I liked it and I laughed pretty hard at several scenes (my favorite was when the Cat cut his tail off and nearly swore). But at the same time, I also thought some of the jokes had no place in a children's film, especially that "dirty hoe" joke.

ok, sure, this movie is not that popular (and yes, we get that they "almost said a bad word" way too many times in the movie, but, come on who doesn't wanna see that?) but most of the jokes were hilarious. plus this is currently my fave movie and i got my fave song (Hang On) from the credits in this movie so i MUST defend it.

as a kid, i loved this movie. c'mon, its mike myers in a role he wanted to do for a long time. and, being a fan of the Grinch movie, it was sure to be great.

then, a few weeks ago, i saw it again, and realized how big of a piece of shit it was. myers sounds like the cowardly lion at times, that girl gets on my nerves, WAY too much adult humor for something mainly marketed for kids (its dr. seuss for christ sakes) and alec balwin straight up sucks.

I remember reading horrible reviews (like this review) and never bothering to see it because of that. But when I did (just recently by the way); I was actually quite amused, and thought a lot of it was very funny. Granted; of course its a marketing ploy; but even so; it made me laugh quite a bit; and Im fairly cynical when it comes to reviewing movies myself. You review was great by the way; even though we disagree about the movie.

It was pretty bad. I like how big they made Whoville look, but the jokes were horrid, there was really no ryming, and the actors were terribile. Why hire Mike Myers, who played a huge number of Adult movies to play a role in a kid's movie? Another thing is this was supposed to be an Aniversary film for rememberence of Dr. Suess.

The Grinch had ryming because of the Narrator and was very funny because of Jim Carrey, it was a great combination and it wasn't too Adult themed.

i loved this movie, it show off dr suess imagnation in a colurful world that was in the book. i still love the jokes, my fav part of the movie was when they asked where he comes from. he proseceds to tell them, :when a mommy and a daddy love each other very much ". i still use that joke.

Naw, I'm going to have to disagree on the "should never been made" part. To me, this movie had plenty of potential, but the dumb humor and horrible acting destroyed all hopes. I think they should remake this, a la Hulk.
