The way the Golden Dawn and all so called Western Mystery traditions do the LBRP is technically incorrect. The directions in which the angels are placed is also incorrect, just look in the Hebrew Zohar. The god names used in the ritual are also incorrect, the proper names are found in Reb Chaim Vitals commentary abridged version of the original Brit Menuchah. The Golden Dawn and the majority of western mystery schools are completely full of Qabbalistic errors.

Harpocrates is a form of the god Horus depicted as an innocent child. His mother is Nut, or Nuit in Liber AL. Aleister Crowley believed Aiwass to have been one of the Secret Chiefs of the A.'.A.'. Crowley also eventually considered Aiwass to be his own Holy Guardian Angel (representative of one's truest divine nature).

The way the Golden Dawn and all so called Western Mystery traditions do the LBRP is technically incorrect. The directions in which the angels are placed is also incorrect, just look in the Hebrew Zohar. The god names used in the ritual are also incorrect, the proper names are found in Reb Chaim Vitals commentary abridged version of the original Brit Menuchah. The Golden Dawn and the majority of western mystery schools are completely full of Qabbalistic errors.

@enrykkke Its hard to argue with misinformation other than tarot is a french card game in origin so its kind of hard to date back to ancient greece. Magic is not exclusive to christian origin either despite their ignorance in not admiting their own practices ie. exorcism. Also the new testament does a fairly good job at condemning magicians to ironic punishments in hell. Other good places to look would be in shamans, witches, vodoun and hell even eastern religion.

No offense or anythigng but more often times I see the septagram used in satanism usually representing the goat faced being that is supposed to be satan himself. It is my opinion that the Kabbala actually originates from the ancient Egyptian school of wisdom. The jews were slaves in Egypt for a long time and adopted many of the local knowledge, traditions and practices. I believe that, apart from the wisdom of the Kabbala, the abrahamic mainstream religions are heavy influenced by the Egyptian tradition. Well, islam in a much lesser degree, but christianity has some unquestionable parallels to the osirian myth...

Thats definitely true, but for someone (like me) who was tainted by the religion forced on them (Catholicism) something that looks like it was derived from Judaism could have a certain distaste that takes any magickal influence away from it. For that same reason it took me a long time to get into Kabbalah, and I only did so because Crowley never stopped mentioning it. I think learning the history can decondition you a bit.

I only disagree with one part of your comment: this is not a true magical ritual etc.. The LBRP was given to Neophytes of the GD after their initiation, and recorded and used by golden dawn initiations themselves as part of temple openings.
