talk about tackling people talk about levels you have to hit a couple of levels behind your opponent, dennis smith mastered that look at clip 2:00. perfect example

  • @theman1819 Got to appreciate THE MAN that respects Dennis Smith... You are the MAN!! I Salute You!

  • dam peoples getin cracked in this vid haha

  • @sportsprint1229 Hater.

  • Great video!!! But where the hell is Jack Lambert? C'mon man!!!!!

  • @fireman75ification I gave him his own Part in Voume II I never forget the great ones...He needed his own part and I'm a Raven Fan and still gave Jack his props...LOL! Peace Fireman 75

Hardcore Football "The Hitters" Volume 2

  • @soulbrotherlegendary Right ON!! Thanks man! I've been a Steelers fan since I was a kid. Still remember watching those 70's Steelers with my Pops. Good memories my friend. Thanks for the videos. Much respect!!

  • @sportsprint1229. I think both of your Fathers worked on this together...You test Tube Baby!

  • News came out today that hits like this are now worthy of a suspension.

  • @NapalmHipster Word??

  • @soulbrotherlegendary

Yes, sir. The NFL's VP Ray Anderson released a statement today to the AP. It's all over Google and ESPN. To be fair, the press release specifically mentions helmet-to-helmet hits, but then mentions the Dunta Robinson hit on DeSean Jackson. As far as I could tell, Jackson was hit in the chest, not the head.

  • @NapalmHipster I read it right after I left your post...I don't mind the suspensions because I see that you can still make big hits for the hardcore fans w/o using your helmet. I am the #1 Tatum, Lott, Dennis Smith Fan but today is different. When my son played football and he was a BIG HITTER, but I used to be terrified that he would put somebody or himself in a wheel chair, I was so happy when he retired last year, and this is coming from a Hardcore DAD..

  • Its motherfucking football time bitch!!!!!!!!

  • R.I.P. jack tatum

  • R.I.P. Jack "The Assassin" Tatum

  • Chuck Cecil Packers Head Hunter.....WE wanna see some of HIM.

No footage on the internet anywhere

  • @PQXLR I want some Chuck Cecil Footage bad, if I come across some I'll let you know..

  • Aaaah...............90s rap. the good ol days. love football too so great video.

  • Nice clips.Kudo's on the Bednarik/Gifford hit in 1960!Probably one of the most viscious tackles ever!

    Next time....More LT,Lambert,Nitschke,Sam Huff,Mike Curtis,and,alot more the greatest of all time...DICK BUTKUS!!!!

    The music?

    Sucks balls

  • Lambert is on Volume II...I noticed that you didn't mention any brothers, what LT are you talking about Len Thomas from Australia?? R&B and Hip Hop Sucks WOW! thats evil but I bet you $5000 Dollars you don't hate Al Green or Rakim, I bet you $10k you like James Brown..todays r&b/rap I agree it sucks.

  • @soulbrotherlegendary

I like Chuck Berry,Jimi Hendrix,War,Little Richard,Marvin Gay,alot of Motown etc..Don't know who Rakim is and I don't like Al Green...Next time try The Ace of Spades by Motorhead,The Trooper by Iron Maiden, and Young Mans Blues by The Who...Especially the live version from the Isle of Wight in 1970.More viscious and warriorlike,IMHO...

LT is Lawrence Taylor and I did'nt know this was a racial thing with you.How 'bout some Willie Lanier,Curly Culp,Deacon Jones?

  • Nothing Racial my man, just a hint of racial humor nothing that will cause a riot or spiritual pain, we are good. I'm going to listen to every song you put up there. Jimi? Marvin? Willie Lanier? You have Wide Range my Man for sure. I'm on those songs I'll get back after I take a listen, thanks for the comment! PEACE

  • HARDCORE HITTERS II "Get that Fool!" feat. Lynch, Ray Lewis, Lambert, Night Train, etc. is coming 2/25/10...I tried to get all the Hitters you guys requested but some footage is hard to obtain...Peace!!

  • Thank YOU!! please tell me theres some sean taylor

  • Awesome will look forward to it

  • Good hits, but i think you should have given "Night Train" Lane some recognition.

  • @toxicnacho what you mean there where lots of night train hits

  • Part II is on the Way "Night Train" is Featured. Thanks for the Inspiration!

  • And i agree with the guy who wanted more Jack Lambert on this video. LT (Lawrence Taylor) too!!!

  • Lambert is coming on Part II in the next couple of days...LT didn't make it though. Check for it, Harcore Hitters II "Get that Fool!"

  • I can see where people have a problem with too much rap music on YouTube videos------but only cuz rap music today is so f***ing shitty! and thats all u hear on YouTube---Losers like Soulja boy and Lil wayne. Natural Born Killaz is real rap from a real rap era. And nothing else could be more perfect for this video!!!!!!

  • "Fuck charlie manson!- hit'm with a brik and I'm dansin'"- lol my fav.

  • wow they slow down the first hit thats the immaculate reception and it actually hits jack tatum first so it was a legal play

  • 2 :30

that was the best crip walk i've seen n my life

  • Sweeeeet! Thanks for addding the B & W clips also!

  • Current helmet to helmet and spearing rules make many of these hits illegal today.

  • a lot of ronnie lotts hits where pretty clean though

  • 3:46-3:50 looks like what I do to kids

  • Comment removed

  • 3:55 brings back memories

  • 0:45 immaculate reception.

  • these guys are fucking lunatics!! oh my god!!! when i see NFL these days most of the players actually get up after tackles...... not back then.. looks like there gunna die 5 mins after

  • cool adding the lil kid in video

  • DAMN THAT HIT BYE STEVEIE AT 1:06 WAS THE HARDEST HIT EVER MAN!!! HAHAHA okoye is 3 times bigger and better than jerome bettis and still gets knocked

  • Ronnie Lott****GREATEST SAFETY EVER****

  • J-Bazz laid that dude OUT homey!

  • I am just happy to be mentioned among the greatest DB's of all time. I patterned my game after Tatum, Played with Lott and Atwater. Those were the days. Nowadays we would of been fined thousands every week for just playing hard. Thanks for the memories, Nice Video!! DS49

  • "D" Smith It is more than an honor for you to see this and enjoy it..You are the Truth!! I know what time it is, My favorite D Smith hit is the one you put on Roosevelt Potts and gave that fool the spaghetti legs, he's still shook up!..just like the Tyson and Berbick KO..You still had some cat scared at the old school game @ the pro bowl, when my son see's this he's going to lose his mind

    Thanks

  • yaa.... they have made todays football so shitty becuz lil bitches complained cuz they were getting hit not realizing ITS FOOTBALL

  • jack tatum is a goon lol love dat guy

  • 1:14 nice clothesline

  • I've seen another video that has about a hundred different music songs to it... but this video (and song) is the best on youtube I've seen, hands down. Tatum, Atwater, Lott... assassins. To play back then was pretty much suicidal, much less having legally paid homicidal psychopaths ready to put you in an early grave. Damn I wish I was born in '64 and not '74. :[

  • Thanks TJ Stevens,

you came with this compliment at the time when I needed to hear it the most...now I'm inspired and fired up to finish this project at work...

    Peace

  • tatum is in the hall of fame

  • Damnnn lmaoo, Jack Tatum is just shittin on dudes! Beast!

  • Tatum and Atwater should both be in the Hall Of Fame...no question

  • 2:50. holy shit lol

  • jack tatum was the meanist guy who ever played da game.

i wish these hits were still legal they wer wat made football great

  • way to represent dennis smith people now just do not know how much of a bad ass he was

  • Cats are sleeping on Dennis Smith...but the players he hit are well aware of his power...Every now and then they ask a player who hit them the hardest, and D. Smith name will ring...Did you ever see that hit he put on this cat named Roosevelt Potts? It was exactly like Tyson vs Berbick...dazed on Spaghetti Legs

  • Best vid on Youtube, hands down. I have watched this video probably 40 times, lol

  • dude this is the greatest hit video ever!!!!!!! holy shit! u deserve an award for this lol

  • 2 wordz..... BADD ASS!!!!!!!

  • Dude the pussy ass NFL won't even let players hit like this anymore.

  • yea thats bullshit

thats the best part of football and they're taking it away

  • that's a really well edited video. Great song, great hit's. Oh and I love the random pop warner shots thrown in there too. One of the best vids on youtube.

  • whoooooo! ronnie lott!

  • is that earl cambell gettin layed out at :52?

  • yes sir, Earl scored but both of them were knocked out on that play

  • wow

  • If you could see the whole play Campbell shaked the hit off and went in for the touchdown.

  • aye braw u got the video where Jack Tatum paralyzes some guy for the rest of his life

  • naw I don't have that one, The Stingley Family wouldn't dig that too much but actually I've seen it and it is not a devastating hit...it was a simple shot and homey had his head down coming across the middle... and just that quick everybody's life changed forever

  • 2:50 dammmmmmmmmmmmmmm

  • LOVE IT!

    raidaz!!!!!

  • brother that is the best youtube video ive seen...cube and dre...Dennis Smith and Steve Atwater (Bronco fan 4 life)...Ronnie Lott...And yeah I give props to Tatum even though the one hit was on Earl Campbell and Earl took him to the endzone with him...mad props dawg

  • their just kamakazing themselfs into the wide recievers! lol

  • jack tatum was, is, and will always be a baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad man!!!!!! thats the way football should be played. put him in any era and he still a top 2 safety in the game.

  • That 's what I'm talking about....Top 2 All Time in any era..Believe That!!!! Pookey721 I like your style!!

  • not bad for a white boy

  • 2:45 - 2:50 !

    Great video man ! 5/5

  • oh by the way whats this song called??

  • Natural Born Killers by Dr Dre and Ice Cube

  • these are NASTYY great video

  • Great vid/editing to coordinate with the song. I'd say check out some Disturbed if you want a rock song, maybe their song Enemy? Lethal Weaponz by X-Raided may be a good fit for rap. Just some suggestions =]

  • Thanks I really appreciate that, I'm going to look those songs up right now, I'll hit you back...

  • Find them? If so, what did you think?

  • ok, I'm going to stop what I'm doing, neglect all 71,715 viewers, shut down the kids that are happy and take away their hope and dreams just for you and your opinion cuz your words are more important than the Bible, Quran and Torah...its your world, sorry that I'm happy and the ten year old kids are happy, and sorry ICE Cube is alive and he raps, sorry I'm alive and did this video...now please let me enjoy my life

  • new jack theme sweet

  • who was that at 3:50

  • I want to start the next Hard Hits video, I need a hot song...any suggestions????? Any genre except country and western...Got a hot song ht me up

  • try Here Comes The Boom

  • Can't Wait til next video, serious impacts!

  • I'm trying to put something together in the next week...I need an idea for a song that adds to the big hits...Any suggestions? I'm open, any genre, rap or rock...

hit me back if you got some songs

  • Most of those Tatum hits would be illegal today leading with his head going helmet to helmet like that. He was border line dirty.

  • Where's Dick Butkus, Jack Lambert, Jack Ham or any of the best?

I did enjoy seeing the Canes' clips.

  • They coming Kooly next video...Peace

  • Lambert and Ham where among the best as was Lawrence Taylor, but non where really hitters. You want hitters, Chuck Cecil, Karl Kassulke..not to mention the ones on the video.

  • gran bel video!

  • my god i hate rap, i dont think i could ever put into words just how much i fucking hate rap. Its stupid fucking pointless 'music'. Jesus christ, every single fucking sports video. I come to watch some awesome hits, and i only get to half enjoy it cause of this shit, where the fuck is the metal and hardcore? Is it not more suiting? Jesus Christ i cant wait till this shallow bullshit fad of music dies out.

  • OK.....

  • shut up man u sound so musiclly ignorant talking about rap like that so stop talking out your ass

  • ronnie lott is #1

  • the one at 3:48 is nice

  • Great video, damn wicked hits. I could watch hits like that all damn day.

  • where's Dick Butkus?

  • Vid was tight but you sprinkle a little "DEACON JONES" on there and you got a classic...

@fruticetum: Get outta here wit that played out racism shit...

  • The Deacon will be coming next! Don't You Worry I got cha!

  • those midgets were crazy!

  • im a chiefs fan but i respect the hell out of steve atwater he was always everwhere growing up listening to the donks play us thats all you heard atwater for the tackle atwater interception atwater throws for 350 lol

  • wats da song

  • Jack Tatum is the man!!!

  • NIIICCE!!!

  • very well done... glad you included stevve atwater...especially the hit on okoye!

  • jack tatum only was dirt dosnt deserve to played profesional football

  • Jack Tatum was a dirty mutha fucka

  • nice vid man!!

  • Nice Video.. I like the Ronnie Lott stuff..

  • nice video, going to have to favorite this one

  • nice affect at 1:27

  • hey if you can find an extended soundtrack a couple more guys to consider adding along w/ your strong collection: doug plank- a '70's psycho as nasty as tatum. jake scott- safety for great fin teams in '70's, headhunter. Dick 'nite train' lane, the tatum of the '50's. chuck 'concrete charlie' bednarick's shot to frank gifford wh/ almost killed him. dick butkis an obliterator. LT-speed power destruction. ben davidson jaw breaking of namath 3 seconds after whistle. otis sistrunk for good measure.

  • I got some of that Tatum footage from the old NFL crunch course series and NFL's greatest hitters...I agree with you on Tatum all the way...I love his Book my son reads certain sections before his games now...I appreciate Tatum in the Hall comment I'm still pushing for that!

  • soulbro... the tag link that works better for the dempsey clip i referenced on youtube search is: jack dempsey to victory .. check it out, the dude only weighed 192 at 6"1 yet still holds record for most 1st rd ko's for a heavy, 27! ... tyson is 2nd was just over 22. that footage is very rare, goes back to 1919-1927. in the willard fight he broke the guys cheek, jaw, nose, 3 ribs, 4 tooth & ruptured his ear drum permantly, all in 110 degree outdoor heat. old school.theres footage of it on clip.

  • I know you are the real deal cuz every hitter you just named I'm trying to get footage on now...I love Tatum but slowly but surely Nighttrain Lane is moving closer to my #1 spot...Who do you think was the most vicious Lane or Tatum?? Did you see the Most Feared Tacklers of all time Special on NFL Network...a little inconsistant, Tatum was #6 and everybody said he should have been #1

  • soulbro.its a real hard call.i'm not old enough to have actually seen lane play but ive seen several clips, talked to people who saw him & have read about him.simply said, he was a force. more of a lott i think then a tatum. bigger more physical guy, perhaps stronger on the run. but as far as dismembering wr's i still think tatum takes the throne. though i must say plank & scott were close, just didnt have tatum's volume or pure rage of impact. tatum wasnt all that big, but b/c of timing, cont..

  • & cobra like coiled strength, the dude just exploded into people like a bomb. i'm a boxing fan & if you go back & read jack dempsey's & bruce lee's takes on how to maximize power & leverage, a lot of it correllates w/ what tatum was doing w/ weight distribution from the legs thru the point of impact. put in dempsey 300 in youtube search for an amazing & rare old school montage, you'll see what i mean. tyson before tyson.

  • finally, i didnt see special on nfl network, tatum shouldve been rated higher. at least 4. another guy im reading about was the lb Hardy Brown from the '50's. this guy was a maniacal killer. came out of a texas orphan school b/c he witnessed his dad kill himself. played at tulsa & then in the nfl became the most feared of his era. took out over 30 players in one season. ended several careers. he flamed out w/ anger issues at end of his career but in prime scary. have yet to see a clip though.

  • kelvinloud, check out the clips that begin at 2:15 and 2:22. That's Night Train Lane #81 just graveling and leveling the opposition.

He was HUGE for a defensive back. Today, he would probably be....yeah, anything he wanted to be.

  • public, thanks for headsup.. those were both very destructive hits... just blows up both guys entire bodies... lane was big even by todays standards for a cb.. people too many times automatically assume players from the '50's-'70's were much smaller.. sure on avg they were, but there were a decent amt of guys w/ modern day size.. jim brown, butkis, czonka, b buchanon, c culp & many others could easily walk into todays game & have no problem w/ size.

  • where were you able to find all this great footage? havent seen some of that tatum footage in years. the guy should be in the hall, but he so epitomized raider ball & terrorized wr's hes too much of an outlaw to get in. tatum's book is most savage pro sport book ive ever read. being an old school fan, his insights players of his era are revealing. he said the one wr you couldnt intimidate was paul warfield & czonka was that hardest hittin rb. as a fin fan i respected tatum for that honesty.

  • well made video.. its nice to see respect paid to old school players. a fact most people under 40 dont get: the nfl of late 50's-70's= unique era, the players were getting much more athletic then 'pre '60's, yet still had open season latitude w/ rules. you could literally club, forearm, head slap, smash past sidelines, go low, hit much later, lead w/ the helmet & obliterate a qb after release. all legal, by the mid '70's it was pure mayham. they werent as big or fast then, but certainly tougher.

  • Hey, Mr. Soulbrotherlegendary, I forgot to mention to you what a great artistic job you did putting this all together the last time I commented !!! I thought the music fit the images and I told my co-workers to check it out! When real men walked the Earth and went by the name JACK TATUM. Oh, and J-Bazz just looked BOLD. Obviously, his dad has him going in the right direction. Anyway, Happy Thanksgiving and good luck with the future videos !! #32 SMACK

  • Thanks again, your comments keep me focused, You and your family have a wonderful holiday as well, My son J-Bazz is smiling right now too, he says thank you.

  • 2:20 <--- :-O

  • lol. natural born killers lol

  • lynch was and still is a monster.

  • WOW...this cat spliced the Dub C crip into this video that's craaazy lol.

  • A lot of those hits was Gangsta with bad intentions, ya dig! Whoowee!

  • Hitting is now banned in the NFL. John Lynch retired and he was the "Last of the Mohicans" as far as hard hitters.

  • This is the First time in my life that I can actually say that Truth Hurts, literally...Lynch is the last

  • what about Sheldon Brown, Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, and that safety Clark from the steelers? these new rules to make the game safe are mere suggestions than mandatory law

  • Shit, this was a great video !! I saw Jack Tatum play, man, and he was a killer. He was taught the "ground hog" which is where you hit the wide receiver at his feet/ankles while the poor WR is in the air trying to catch a pass. Ronnie was great, yeah, but NOBODY scared the crap outta people like Jack did. Again, great video clips, I'm gonna go throw down on my neighbor !!

  • This indeed is the best comment on the page for me personally, I'm a Jack Tatum fan, you see I had my son J Bazz in #32 with the mad afro when he was 8 years old...I see you read They call me Assassin! You are a true Jack Cat glad to meet ya! He is a Hall of Famer to the people for us!...Thanks Man appreciate the comment

  • i see u got a future J-Tatum huh? it would be sweet if your son could do the ground hog on some kid lol. your boy is a hitter too so he's not putting shame in the #32. dope vid!

  • Tatum's number is being retired at his high school on thanksgiving this year. i'm not from his town, but mine plays his every year

  • Tatum or Lott? That's a hard one...Lott was the bigger guy, I'd say he hit with a bit more force...but Tatum was an absolute killer...hard to be more relentless than Lott, but if anybody ever was, Tatum was that guy. The man was just nasty, and easily one of the top 3 hardest hitters of all time.

  • Awesome Vid !!! watching ronnie lott at USC back in the Day is what made me want to play Strong Saftey !!!!

some good hitting going on in this vid !!!!

  • Strong Safety, You are the Real Deal!!! Hitters keep the game alive even though they murder opponents

  • who the fcuck is this jbazz douche?

  • this is an awesome video. i love it lol. what is the name of the song though?

  • Natural Born Killers Ice Cube and Dr Dre from the Death Row Days "Murder was the Case" Soundtrack

  • thank you very much

  • Hardest hitter of all time isn't even in here. Doug Plank of Chicago, a murderous blaste. Ask Jimmy Giles. Kenny Easley loosened a few teeth in his day too.

  • 4:06 I think I'm gonna make it! Phsyc! haha

  • ronnie lott is the best

  • 3:50 was awesome. I would love to do that to someone

  • oh shit, the best video on youtube!!!!!!!

  • Great Video and Great Music Fam.....

  • thanks appreciate that

  • Great vid. Now that's what i call hitting! And Shawn Taylor was the MAN, he'll never be forgotten.

  • It could do without the clips of 5 year old football = grass growing...

  • Jimend09 you're tripping really hard...Ronnie Lott was one of the hardest hitters of all time hands down along with butkus, tatum and atwater. sean taylor, may he rest in peace, was a great football player but not as much of a menacing hitter as the four men above.

  • One of my faves not seen here was the Keith Byers hit on Pepper Johnson.

  • Love it!

And that is why Americans are the baddest fuckers on Earth.

  • at 0:39 was that when jack Tatum paralyzed the guy

  • No that wasnt it, even though it was a HARD hit. The one your referring to was Darryl Stingley.

  • brian dawkins should be on dis one

  • ahem* dick butkus

  • yeah i was waitin for that

    best ever in my opinion

  • Saints hit on the Bears!(3:20)

  • ronnie lott is no not the hardest hitter of all time not even close he was definitly the greatest free safety of all time but both sean taylor and jack tatum hit harder and yes earl campbell is probably one of the best truckers to ever live

  • ronnie lott was a much harder hitter than sean taylor. easily theres no comparison
