For $120k, i'd buy a used BMW 335i Coupe, Vishnu Stage 3 chip.

With the extra $80,000~ i'd buy a lot of weed and In-n-Out and be happy with what i've got.

Most people don't "buy" these cars, they lease them and wait for the next one to come out. Wish I was wealthy haha

I don't like that they took off the ABC suspension and made 4matic mandatory in the US. What if I wanted rear-wheel drive? Dumb move by Mercedes. I guess one could fork up for the CL600.

I'm a HUGE GT-R fan but I'm talking about everyday drivability. The GT-R is INCREDIBLY harsh and the gearbox is clunky and city speeds.

If you're going to track it or drive on back roads then you're better off with a GT-R but that's not what I'm talking about.

@K30N4D3 man please. THey dont even compare two absolutely different cars.  The rear seats of the cl are very usable i dont know who told u different. If u can afford it nobody is telling u to buy it, but dont diss it. Plus 18bhp does not make much of a difference anyway.

@kwaseb I wasn't dissing the CL at all, I actually looked at getting one over my Quattroporte but decided that it's to common for the $. The problem is that if you wanted a top of the line CL (to stand out of the crowd) you'd need to spend between 146k and 160k on a AMG or the 600. Otherwise your driving the same car as ~9000 others. I took a look at the rear seats in the CL and I agree with FLDetours that they're small for a car of that size - the ones in the Maserati offer a few more inches.

I don't mean to sound negative, I have so much respect for the designers and engineers at Mercedes, but this one guys just looks really...not that good. It's like they started off the design with a giant block of clay, they had something smooth, edgy with a touch of sportiness and sophistication, then someone left the model out in the sun and it melted a little. The next guy came along and just used THAT to make the final product.

I love Mercedes, but in this case for 120k I'd rather take the Aston Martin V8 Vantage. I think its just a better car than this in any aspect, exept maybe in rear seat room, but then again, if you have 120k and are going to buy a 2 door, you might as well just get the best 2 door. Who cares about practicallity?

Just because the CL is 2 doors doesn't make it the same as the aston. The CL is a GT and the aston while having some gt qualities is much more sporty.

A lot of people do. You can say it won't be that bad but you can get in lots of situations where you really wish you had 2more seats. And I don't think the aston is better in every way. The CL is much more comfterable, luxurious, roomy, and safer.

CL is one of my favorite Mercedes classes. Great balance of performance of luxury. I'd upgrade it to a 63 AMG, though.

I know the car is 100+ dollars,m but it is just unbelievable gorgeous. I have never driving one but it looks like its worth every penny. Also, a car that drives that good and is that big and heavy is unique in its class. Even though it is extremely expensive, I will buy it (if I had the money...)
